[7:58 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Today's the date. Claire waited under a tree, wearing the dress Vivianna picked out for her yesterday. Pretty'd up with the help of Alisa, Claire waited with anticipation and excitment for Versailles to show up.
[8:00 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles walks along the road looking around for the landmarks he's trying to follow. He doesn't notice Claire because of her different appearance and starts to pass her.
[8:01 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "A-ah! Versailles! Where are you going?" she follows behind him, reaching out for his arm
[8:03 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles spins around hearing Claire's voice and looking at her notices her attire. "Oh! I'm sorry Claire I didn't recognize you in that dress!"
[8:03 PM] spikethe3rd: He looks her up and down and then glances at his Monk robes. "Umm... I feel underdressed."
[8:05 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "N-no, don't. It just would have felt weird if I was dressed normally, I personally think you look fine in that."
[8:06 PM] spikethe3rd: "Oh, Thank you." He smiles, happy he didn't mess up. "You look very nice yourself. Your dress is lovely"
[8:09 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Re-really?" she said, her cheeks beginning to turn red. "Thank you.."
[8:10 PM] spikethe3rd: "So, shall we go?"
[8:12 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "U-uh right!" she said, snapping out of her little moment. "The restaurant is called the, the uh."
[8:12 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She blanked for a moment
[8:12 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "The Black Pearl! And if we head down that way, we should be there soon."
[8:14 PM] spikethe3rd: "Sounds great!" Versailles motioned for Claire to lead.
[8:15 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Right" she said as she started to walk towards the restaurant. "Um, if you don't mind, could we hold hands?"
[8:15 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She asked, slowing her pace a bit
[8:16 PM] spikethe3rd: "Sure, I don't want to get lost again." He offered his hand.
[8:17 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "E-exactly." she lied straight through her teeth, kinda.
[8:18 PM] Kwakado: Further down the main streets of Amaterasu stood the Black Pearl, a well-regarded, fine restaurant, featuring a wide variety of high-class Amian cuisine. Despite its name, the building was actually quite square, especially compared to the round-roofed structures around it.(edited)
[8:20 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "This is it." she said as they arrived.
[8:21 PM] spikethe3rd: "It looks very nice," Versailles gazed at the architecture.
[8:22 PM] Kwakado: While the back of the restaurant (from what they could see) had a shady atmosphere, the front was well-lit and inviting, with ostentatious braziers splashing their light along onyx lettering: "B L A C K P E A R L"
[8:23 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Shall we enter?" she said as she went to open the door
[8:24 PM] spikethe3rd: "Lead the way!" he followed closely behind
[8:25 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She's now holding the door open for Versailles
[8:26 PM] Kwakado: Its lights are dim, its waiters are sharp, and its round mahogany tables are polished to a pearlish shine. The crowd brims with cosmopolitan flair, with visiting tourists and travelers from all over the region.
[8:27 PM] spikethe3rd: "Thank you." Versailles steps through the open door and waits for Claire as he looks around the interior.
[8:28 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire follows behind him. As they enter, Claire looks around. "Its a nice place."
[8:29 PM] Kwakado: "Welcome to the Black Pearl, sir. This way, please." An older waiter comes up to them, taking them to a table near the center of the floor.
[8:31 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles pulls out a chair and motions to Claire to sit down.
[8:31 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Why thank you." she says as she sits
[8:32 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles smiles as he takes his seat.
[8:36 PM] Kwakado: The waiter, clearly seasoned, handed them a pair of menus. The range of dishes was as wide as the monk's travel history, reaching from Gallaran to Dwabi.
[8:36 PM] Kwakado: Though the latter did seem fairly overrepresented, upon closer inspection....some of these dishes were truly obscure.
[8:37 PM] Kwakado: He stepped away, giving the obvious newcomers time to settle in.
[8:39 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire looks through the menu with unending curiousity
[8:41 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "So, do you know any of these foods?"
