Continuing through the party, Claire and Versailles stop by a carnival mallet game, which Claire easily wins. She decides to give her teddy-bear prize to Versailles' mother, and wonders where she is. Versailles assumes that she is busy with tailor work. The brand-new couple is so completely entranced by each other, that they can hardly focus on anything in the plaza but each other.
Then, as the monsters appear in the plaza, Claire defends Versailles and his mother Chu from them. She urges Claire to evacuate with her and Versailles, but Claire is eager to put her training to use and defeat the monsters. Relenting, Chu insists that Versailles support her as a healer, and opens his robe to allow him to move better. They change out of their festival yukatas, and Claire's childhood friend Alisa comes with Claire's equipment, then splits off to help with the evacuation. Claire and Versailles return to the plaza.
[9:22 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles closely holds onto Claire and beams at all the other party-goers.
[9:27 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: At one point, they come across a game where one uses their brute strength to strike down on an air pump that will launch a little wooden block upwards.
[9:27 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Claire points at the prize that is advertised for the one who breaks the highest record
[9:29 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She looks at Versailles with a twinkle in her eye
[9:29 PM] spikethe3rd: He nods in approval.

[9:30 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Claire walks up to the mallet as she rolls up her sleeves.
[9:30 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She picks it up and gets used to the weight.
[9:31 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: hm, a bit heavier than a steel sword... Not too heavy. she says to herself as she winds up
[9:31 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: And strikes down on the pump with all her might, sending the block to the very top of the scale
[9:31 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Where it struck a bell.
[9:31 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: The crowd goes wild
[9:35 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: The shocked game master congratulates her with a teddy bear, wearing a small shirt decorated with the Freyzenwald crest
[9:35 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She accepts it and skips back to Versailles
[9:35 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "I did it!"
[9:36 PM] spikethe3rd: "Yeah, top of the pole!"
[9:37 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She giggles with glee
[9:39 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: As she returns to his side.
[9:39 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Ahh... This is so much fun!"
[9:40 PM] spikethe3rd: "Yeah, I'm glad I'm here with you."
[9:41 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Me too." she leans her head on him
[9:42 PM] spikethe3rd: He hugs her close, leaning his head on hers.(edited)
[9:44 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Hmm, I think I want to give this to your mother." she looked at the teddy bear
[9:45 PM] spikethe3rd: "I'm sure she'll love it."
[9:46 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Heh, me too"
[9:47 PM] spikethe3rd: "Yeah she does love you too." he teased.
[9:49 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: The comment caught her off-guard as her cheeks grew red. "But, why isn't she enjoying the party?"
[9:50 PM] spikethe3rd: "Oh, I'm sure she's around here somewhere..."
[9:50 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Oh so she is out and about?"
[9:51 PM] spikethe3rd: "Yeah, probably talking with associates."
[9:53 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "I see, well, as long as she's having fun, I guess I don't need to worry."
[9:55 PM] spikethe3rd: "Yeah, she is preoccupied with work alot. But its her passion, so I think its good for her."
[9:57 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Hmm, after this election, where are you gonna go?" she says after a while
[10:00 PM] spikethe3rd: "Well, before I was planning on returning to my Monastery, But now..." He looks at her smiling.
[10:01 PM] spikethe3rd: "I'll go wherever you go."
[10:03 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "O-oh" she said, her cheeks burning up. "Th-that was my plan, to go wherever you go." she said looking back at him
[10:04 PM] spikethe3rd: "haha, You are too perfect!"
[10:06 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Don't laugh!" she said, pushing him lightly. "Its embarrassing for me as it is..." she said with a pout
[10:08 PM] spikethe3rd: "Yeah, Perfection is something you should be embarrassed about. I mean, I'd be embarrassed to be seen with me too. You're too good for me I suppose..."
[10:09 PM] spikethe3rd: He sighs dramatically.
[10:10 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Oh stop." she said as she playfully pushed him, before going right by his side again. "You're much better anyways..."
[10:12 PM] spikethe3rd: "No, I don't think I could have won my mother a teddy bear." He leaned on her slightly
[10:13 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Look, I said you're better, so you're better go it?" she said with a happy tone
[10:15 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She rests her head on his chest, looking up at him
[10:15 PM] spikethe3rd: He looks back down at her.
[10:17 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "What?"
[10:18 PM] spikethe3rd: "I just." He slowly leans in and kisses her.
[10:20 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Claire jumps back in shock and surprise
[10:21 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Wide eyed for a moment, before she hides in his chest
[10:21 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "mumble not fair"
[10:26 PM] spikethe3rd: "Well, like I said, you the most beautiful person in the world, So I had to take the chance."
[10:32 PM] spikethe3rd: He puts his hand on her back and rubs it slowly.
[10:41 PM] spikethe3rd: "I don't know how I got so lucky as to meet you."
[5:21 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Oh I don't know!" she said, putting her chin on his chest to look up. "I think we're both lucky to have found each other"
[5:22 PM] spikethe3rd: "I suppose so..." He stares into her eyes.
[5:24 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "What is it?"
