Drew, a plucky rogue who once fought alongside Freyzenwald's Princess Luna, steals from the same chef whose steak Marrok is enjoying. The Wolfskin quickly outruns and overpowers Drew, and demands he return what he stole. Drew agrees to, but asks Marrok to buy him lunch, which he does using a dragon scale to pay for it. They share their names, and Marrok explains shapeshifting to an enthusiastic Drew. As they part, Marrok gives Drew a bag of coins, and warns him not to steal again.
[8:56 AM] ChaoticAce: Ughhh I can practically taste the food here Drew walked around eyeing anyone who he could probably take something from
[8:56 AM] ChaoticAce: I havent been getting too many...donations from bandits...back to stealing!
[9:00 AM] Marrok: Marrok puts his necklace back under his shirt and finishes his steak. That was wonderful... but I must find that strange man again... He approaches the chef and pulls out a small pouch, a jingle of coins coming from hit. "Thank you for the steak sir, it was fantastic." He hands the man a few coins before heading off towards a nearby shop.
[9:17 AM] ChaoticAce: Hmmm....not a fan of steak but I guess i'll take it...litterally!..I crack myself up. Drew approached the chef(edited)
[9:55 AM] ChaoticAce: "I heard from your last customer that your steaks are great! So I wa-" The chef immediately recognised him because he stole from his brother
[9:56 AM] ChaoticAce: Drew grabbed the pouch of gold still on the table before running away, the chef still yelling THEIF, CATCH HIM!
[9:58 AM] ChaoticAce: "HEY I SAVED YOUR BROTHER!.....and then stole from him...theres a difference!"
[9:58 AM] Marrok: Marrok shuffles around in the nearby shopping tent, primarily just curious about the various trinkets and clothes available for purchase. His eyes stop, fixed on a lovely lovley looking scarf when he hears the commotion. "Hey, can you hold onto this for me for a moment?" He asks the shopkeep before sprinting outside towards the noise.
[9:58 AM] Marrok: Seeing the events unfold, and the direction the chef was pointing, Marrok listens and smells for a brief moment, before sprinting after the thief.
[9:59 AM] ChaoticAce: Drew looks behind him as he runs
[10:00 AM] ChaoticAce: A half-human near the capital? Thats actually kinda co- Drew almost trips
[10:01 AM] ChaoticAce: "Hey dont make me use my bow on you!...cuz i.....wont....man I havent ran like this is a longtime"
[10:07 AM] Marrok: Marrok slowly gains on the thief. "Return what you stole and I will let you go!" He yells out before jumping at Drew in an attempt to tackle him.
[10:18 AM] ChaoticAce: "Fine then" Drew jumps and turns around aiming his bow at Marrok, pulling the arrow back as they both fall/slide on the ground
[10:27 AM] Marrok: Marrok jumps on Drew, trying his best to restrain him. A low growl can be heard escaping his throat. "Release the what you have taken, and we will have no quarrel."
[10:29 AM] ChaoticAce: "Why do you even talk like that!" Drew kicks him off and stands up
[10:29 AM] ChaoticAce: "Ugh this isnt even worth it anymore"(edited)

[10:32 AM] Marrok: Marrok staggers back a bit, before standing upright. His tail is wagging aggressively and his growl still remains, although quieter. That kick was stronger than I expected... "And what would that condition be?"
[10:37 AM] ChaoticAce: " can you buy me lunch?.....I mightve bought it myself but someone doesnt know what survival is"
[10:37 AM] ChaoticAce: "I was just gona buy a steak but nooo, it's obviously a theif!"
[10:38 AM] ChaoticAce: Drew starts ranting to himself
[10:40 AM] Marrok: Poor guy, he's obviously desperate if he was pushed to resulting to this. I refuse to fault a man for surviving. Marrok stops growling, and his tail calms. A softened expression now on his face. "Hey, I can allow that. Although, I do require what you stole first."
[10:41 AM] ChaoticAce: Drew tosses the pouch at him "....I wasnt gona actually shoot you with an arrow by the way"
[10:47 AM] Marrok: Marrok catches the pouch and puts it away before turning and walking towards the food stall. "Come with me. I will smooth things over and set you up with some food."
[10:49 AM] ChaoticAce: "Awww yeah!" Drew eagerly follows behind looking at whatever parts are unique to beast races
[10:49 AM] ChaoticAce: "You know where I came from we didnt have...uhh...half-humans?"
[11:06 AM] Marrok: Marroks tail is idly wagging, although slowly. He continues walking. "And where is you came from... actually, I would like to know the name of someone I buy a meal for. Would you mind sharing yours?"
[11:08 AM] ChaoticAce: "Names Drew"
[11:11 AM] Marrok: Marrok begins to get closer to the food stall. "So... Drew... My name is Marrok. Where is it exactly you are from?"