[8:43 PM] spikethe3rd: "Many seem familiar but I can't remember all of them."
[8:45 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "They all seem so, exotic..."
[8:47 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "It's so hard to choose one."
[8:48 PM] spikethe3rd: "Well, I would say to try something new."
[8:48 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She laughs. "This is all new."
[8:51 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Hmm, what are you having?"
[8:53 PM] spikethe3rd: "Hmm... I'm thinking about having a Dwabi Spicy Smoked Fish."
[8:56 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I think I'll be having the .... I, still don't know..."
[8:57 PM] Kwakado: The waiter approaches, recognizing Versailles is prepared. "Have we decided?"
[8:57 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Uh, I'm still deciding..."
[8:58 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She said, trying her best to visualize what each dish would look/taste like
[8:58 PM] Kwakado: "Oh, my apologies ma'am." He withdraws from the table, moving on to a pair of enthusiastic sailor captains.
[9:00 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire continues to look at the menu with an undaunting determination to make a decision
[9:03 PM] spikethe3rd: "You can always ask what they'd recommend. Otherwise, you could just pick something randomly."
[9:04 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "R-right. Uh, excuse me!"
[9:04 PM] spikethe3rd: "No no. Don't worry about it, take as long as you want."
[9:05 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I think getting a recommendation would be better at this point."
[9:07 PM] spikethe3rd: "Alright." Versailles waved down the waiter.
[9:08 PM] Kwakado: "mm!" He hurried over. "How may I be of service?"
[9:09 PM] spikethe3rd: "We'd like to know what you'd recommend from the menu."
[9:10 PM] Kwakado: "Well, the Jerk Chicken has been quickly rising in popularity. Our Lady Ellis holds it in high regard, herself."
[9:11 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "R-really? Her majesty herself?" she thought for a moment. "I guess that's what I'll have then."
[9:12 PM] spikethe3rd: "And I'll have the Dwabi Fish"
[9:13 PM] Kwakado: The waiter nods, and makes his way to the kitchen.
[9:13 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "phew I don't think I would have ever decided if not for that, thanks for the suggestion."
[9:14 PM] spikethe3rd: "Of course. Maybe we'll have to come back later to try more?"
[9:14 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Heh, maybe."
[9:17 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I, I wouldn't mind coming again with you." she said quieter
[9:17 PM] spikethe3rd: "What was that?" He leaned forward to listen better.
[9:18 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I, I said I wouldn't mind coming again, with you." she said, her voice started normally, but softened as she spoke
[9:19 PM] spikethe3rd: "Ah, I'd love to come back with you too!"
[9:19 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "R-really?" her whole face brightens up
[9:20 PM] spikethe3rd: "Of course! We could even bring your other friends if you want. I'd love to meet some of them."
[9:20 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "O-oh, right." still smiling, but the brightness fades
[9:23 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "How about after the party, we can try to get all the friends who can make it to one big get together?"
[9:23 PM] spikethe3rd: "That sounds fantastic!"
[9:24 PM] Kwakado: The waiter returns, placing a large covered tray in the center of the table.(edited)
[9:25 PM] Kwakado: He lifts a silvery dome, and steam nearly erupts from their dinner. With his other hand, he presents the chicken to Claire, and the fish to Versailles, then pulls the tray away.(edited)
[9:27 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Looks delicious!"
[9:28 PM] Kwakado: "Enjoy your meal. If there is anything else you need, please..." He smiles knowingly, waits for a response, then moves on.
[9:29 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles breathes in the scent of the food. "Hmm... It smells great."
[9:30 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Thank you!" she calls out to the waiter as he leaves
[9:31 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Shall we dig in?" she asks as she pickes up her fork and knife
[9:32 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles nods, "Let's!"
[9:32 PM] [nootamod] benoot: And so they ate
[9:38 PM] [nootamod] benoot: After a while ~~~
[9:38 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I think I'm all out of water..."
