Paralogue 7.2.1: Eating Under the Starry Sky

Featuring: Sula, Vivianna, Leodin, Drew, Yavae

[8:40 PM] Kwakado: After a...less than successful series of meetings with Freyzenese dignitaries, Sula and Shimi fly back to the plaza. It's even less crowded than before, as the sun sinks further and further behind the earth.

[8:44 PM] Kwakado: Shimi circled around again. No sign of the masked man, the mysterious singer, or the Prince of Thieves. He cursed himself quietly for having gotten nervous and fleeing so soon.

[8:46 PM] Mika: Vivivanna straightens out the soft blanket. While it was strange eating alone, it wasn't something that was uncommon for her. She opens a small basket and pulls out some more blankets and a few candles for light. Well eating under a starry sky could make up for the aloneness.(edited)

[8:48 PM] Kwakado: "Kol'nar, Shimi-e," he says softly.The night-feathered pegasus sinks down towards the plaza...then sharply turns away, nearly throwing him off.

[8:50 PM] Mika: She nibbles on her sandwich, watching the sun set. Mmm this was peaceful.

[8:51 PM] REWlego: Leodin sees Shimi flying through the sky, and remembered that he didn't get to talk with Sula too much, so he follows the pegasus

[8:51 PM] Kwakado: Sula clings to the reins, forcing Shimi back towards the plaza. She whinnies in protest...Sula sighs, and they approach a particular meadow not far from the plaza.

[8:52 PM] REWlego: "Where are those two going....?"

[8:52 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew stalked around the capital for dinner, he wanted to save some gold of course so he looked for something cheap...maybe free?

[8:53 PM] Kwakado: Shimi accelerates towards Viviana's meadow, flapping furiously. As they draw closer it kicks up a noticable breeze..(edited)

[8:53 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew immediatelyeia saw the dark pegasus ok like seriously its a capital and hes the only flier ive seen actually land(edited)

[8:53 PM] REWlego: Leodin sees Shimi flying towards a meadow and climbs down from the buildings to see what's going on

[8:54 PM] Mika: She frowns as her hair whips around her, maybe she should have put it up before she left. But still the sudden wind was strange.

[8:55 PM] Kwakado: At the sight of the pink whipping hair, Sula understands. He tugs on the reins as they get dangerously close. "WO-u-lo!" And Shimi slows down, passing over the meadow, then circles back daintily towards the ground.

[8:55 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew being observant now that night was falling saw Leodin climbing down as well ....why do I keep my guard up when I keep running into these guys

[8:56 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew puts away the bow he was thinking of using

[8:56 PM] REWlego: Leodin walks out into the meadow, watching Shimi and Sula, not even noticing Vivianna

[8:56 PM] Mika: "Huh?! Oh! It's you!" Seeing the horse again made her smile. "What are you two doing out so late?"

[8:57 PM] REWlego: "Ohhh That's why they came here."

[8:57 PM] REWlego: Leodin runs over to Vivianna, Sula, and Shimi.(edited)

[8:58 PM] Kwakado: "Kwemo!" Shimi lands on the grass, and Sula raises his palms. "Shimi-e is a creature of the night. I have learned to stay up later for her."

[8:58 PM] Mika: "Ohh well come closer, I'm sure she smelled my food."

[8:58 PM] ChaoticAce: its...litterally the same guys from earlier? "HEY WAIT FOR ME"(edited)

[8:59 PM] REWlego: "Nice to see all of you again." Leodin says as he nears the group

[8:59 PM] Kwakado: As they approach, Sula dismounts and begins to sit down when he hears the greetings of the running young men behind them.(edited)

[8:59 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew comes out of hiding and runs into the meadow, his hood coming off as he ran

[9:00 PM] Mika: Was everyone out so late tonight. She takes another bite of her small sandwich. Well at lease she got to see Shimi-e again.

[9:02 PM] ChaoticAce: "Here I was thinking I was about to steal dinner, turns out it's just Vivi!"

[9:02 PM] Mika: She holds back a laugh. "If you are hungry, I do have things I can spare."

[9:03 PM] ChaoticAce: "I'd hate to take from one person too many times to much...wait this is a picnic though"

[9:04 PM] Mika: She nods. "It is."

[9:05 PM] Kwakado: "I am afraid I have had...quite a lot of Freyzenese cooking for the day." Sula thinks back to the gauntlet of banquets he just escaped from, burning with a primal scorn.