[11:15 AM] ChaoticAce: "I actually came here by boat, grew up really far from this region in Thrandia"(edited)
[11:25 AM] Marrok: Marrok ponders on the name, trying to place where it is. Doesn't ring a bell. "Hmmm... I cannot remember where that is, mind telling me over lunch?" He arrives at the food stall, approaching the chef. Words can be overheard, primarily the from the chefs frustration. Marrok hands him the pouch along with a blue scale and the man quickly returns to his stall and begins to prepare a steak. Turning back to Drew. "See. All settled. Although, your steak will take a few minutes to cook. How would you like it done?"
[11:28 AM] ChaoticAce: "Rare, kinda like how I rarely eat steak Hahaaa!"
[11:30 AM] Marrok: Marrok looks at the man for a moment before stifling a giggle. He turns back to the chef. "Another rare please sir!" He then motions over to a nearby table and sits. "Don't be shy, I won't bite." Much.(edited)
[11:34 AM] ChaoticAce: Drew sits down "im not really sure what you guys consider offensive, usually I get by reading books about different things but..."
[11:35 AM] ChaoticAce: He grabs a medium sized pouch and shows him 2 books(edited)
[11:36 AM] ChaoticAce: "sigh none of these talk about shapeshifters"
[11:38 AM] Marrok: "Well if your interested in shapeshifters, then I can tell you a little about them from my own personal experience." He motions to his ears and tail. "I might have a little more experience than the average traveler."
[11:43 AM] Marrok: "If you have any questions, feel free to ask."
[11:46 AM] ChaoticAce: Drew starts devouring the steak untilk theres only half left Yesss finally I can learn more about them!
[11:48 AM] ChaoticAce: "cough So how exactly do you guys transform? What do most people think about shapeshifters? Is there a proper name besides shapeshifters? I mean I talked to a manakete but-" Drew rambles again and asks even more obscure questions
[11:59 AM] Marrok: Marrok pauses and thinks for a moment. "Well to start I would prefer the term Wolfskin over shapeshifter, as that is what I am. As you mentioned there are also Manaketes, and if I recall correctly even some Kitsune. The Kitsune are a race of fox people as opposed to my more... wolfish appearance. Thoughts on people like me range from person to person, though bandits tend to try and hunt us for our fur." He pauses for another moment.
[12:01 PM] Marrok: "Hmmm... As for how we transform I do not know all the specifics. What I do know is that it requires a gem like this one." He pulls his necklace out from his shirt. "This was a gift from my late brother, it allows me to use my power to fight. I do sometimes wonder what wonders must have been performed to store such a power, but the knowledge is beyond me."
[12:07 PM] ChaoticAce: "Thanks for the info Marrok!" Drew ate some more food "a shame I still dont have a proper job or else i'd probably be studying all day"
[12:10 PM] Marrok: "No problem... How about this. You promise not to steal anything and I'll give you this." He holds up a small sack of coins. "It should be enough to get you through the week. Ask around, see if anyone could use an extra hand. You will have a much better chance at finding a job if you no longer have to worry about how you will find your next meal."
[12:17 PM] ChaoticAce: "That's a great proposition! I have a feeling it'll just end up being the routinely 'oh look someones in trouble, save them, get like a meals worth of gold' and thats it"
[12:17 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew finishes his food "wow that was good"
[12:22 PM] Marrok: Marrok tosses him the sack. "Now if I do catch you stealing during this week, I will turn you in for it. We do have a deal on this." His stomach grumbles a little. "The steak here is pretty good, but I have tasted better. There is this strange hooded man somewhere who makes the best steak I have ever had." He shuffles his dragoncharm back under his shirt. "Have you heard about the party in the castle? If you are seeking work I would reccomend attending that."
[12:37 PM] ChaoticAce: "Yeah I was on my way there...you know before I smelled the steak.. But anyway even though stealing has been kind of easy I wouldnt mind going back to my old lifestyle, hopefully someone at the party needs some help."
[12:39 PM] Marrok: "I wish you the best of luck!" Marrok says with a smile before standing. "I have told the chef not to hassle you if you come buy to purchase anything. Please do not make me regret that. Maybe I will see you again at the party, but for now I have a scarf to go buy." He then walks back over to the sales tent from earlier, and enters.
[12:41 PM] Marrok: He walks back out a few minutes later, now with a silver scarf adorning his neck.
[12:46 PM] ChaoticAce: "Ooooh, pretty!" Drew stands up
[12:47 PM] ChaoticAce: "Welp, with my luck you'll probably be at the party"
[12:48 PM] ChaoticAce: Drew double checks he has everything, including whatevers on his belt
[12:56 PM] Marrok: Marrok gives the man one last grin and a wave before walking off, his tail wagging behind him. He seemed nice, I hope everything works out well for him.(edited)