[9:39 PM] spikethe3rd: "We could order one." Versailles waves down the waiter again.
[9:40 PM] Kwakado: He returns promptly. "How may I serve you?"
[9:41 PM] spikethe3rd: "What do you have for drinks?"
[9:42 PM] Kwakado: He pulls a pair of small drink menus from his apron, sliding them to the couple with his fingers. "Tonight's features are our Uwabami, Klafipele, Inani, and Ashewine."(edited)
[9:43 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire has no idea what any of those are, and looks to Versailles to make the decision
[9:44 PM] spikethe3rd: "Any recommendations?"
[9:45 PM] Kwakado: "..The Ashewine is strong-flavored, if traditional. Inani can be quite an experience, though. It is made in the Dwabbi style."
[9:46 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles raised an eyebrow at 'Dwabi'. "We'll try the Inani."
[9:47 PM] Kwakado: "Very well." He leaves briskly, his movements a little tighter than before.
...not long after, he returns with their freshly-served drinks.(edited)
[10:05 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire looks at her drink curiously
[10:06 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles holds up his glass. "To friendship in a new place!"
[10:16 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Cheers!"
[10:16 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles clinks his glass against Claire's and takes a long sip.
[10:17 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire takes a sip after the toast
[10:18 PM] [nootamod] benoot: And her face immediately flushes red
[10:19 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "W-whydoesthedrinktasteweird"
[10:19 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She said a slurred mess
[10:20 PM] Kwakado: Indeed, the Inani's flavor can only be described as...profoundly alcoholic. A favorite of freewheeling Dwabi exiles, such as the fallen Nanshatu monks, it is quite possibly the worst possible beverage choice for a lightweight.
[10:21 PM] spikethe3rd: "I think its great." Versailles has barely drank any and is still somewhat sober.
[10:22 PM] spikethe3rd: "Strong flavor and has a real 'kick'"
[10:22 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire is already struggling to keep her head steady
[10:25 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "A reeeaaaaal kick indeed " her voice was loopy that whole sentence.
[10:26 PM] spikethe3rd: "Hmm... maybe too strong." Versailles looks at Claire swaying.
[10:27 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Hmm? Whash up?"
[10:28 PM] spikethe3rd: "Are you okay? Your swaying."
[10:28 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I'm fiiiine"
[10:29 PM] spikethe3rd: "Ok...." Versailles sips more of his drink.
[10:29 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She hiccups
[10:32 PM] spikethe3rd: "So, do you think this place was worth the visit?"
[10:33 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Yyyyyyyyes"
[10:34 PM] spikethe3rd: "I'm glad you enjoyed it." He smiled. "I'm glad I could come with you."
[10:35 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Me tooooo" her voice is very singy-songy
[10:37 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Hey, you know how you asked me hic If I'm okay? I don't think I'm okay anymore..."
[10:38 PM] spikethe3rd: "Oh... should we leave?"
[10:38 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Imightbarf"
[10:39 PM] spikethe3rd: "Oh dear... Lets go then." Versailles stands up and helps Claire out of her chair.
[10:40 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire is able to stand up, but she can't keep her balance
[10:41 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles puts his arm around her to support her weight.
[10:41 PM] spikethe3rd: "Come on. I have you."
[10:42 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "You doooo!" she exclaimed as she found his arm around her.
[10:42 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She nuzzled her face into his arm. "Hehe, so warm..."
[10:42 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles smiled at her and half-dragged her outside.
[10:45 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles gives a surprised look to the passerby, but pays her no mind. He looks back at Claire.
[10:46 PM] spikethe3rd: "Are you feeling any better?"
[10:47 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Yep!" she says as she's tightly hugging his arm
[10:48 PM] spikethe3rd: "Thats good. Shall we head back to your Inn?"
[10:49 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "No! I wanna spend more time with you!"