[9:05 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew plopped onto the grass like a certain dwabi native bird and peered into the basket(edited)

[9:05 PM] Kwakado: "But good friends are just as filling as good food." Sula sits down a good distance away from Vivianna, leaving plenty of room for her 3 admirers(edited)

[9:06 PM] Mika: It's full of savory things. "Are you sure, I do have a little light soup you could have."

[9:06 PM] REWlego: "Are you sure it's soup, and not stew?" Leodin laughs a bit

[9:07 PM] Mika: She blushes. "It must certainly is soup!"

[9:07 PM] ChaoticAce: "What would the difference be?"(edited)

[9:08 PM] Mika: She scoots closer to Sula, trying to get a better look at Shimi-e.

[9:08 PM] REWlego: "Well, we've recently had a stew that wasn't very... pleasant.... To say the least"

[9:09 PM] ChaoticAce: "Well sounds great I didnt have any of it"

[9:09 PM] REWlego: "Good."

[9:10 PM] Mika: She ignores his words, trying not to think to hard about it. "Shimi-e I have some berries and cream in my bag, would you care for some."

[9:10 PM] Kwakado: Shimi-e comes right up to the picnic, her ebon feathers giving off a sinister glint in the dying sunlight. She's quite slender, even for a pegasus. Her face leans into Vivi and her bag(edited)

[9:10 PM] ChaoticAce: "Psst leo did she make the stew? I dont wanna get poisoned or something"

[9:11 PM] REWlego: Leodin chuckles "No, of course not. Vivianna is an excellent cook."

[9:11 PM] Mika: She smiles, and gives her a small scratch before pulling out the berries and cream, along with a small thing of soup. "For the both of you."(edited)

[9:12 PM] ChaoticAce: "Of course, from the tart I had earlier I had a feeling, but it could have also just been luck it wasnt poison"

[9:12 PM] Kwakado: Sula's ears perk up at the sound of "excellent cook". "Perhaps this will refresh my tastes after all. Many thanks, madam." Shimi, in turn, eats the berries right away, with not quite the same amount of courtesy as before.(edited)

[9:12 PM] REWlego: Leodin remembers Shimi and moves closer to her "Excuse me for a moment, Drew."

[9:14 PM] Mika: "Welcome." She starts on her second sandwich, smiling as she looks up at the Shimi. "She is so lovely. She remind me of the horse I keep as a child."

[9:14 PM] Kwakado: "I'm sure you remind her of something, too." Sula promptly snatches the soup, slurping it up with an astounding lack of etiquette.

[9:15 PM] DiurnalKnight!: A large figure begins to walk past, but then sees the group "Hm..?" Yavae lowers her hood "Oh! It's all of you again!"

[9:15 PM] REWlego: Leodin gets up and pets Shimi. "I really did miss you girl... I'm glad that I got to see you again." He says louder than he probably thought he was(edited)

[9:15 PM] Mika: "Yavae, hello! Come join us!"

[9:15 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She walks over, sniffing the air "You made another meal?"

[9:16 PM] Kwakado: Shimi snorts, and shakes his hand off with her head as she finishes her berries. Then she settles down more

[9:16 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "What's with the dark pegasus?

[9:16 PM] Mika: "It's my dinner. Well it was my dinner before everyone showed up. Oh isn't she lovely! Her name is Shimi!"

[9:17 PM] REWlego: Leodin is still standing next to Shimi, petting her

[9:18 PM] Mika: "Yes, I had a horse I named midnight. I loved that horse so very much." Her thoughts drift off

[9:18 PM] Kwakado: Shimi tolerates the rest of the pets.

[9:18 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Well, hello then Shimi."

[9:18 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew continues eating food keeping his eyes on Yavae

[9:19 PM] ChaoticAce: Err...well I guess they know her

[9:19 PM] Mika: "Oh Drew, this is my friend Yavae."

[9:19 PM] ChaoticAce: "HeslurpHey there yavae!"

[9:20 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Hm...? Who are you again?"

[9:20 PM] Mika: "C-Can..can I ride her please!"

[9:20 PM] ChaoticAce: "We dont know each other unless you got robbed, im Drew!"

[9:21 PM] Kwakado: "You want to ride her?"

[9:21 PM] Mika: Y-Yes I do!"

[9:21 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Unless I was robbed?" She looks suspicious

[9:21 PM] Kwakado: Sula closes his eyes, and lets out a loud "Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmm...."

[9:22 PM] Kwakado: ..."Leo--din, what do you think?"

