[9:44 PM] REWlego: At one point during his stay in the castle, Leodin realized that he was falling behind on his training. He didn't really have a reason for not keeping up with it other than it being out of sight, out of mind. He felt a bit ashamed for not training more, especially since he was just about to leave on an expedition with Queen Lunarea.
Leodin makes his way to the castle's training grounds and starts practicing. It seems to go on for hours until he steps aside to take a short break.
[9:46 PM] Sabanrab: Seeing as it's been a while since Claire wielded her sword, it was high time for her to make her way to the training grounds.
[9:46 PM] Sabanrab: as she arrives, she sees that Leodin has been practising already. She walks over. "Leodin! There you are!"
[9:47 PM] REWlego: Leodin hears Claire and turns to face her.
"Oh, Hi Claire!"
[9:48 PM] Sabanrab: "Where have you been? I don't think I've seen you at all ever since the festival, oh thank goodness you're alright!"
[9:50 PM] REWlego: "The answer's a bit boring, but I've really just been spending some time alone... I appreciate your concern though!"
[9:51 PM] Sabanrab: "I see..how have you been?"
[9:56 PM] REWlego: "Ah, as well as you can be in times like these... What about you? Versailles told me that you haven't been doing well."
[9:57 PM] Sabanrab: "Well..heh...about that... It's just been a series of sickness and such. Working in the medic ward takes a lot out of ya."
[9:58 PM] REWlego: "Well you must be feeling better if you've come to the training grounds though, right?"
[10:00 PM] Sabanrab: "Much better actually" she stretches her arms
[10:03 PM] REWlego: "Good, I'm glad. Feeling well enough to spar?"
He raises up the hilt of a training sword to her.
[10:05 PM] Sabanrab: "Of course!" she takes the sword and positions herself for a round of sparring
[10:06 PM] REWlego: Leodin grabs another sword for himself and positions himself a few feet from Claire.
[10:06 PM] Sabanrab: ==AND FIGHT==
[10:07 PM] Sabanrab: And Leodin got like, gooder hits wow
[10:09 PM] REWlego: After a finishing blow that knocks her to the ground, he reaches out a hand to help her back up.
[10:11 PM] Sabanrab: "Ha...ha... good fight...you up for another round?" she asks as she uses his hand to pull herself up
[10:12 PM] REWlego: "Of course!"
He steps back and gets into position.
[10:12 PM] Sabanrab: ==ROUND TWO WOW==
[10:13 PM] Sabanrab: This time, Claire was able to get the better of the hits wow
[10:18 PM] REWlego: This time Leodin gets knocked down.(edited)
[10:21 PM] Sabanrab: She walks over, offering a hand
[10:22 PM] REWlego: He takes the hand and stands back up.
"Good fighting! I guess we can't win 'em all."
[10:24 PM] Sabanrab: "Heh, you got me pretty good the first round though."
[10:26 PM] REWlego: "Normally I would ask for a tie-breaker, but.. I've already been training for a while now," he says between breaths.
"And you're definetely the toughest person to spar with."
[10:31 PM] Sabanrab: "Oh you flatter me, but you're pretty good yourself. I normally don't lose spars fellow knights." She said as she set her sword aside. "Well, I would suggest taking a break than, or are you gonna call it a day?"
[10:33 PM] REWlego: Leodin sets his sword down as well.
"Hm, not sure yet... What about you?"
[10:33 PM] Sabanrab: "I have some practising to catch up with, so I think I'll be here for a while."
[10:38 PM] REWlego: "Huh, I don't have much else to do, but I do need to go eat. I haven't had much to eat today due to being here."(edited)
[10:39 PM] Sabanrab: "Alright. Go eat, you shouldn't stand around on an empty stomach."
[10:40 PM] REWlego: "I'll be back later, so don't leave until we break that tie!"