[5:24 PM] spikethe3rd: "I can't stop looking at you."
[5:25 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Oh, You..." she looked to the side, all embarrassed and such. "But I guess I'm the same." she said looking back at him
[5:59 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles sighs and smiles.
[6:02 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Claire sighs as well as she turns around, leaning her back against him.
[6:12 PM] spikethe3rd: "Should we tour the festival more?"
[6:13 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Sure!"
[6:13 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She turns around and grabs his hand, pulling him along
[6:15 PM] spikethe3rd: He stumbles after her until he catches up.

[6:01 PM] spikethe3rd: As the screeching grew louder, Versailles held Claire tightly. "What is this..."
[6:03 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She held him as well. "I don't know...I'm a bit scared... We should get out. We need to find your mother."
[6:05 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles nodded and started walking through the crowd
[6:07 PM] spikethe3rd: At the various entryways he sees monsters start to appear. He grabs Claire's hand and starts moving faster.
[6:09 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: A monster appears our of no where and brings down an axe at Versailles. Claire pulls him away and grabs the monster's arms, pushing it away
[6:10 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Hurry!" she grabs versailles's hand and begins to run as fast as they could in a yukata
[6:11 PM] spikethe3rd: He looks worriedly through the crowd looking for his mother.
[6:12 PM] spikethe3rd: "There she is!" He points to his mother who is covering her ears, unknowing of the invading monsters.
[6:13 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Let's go!" she picks up a crude sword that fell from on of the monsters and began fighting the monsters surrounding Chu
[6:14 PM] spikethe3rd: V: "Mother come on, we need to leave!" He grabbed her arm and she looked at him and Claire.
[6:14 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "Oh, I'm glad you- WHAT IS THAT!" she points at the monster as Claire strikes it.
[6:15 PM] spikethe3rd: V: "It doesn't matter, we need to go!"
[6:15 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Tsk! I can't fight in this! We must hurry!"
[6:15 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She said as the monster began to push her back
[6:15 PM] spikethe3rd: Chu nods and starts making for an exit.
[6:16 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Claire shoves the monster down and follows
[6:17 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "We can hide out at the guard post nearby, they have a shelter for civilians."
[6:17 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "I'm afraid I can't do that." she said as she caught up
[6:18 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "We don't know how many of these things will appear, I'm gonna help the guards fight."
[6:19 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "What? But you can't! Not to mention you won't be able to maneuver in that Yukata!"
[6:19 PM] spikethe3rd: V: "She can do it Mom. I know she'll stay safe."
[6:20 PM] spikethe3rd: They enter the shelter, guards ushering in the civilians who came.
[6:20 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "I'm gonna go back to the inn, that's where my armour and sword are."
[6:20 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Versailles, stay here."
[6:21 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "No Claire, You can't it's not safe." She grabs Claire's arm.
[6:22 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Chu, I'll be fine. This is the kinda a day I've been training for." she said as she held her hand.
[6:22 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Trust me."
[6:22 PM] spikethe3rd: Chu fell silent.
[6:23 PM] spikethe3rd: She looks at Versailles.
[6:23 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "You need to go make sure she's safe."
[6:23 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: Alisa ran in, holding her bow and an arrow. On her back is Claire's sword
[6:24 PM] spikethe3rd: V: "But-" Chu shakes her head.
[6:24 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "You need to do this."
[6:25 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "No, Chu. Versailles can't fight. And I'm not sure I'll be able to protect him while I'm fighting out there, this bunker is where he should be, with you."
[6:25 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: She said as Alisa silently gave Claire her sword before she went out again to evacuate civilians
[6:25 PM] spikethe3rd: Chu shakes her head again.
[6:26 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "He may not look it, but he can heal the wounded. And I sure as hell am not letting you go alone."
[6:27 PM] spikethe3rd: Chu pulls out a knife and cuts Versailles robes between the legs.
[6:27 PM] spikethe3rd: V: "WHOA."
[6:27 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "There, now you can run."
[6:27 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "Don't worry, I can make you another."
[6:27 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "B-But. I'm just scared something could happen to him...and I won't be able to do anything."
[6:28 PM] spikethe3rd: Chu puts her hands on Claire's shoulder.
[6:29 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "And I'm scared something could happen to you, and sending him is all I can do. Now, do you want me to cut your dress too?" She motioned to the knife.
[6:31 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Hmm, I think I can borrow something from the guards here..." she said looking around at the soldiers.
[6:32 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: [A] "already ahead of you, get changed." she said running out of the storage with a set of armour. "I'll be around the city, making sure people are safe. Go and get em." she said as she handed her the armour with a pat on the shoulder
[6:33 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: [C] "Right, you too Alisa." she headed for the storage again, quickly changed, wearing plain clothes underneath and ran out
[6:34 PM] [digbickdee] bemoney: "Let's go."
[6:35 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles nodded. He quickly hugged Chu.
[6:35 PM] spikethe3rd: M: "Be safe."
[6:35 PM] spikethe3rd: V: "We will be." He held up his festal and followed Claire out the door.