[9:22 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "What do you mean by that, "Drew"?"

[9:22 PM] Mika: "It's ok if you don't want me to."

[9:22 PM] REWlego: "Uh... I think Vivianna could ride her... But... I would also like to ride Shimi."

[9:22 PM] ChaoticAce: "D....dont take that so seriously, but yeah im an Outlaw so uh....I take things"

[9:23 PM] ChaoticAce: "Only if I need to though"

[9:23 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She does not look amused "Don't even think about it, tiny man."

[9:23 PM] Kwakado: "No...it will be good for her. A good pegasus needs to be ready to move on when they lose their rider."

[9:23 PM] Kwakado: Sula smiles warmly despite the morbid implications.

[9:24 PM] Mika: She looks shocked. "How terribly sad."

[9:24 PM] Kwakado: "Both of you may ride Shimi-e."

[9:24 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Oh, need help with the pegasus riding?"

[9:25 PM] Mika: "I can get on myself."

[9:25 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew feels out of place now that someone took his robbing thing seriously

[9:25 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "You sure..? You are awefully small."

[9:25 PM] Kwakado: "Leo-din, ride behind her. I think she would be more comfortable that way."

[9:26 PM] REWlego: "I-is that okay with you, Vivianna?"

[9:26 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Hm... Vivi, if Leodin tries anything don't be afraid to kick him off in the air."

[9:26 PM] Mika: "W-Wait..we're riding together.." She tries not to sound disappointed. "It's fine."

[9:28 PM] ChaoticAce: "Well don't worry we'll be here to catch you!"

[9:28 PM] Kwakado: "Of course not!" He gives a crooked smile. "As the night comes behind the day. You cannot ride her at the same time, can you?"(edited)

[9:28 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "And don't worry, I won't let this thief pick your pocket if he catches you."

[9:28 PM] Mika: "Oh no we can't."

[9:28 PM] Mika: She smiles.

[9:28 PM] ChaoticAce: "Haha good one Yavae!"

[9:29 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "It wasn't a joke." She sounds serious

[9:29 PM] Kwakado: "Not unless Leo-din would like to visit the Spirit Realm! Ha ha ha!"

[9:29 PM] REWlego: "What?"

[9:29 PM] ChaoticAce: "aaa....ha" Drew meanwhile is sweating bullets

[9:29 PM] Mika: She can't help but laugh at his laugh, it was so..over the top.

[9:30 PM] Mika: "So shall I get on?"

[9:30 PM] Kwakado: "Shimi-e would knock you off. Let the singer calm her down first, then she will be ready."

[9:30 PM] Kwakado: Sula nods to Vivianna

[9:30 PM] REWlego: "Alright. Have fun Vivianna."

[9:31 PM] Mika: She smiles and smoothly pulls herself onto Shimi, making sure not to hit the wings. She hugs her. "This is just wonderful!"

[9:31 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Good work!"

[9:32 PM] Kwakado: Shimie shudders, surprised at the unfamiliar weight on her saddle. She begins to clop back and forth, a little nervous...

[9:32 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Oh!" She moves to catch her if she gets bucked off

[9:32 PM] ChaoticAce: "You got this Leodin!"

[9:32 PM] Mika: "Shh shh it's fine Shimie," She coos softly to the horse.

[9:32 PM] REWlego: "What?"

[9:32 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Wrong person, idiot" She says to Drew

[9:32 PM] Kwakado: "Madam! Listen close." Sula clears his throat.

[9:32 PM] ChaoticAce: "Well he's getting on next"

[9:33 PM] ChaoticAce: sigh

[9:33 PM] Kwakado: "Shimi-eeeeee ~ Sula-ba-ba-e ~ Shimieeeeeeeee ~ "(edited)

[9:34 PM] Kwakado: His short song finished, Sula extends his hand to the singer. He silently prays for mercy from the pegasus.(edited)

[9:35 PM] Mika: "What did you do?"

[9:35 PM] Kwakado: "Sing it, hurry. What is your name, girl?" Sula's cadance is rapid, but encouraging.

[9:36 PM] Mika: "Ah Vivianna!"

[9:36 PM] Kwakado: "Omm..." He raises an eyebrow. "Vivi, then.*"

[9:37 PM] Kwakado: Sula repeats the song for her. "Shimi-eeeeee ~ Vivi-ba-ba-e ~ Shimi-eeeeeeeee ~ "(edited)

[9:37 PM] Mika: "You want me to sing that?"