[10:49 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Her grip tightens
[10:49 PM] spikethe3rd: "Ahh..." Versailles is startled by the sudden grip. "Uh... sure... we can go for a walk."
[10:50 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Yay!"
[10:50 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She jumps up and down while still holding his arm
[10:51 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles struggles to hold up the bouncing girl but manages to stay upright.
[10:52 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Where should we go?"
[10:52 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She's very excited
[10:53 PM] spikethe3rd: "How about a park?"
[10:54 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Yeah! Parks are fun!" she said very happily
[10:54 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Especially-with-you!" she said as she moved her face close to his
[10:55 PM] spikethe3rd: "Haha, you are the fun one to be with."
[10:56 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Nuh-uh! You are!"
[10:57 PM] spikethe3rd: "Thats what a fun person would say! 'May we know not out own generosity, for it may turn to pride.'"
[10:58 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Exactly!" she had no idea what he said
[11:00 PM] spikethe3rd: "I'm glad you understand." He beamed.
[11:02 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "You're the one who always understands!"
[11:03 PM] spikethe3rd: "I wouldn't go that far..."
[11:04 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I would! You're so nice, and you always listen to me when I talk about silly questions you already know about!"
[11:06 PM] spikethe3rd: "Well, I'm just glad to have someone to talk to about it. Not many will indulge my questions outside of the monastery."
[11:10 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "And, that's like, another thing. You're always trying to look at things goodly."
[11:11 PM] spikethe3rd: "Well... I don't see any reason to treat people poorly. I mean, if I did, I wouldn't meet great people like you."
[11:13 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "And that's why I like you!" she said with a wide smile
[11:14 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles blushed a little, a mix of alcohol and embarrassment. "Oh thanks..."
[11:16 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Like, you know.... It's why I Like-like you."
[11:17 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She said, her jolliness replaced by a little timidity
[11:17 PM] spikethe3rd: "What?" Versailles scratches his head taking in what Claire is saying.
[11:19 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I said I like-like you!" she exclaimed, moving herself in front of Versailles instead of at his side.
[11:20 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles stops walking and stares directly at Claire.
[11:21 PM] spikethe3rd: "I-Uh..." Versailles is very red now.
[11:23 PM] spikethe3rd: "I don't know what to say."
[11:24 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Well I know what I want to say, so I'll say it!"
[11:24 PM] [nootamod] benoot: She said, not moving an inch from where she is
[11:26 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "You're super duper nice, and caring. You always give time to talk about stuff with me, you're always concerned for my safety, and whenever I'm with you, I always feel happier. Yknow?"
[11:27 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "And like, I want to stay with you more...."
[11:27 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Her strong front slowly turned timid again
[11:28 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles nods slowly. "I do care for you a lot Claire. I just didn't realize..."
[11:29 PM] spikethe3rd: He embraces her tightly. "I also realize that I feel the same way."
[11:31 PM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire's face brightens up like the sun as she hugs back
[11:34 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Hehehe... I'm so happy right now."
[11:36 PM] spikethe3rd: "Me too..." Claire can feel something dripping on her back.
[11:36 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "E-eh? Versailles." she pulls back for a moment to look at him. "Were you crying?"
[11:37 PM] spikethe3rd: She can see his eyes full of tears.
[11:38 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Ohh." She said as she wiped his eyes.
[11:38 PM] spikethe3rd: "I... just..."
[11:39 PM] spikethe3rd: He brings her back into the hug.
[11:40 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "There there" She pats his back
[11:41 PM] spikethe3rd: He sniffs. "I love you Claire." he murmurs out.
[11:42 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "I love you too Versailles." she says as the world's happiest girl
[11:48 PM] [nootamod] benoot: After a while, Claire pulls back once again to see if he's still having his moment
[11:48 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles eyes are red but he is beaming.
[11:50 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Shall we continue our walk?"
[11:50 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles nods, wiping his face with his sleeves.