[12:24 PM] REWlego: Leodin returns to the training grounds after eating, holding a chocolate muffin. He had seen Versialles taking some to her a few days earlier, and while this one may not be from Vivianna, he thought that she would like it after training for a while.
[12:27 PM] Sabanrab: Claire was just about finished for a bit and was sitting against the wall
[12:28 PM] REWlego: Leodin waves and walks over, then sits next to Claire.
"Here, I got you this."
He holds the muffin up, offering it to her.
[12:32 PM] Sabanrab: "Oh...thanks..." she fakes a smile. it's just another muffin Claire, it can't add that much, can it? she takes it and bites a bit out of it.
[12:34 PM] REWlego: "I saw Versailles bring you some before, so I figured you wouldn't mind another one."
[12:35 PM] Sabanrab: "Uh..heheh..yeah! I..uh..like these so, thanks!" she said as she took another bite.
[12:35 PM] Sabanrab: I hate this so much
[12:36 PM] REWlego: "They're probably not as good as the ones Vivianna made... I don't know anyone who could top her cooking!"
[12:38 PM] Sabanrab: "Yeah! She is good at cooking!"
[12:38 PM] Sabanrab: She takes another painful bite of the muffin
[12:46 PM] REWlego: "How about after you finish that, we spar for one more round to decide the tie-breaker."
[12:48 PM] Sabanrab: She finishes the muffin. "Yeah, sounds good." she gets up and grabs a pair of practise swords, passing one to Leodin
[12:51 PM] REWlego: He takes the sword and gets into position.
[1:02 PM] Sabanrab: Taking her stance, she steels herself for a bout of sparring
[1:05 PM] REWlego: He nods to signify that he's ready before starting with a quick slash.
[1:10 PM] Sabanrab: Claire plants her feet as she retaliated with her own swing, cancelling his, while making contact
[1:11 PM] REWlego: Leodin takes the hit and steps back before preparing himself for her next strike.
[1:11 PM] Sabanrab: After her first swing, she follows through with a vertical swing
[1:15 PM] REWlego: Leodin uses his sword to block the blade and then hits her with the hilt of his sword.
[1:16 PM] REWlego: After that, he slashes towards her feet to try and knock her off balance.
[1:18 PM] Sabanrab: And she did lose her balance, falling on her back, she quickly recovers by rolling back, to create some distance.
[1:19 PM] Sabanrab: After she got up, she lunged forward with a thrust
[1:20 PM] REWlego: Leodin parries the attack, stepping to the side and slashes his sword at her as she lunges past him.
[1:22 PM] REWlego: He follows up the parry with a vertical swing, trying to hit her before she can regain her footing from the lunge.
[1:25 PM] Sabanrab: Even with losing her balance, she was able to bring her sword up for a block
[1:26 PM] Sabanrab: After blocking, she brings her sword up for a wide slash
[1:27 PM] REWlego: He rolls underneath the slash, then kneels on the ground and swipes upwards.
[1:28 PM] REWlego: That hit pushes her back a bit, so he jumps up and and continues with a forward thrust.
[1:33 PM] Sabanrab: Unable to keep up with the two successive hits, Claire gets knocked down again
[1:33 PM] Sabanrab: "agh" as she hits the ground. "Your win."(edited)
[1:35 PM] REWlego: He walks over and reaches out his right hand.
"I have to say, that win was pure luck."
[1:36 PM] Sabanrab: "Was it? I don't think so...I can't keep up with your speed."
[1:37 PM] REWlego: "Either way, I believe that settles the tie."
[1:37 PM] Sabanrab: "Indeed." She grabs his hand and gets up. "You're the winner."
[1:40 PM] REWlego: "Still, you did quite excellent yourself."
[1:40 PM] Sabanrab: "Thank you...it's been a while since I fought, last time was during a rescue raid"(edited)

[1:45 PM] REWlego: "Well then we'll just have to do this more often!"
[1:46 PM] Sabanrab: "Right! Oh, by the way, have you heard about how Gallaran declared war on Freyzenwald?"
[1:47 PM] REWlego: "Yeah, I have... It's even believed that they might have caused the monster attack."
[1:48 PM] Sabanrab: "I don't believe it..." She sits down, leaning her back against the wall
[1:49 PM] REWlego: Leodin walks over and sits down next to her.
"What about it don't you believe?"
[1:51 PM] Sabanrab: "It feels...so...weird, the timing and..."
[1:52 PM] REWlego: "And what?"
[1:53 PM] Sabanrab: "When, when I was working in the medic ward...I met someone, now that I think about it, he fought with us during the festival, when the monsters appeared. And it looked like one of his friends were unconscious "
[1:53 PM] REWlego: "What happened to him?"
[1:54 PM] Sabanrab: "I'm not sure...but the man I met, was from Gallaran... And he spoke of others that were with him."(edited)

[2:00 PM] Sabanrab: "I don't think I...oh right! Lorcan"
[2:03 PM] REWlego: "Lorcan? I met him as well. He never seemed very hostile. I would be very surprised if he had anything to do with this."
[2:04 PM] Sabanrab: "That's why I'm confused...if, there was a country like this, where people from all over were converging, why lead such a dangerous attack when your own civilians are at risk of harm?"
[2:05 PM] REWlego: "Not only civilians, but nobility."
[2:06 PM] Sabanrab: "Right..." her head was too busy thinking to realize lorcan was nobility(edited)
[2:09 PM] REWlego: "Hopefully Queen Lunarea can find some answers during her expedition."
[2:10 PM] Sabanrab: "Speaking of, I assume you plan on joining?"
[2:11 PM] REWlego: "Yeah, I was... convinced, I guess you could say."
[2:11 PM] Sabanrab: "How so?"
[2:14 PM] REWlego: "I hadn't decided whether I would stay at the castle or not, but Princess Ellis encouraged me to join her sister."
[2:14 PM] Sabanrab: "I see, so the princess asked you herself..."
[2:15 PM] REWlego: "Mhmm"
[2:25 PM] Sabanrab: "Wow...to be asked by the princess..."
[2:29 PM] REWlego: "I mean, she had asked me about it and when I told her of my indifference, she encouraged me to join Queen Lunarea."
[2:30 PM] Sabanrab: "I feel that the princess just wanted to be sure her sister was safe."
[2:32 PM] REWlego: "Yes, of course. The queen's mission is paramount."
[2:32 PM] Sabanrab: "Indeed. All the more reason to keep training." She gets up, grabbing her actual sword. "I'm going to keep practising, you?"
[2:36 PM] REWlego: "Sure."
He stands and unsheathes Morderrand.
[2:39 PM] Sabanrab: And she resumes her practise(edited)