[9:37 PM] Kwakado: "Yes, yes. It will calm her. Then you can ride."

[9:37 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "you can do it!"(edited)

[9:38 PM] Mika: "O-Ok." She has her doubts but she sings it back softly.

[9:39 PM] Kwakado: A deep stillness overcomes the dark pegasus, and its hooves settle.

[9:40 PM] Mika: "A-Are you sure this is ok?!"

[9:40 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She calms down, less worried now

[9:41 PM] Mika: "Well..how do I get her to take flight?"

[9:42 PM] Kwakado: "First learn the earth. Then the sky."

[9:43 PM] Kwakado: "Shimi-e is brave, and does not show her fear. Lead her around this plaza first."

[9:43 PM] ChaoticAce: I know Griffons and Pegasus are different but I read nothing about rituals

[9:44 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew stood by with the rest

[9:44 PM] Mika: "Alright." She pats her mane down a little. "Lets go Shimie."

[9:45 PM] Kwakado: The pegasus begins to step forward, going where the reins lead her

[9:46 PM] Kwakado: As Sula runs his fingers through his short brown hair, sighing, he looks back at the tall newcomer.

[9:47 PM] Mika: Vivianna smiles as she reminded of being a child on her first horse. "You are making a little homesick Shimie."

[9:50 PM] Kwakado: Shimi picks up the pace a bit, growing more comfortable with the new rider.

[9:50 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She, meanwhile sniffs at the soup "Can I have some of this?"

[9:51 PM] Kwakado: "Yes, go on. It is good...but not as good as the cooking of the Dwabi! Ha!"(edited)

[9:52 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She begins eating happily

[9:52 PM] ChaoticAce: "I still havent had Dwabi food actually!"

[9:52 PM] Mika: She smiles as she notices how far they are. "So what do you think of them Shimie, aren't they all so fun. I think Yavae and Drew might make a good couple. Well maybe not good but I think they would be cute." She giggles.

[9:53 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "What, you haven't stolen any yet?"

[9:53 PM] Kwakado: Shimi doesn't understand words, but senses her enthusiasm, and quickly breaks into a full gallop.

[9:54 PM] Kwakado: " IF YOU WANT TO--ah, they're a little too far now. Ba-ba." Sula shrugs and sits down by the others.

[9:54 PM] REWlego: Leodin is just watching Shimi, patiently awaiting his turn

[9:54 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew wants to do something but doesnt in fear of broken bones

[9:54 PM] Mika: Her sounds of happiness fill the air. "Take off Shimie, lets reach the sky!"

[9:55 PM] Kwakado: Shimi doesn't take off, just more galloping.

[9:56 PM] Mika: She pouts. "Spread your wings girl, the sky is waiting for us."

[9:57 PM] Kwakado: "Oh, and Kwemo to you, madam!" Sula smiles at the Flame Tribe woman. "Forgive me for getting so caught up in this."

[9:57 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew stands up seeing as he's basically done eating

[9:57 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Hm...? It's fine. My name is Yavae, by the way."

[9:57 PM] Kwakado: Shimi does not understand these words, unfortunately. But they're approaching the edge of the plaza, with only a large moat in front of them.(edited)

[9:58 PM] Mika: "Why won't you fly?"

[9:58 PM] Kwakado: "And I am Sula. A man of magic and menagerie."

[9:58 PM] Kwakado: The edge is getting closer...It's unclear what will happen once Shimi runs out of room(edited)

[9:58 PM] REWlego: Come on, Vivianna... You can do it.

[9:59 PM] Kwakado: "I must say, Yavae, you remind me of home, ha ha."

[9:59 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Hm..? What do you mean?"

[10:00 PM] Kwakado: He smiles a bit more earnestly than he has so far today. "I've never seen a woman like you on the mainland."

[10:01 PM] Mika: "Shimie ~Fly~!" She sings the word out in of her highest clearest pitches.

[10:01 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She looks a bit suspicious as she keeps eating

[10:02 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew climbs the nearby tree to get a good look of whats going on with Shimie

[10:02 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She also looks over and sees them about to charge into a moat 'Vivi!"

[10:02 PM] Kwakado: Shimie rides right off the edge of the plaza, its wings flinging to the side like whips as they plunge towards the water...

[10:02 PM] ChaoticAce: sigh some alone time..

[10:03 PM] Kwakado: And the picnickers are swept with relief as Vivi and Shimi rise up, unharmed, flying through the air.