[11:51 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Ok then." she goes to his side, holding his hand.
[11:53 PM] spikethe3rd: Versailles squeezes it and holds it close.
[11:55 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "now that I think about it, would your mother be alright with us, Yknow, being together?"
[11:56 PM] spikethe3rd: "Of course, She'd love to hear it."
[11:57 PM] [nootamod] benoot: "Really? Oh that's a relief."
[12:01 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "Well, I guess we can tell her when I meet her. Speaking of which, when shall we meet her?"
[12:02 AM] spikethe3rd: "Well... tomorrow if you want. I can't wait to tell her." He smiles brightly.
[12:04 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "Really? Then we should get back quickly! I don't want to be a mess when I meet her."
[12:04 AM] spikethe3rd: "Good idea but first..." Versailles awkwardly rubs his neck.
[12:05 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "What is it?"
[12:06 AM] spikethe3rd: "Umm... do you..." he trailed off in a whisper.
[12:06 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "Do I..." she leaned in to hear him better
[12:07 AM] spikethe3rd: "Would you kiss me?" Versailles looked at the ground.
[12:10 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles looks up and into Claire's eyes.
[12:10 AM] spikethe3rd: He slowly leans forward.
[12:12 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "Wh- k-k-kiss!?" her face turned red at the word. "I- I wou-wouldn't mind..."
[12:13 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles closes his eyes.
[12:15 AM] spikethe3rd: He quickly grabs Claire and pulls her in for a kiss, cheating through his 'closed' eyes to make sure he is aiming right.
[12:16 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "!!!"(edited)

[12:18 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "!!!"
[12:19 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Her eyes wide open in surprise at the sudden motion, and the result of it. But as their lips stayed together she slowly closed her eyes
[12:21 AM] spikethe3rd: After a moment, Versailles pulls back and starts panting. A smile crosses his face as he stares at Claire.
[12:23 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire slowly opened her eyes again, in her flustered state, she hid her face by putting it against his chest
[12:24 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles puts his hand on her back and strokes her hair.
[12:24 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "That was unfair."
[12:25 AM] spikethe3rd: "What was?" He looks down at her.
[12:26 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "You know.... What you just did."
[12:27 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles pats her head. "Yeah, but I had to."
[12:28 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire slightly nods, but remains in his chest
[12:31 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles kisses Claires head, and holds his head against hers. "I must be the luckiest man in the world."
[12:31 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "And I must be the luckiest girl in the world" she said
[12:32 AM] [nootamod] benoot: As she looked up at him
[12:33 AM] spikethe3rd: He looked down into her eyes. This time closing his eyes, he kissed her more passionately.
[12:34 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "!!!!!!!!!!!!"
[12:36 AM] [nootamod] benoot: This time, she saw it coming, didn't make it any less of a shock for the girl. Soon after their lips met, she closed her eyes as well
[12:39 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles let his body loosen as he felt happier.
[12:41 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire relaxes a bit
[12:44 AM] spikethe3rd: After a long bit, Versailles slowly recoils, his lips again forming a smile.
[12:46 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire's face is redder than before. Once again, she seeks solace in Versailles's chest
[12:50 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "That was kinda fair I guess..."
[12:52 AM] spikethe3rd: "Haha, I hope so. I wouldn't want to steal a kiss from the most wonderful person in the world."
[12:53 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire emits an embarrassed sound as she turns her head back into his chest(edited)
[12:55 AM] spikethe3rd: Versailles hugs her close, again leaning his head on hers.
[12:58 AM] [nootamod] benoot: She wraps her arms around his back as well(edited)
[1:02 AM] [nootamod] benoot: "I like this and all, but can we head back soon? It's getting a bit chilly in this dress..."
[1:03 AM] spikethe3rd: "Oh, yeah..." Versailles lets go and offers his hand.
[1:03 AM] [nootamod] benoot: Claire smiles and holds it