[10:03 PM] REWlego: "Oh... Whew! That was a close one."

[10:03 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She had started running once they went off the edge, but stops when she sees they are fine

[10:04 PM] Kwakado: Sula glances over his shoulder and grins.(edited)

[10:04 PM] ChaoticAce: like a mount would willingly dive in water....anyway im glad she hasnt fallen off

[10:04 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Be sure your Pegasus is more careful in the future."

[10:04 PM] Kwakado: "Nothing quite like the first time, oh, Drew?"

[10:05 PM] Mika: "~Go on and try to tear me down. I will be rising from the ground!~" She sings with joy as they fly

[10:05 PM] Kwakado: Shimi flaps triumphantly, inspired by the sound of her voice

[10:08 PM] Kwakado: "Leo-din, how long have you been a Freyzenese guard?"

[10:08 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She gets back to eating

[10:09 PM] Mika: She smiles. "Now what should we talk about Shimie..hmm you're lucky you're a horse. No worries just a life of running free and wild." Vivianna sighs.

[10:09 PM] REWlego: "Oh, um.. I'm not actually a guard..."

[10:10 PM] Kwakado: "...Aa. My mistake, your armor just looked so...official."

[10:10 PM] Kwakado: Shimi glides gently toward the castle, strong feelings of a certain sort flowing through her

[10:11 PM] REWlego: "Uh, no it's..." Leodin leans in close to avoid others hearing "Um, I'll tell you later, okay?"

[10:12 PM] Mika: "I bet you even have a nice male pegasus waiting for you too."

[10:12 PM] Kwakado: Sula laughs. "No need, no need. Let us just enjoy this night for now."

[10:13 PM] REWlego: "Right... Of course!"

[10:13 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew plays around with an apple

[10:13 PM] Kwakado: Royal guards look up at Vivi's flight. Some of them cheer, others remember arguing with the owner the night before and grumble.

[10:14 PM] REWlego: Leodin looks over his shoulder and sees Yavae busy eating "It's so nice to see you after all these years, Sula."

[10:15 PM] Kwakado: "Oh, it is, it is." Sula turns to his masked face. "You got taller. Had any Dwabi food lately? Ha."

[10:16 PM] ChaoticAce: "....Hey Yavae, want an apple with the soup?"

[10:16 PM] REWlego: "Unfortunately, no... They don't have much Dwabi food here."

[10:17 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Sorry but I don't like eating poison."

[10:17 PM] Kwakado: "I guess we have one good thing to say about Khlin, after all. They got some good restaurants hiding in the Nanyo."(edited)

[10:17 PM] Mika: She yawns. "We need to be getting back don't we...it was so nice up here in the sky. Just us and the stars..no sadness..no angry..no bad feelings just contentment." She starts to braid Shimie's mane as she guides her back down.

[10:18 PM] REWlego: "Yeah... Although there is a dumpling store near the plaza that has amazing food."

[10:19 PM] ChaoticAce: " yeah I imagine poison would suck, good thing apples arent poison"

[10:19 PM] Kwakado: Pegasus and rider begin to come back down towards the picnic, at a gentle incline. Shimie isn't too happy about the braids but puts up with it.

[10:19 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "I was stating that I don't trust that apple, thief."

[10:20 PM] ChaoticAce: "I could grab another apple"

[10:20 PM] Mika: She smiles. "We're back."

[10:20 PM] REWlego: "How was it? You two looked amazing!"(edited)

[10:20 PM] ChaoticAce: He points to another apple hanging from a branch above him

[10:20 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "Excelent riding!" She suddenly picks Vivi up off of her saddle and places her back on the ground

[10:21 PM] Mika: "Huh, I could have gotten down."

[10:21 PM] DiurnalKnight!: She seems to be ignoring Drew for a bit

[10:21 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "I was trying help, sorry about that."

[10:21 PM] Kwakado: Sula turns around and gets up, looking straight at his mount for the first time since the ride began. A tear wells up in his eye, but he dabs it away with a crimson sleeve.

[10:21 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew tosses the apple the opposite direction of everyone as hard as he could

[10:22 PM] Mika: "It alright, and it was wonderful! Shimie is just wonderful!"

[10:22 PM] ChaoticAce: He takes a book out and just reads(edited)

[10:22 PM] DiurnalKnight!: "I am glad you liked that flight. I never cared for flying much myself"(edited)

[10:23 PM] Kwakado: "Very good, both of you. I felt the Keiji-i in my feet." He begins fixing her mane(edited)
