[9:09 PM] Rom: Scene Location: The Manticore Inn
Ariana was sat down at a table in the darkest corner of the inn. She was dressed in a hooded robe made from bed-sheets, her skin and face were paler than usual and she looked on the verge of death
"T-T-That was... a mistake..how could i be...so foolish" she said in a whisper to herself
"They'll surely... be after me... now"
[9:15 PM] REWlego: Leodin decides to head to Vivianna's room to make sure Ariana hasn't found it. He walks in and sits down in the main lobby for a bit, not noticing Ariana sitting in the corner.
[9:20 PM] Rom: Ariana hasn't noticed Leodin either. Slowly she starts to slip out of consciousness before passing out on the table
[9:23 PM] REWlego: Leodin gets up to go to Vivianna's room when he sees someone in the corner laying their head on the table. He wants to make sure they're okay, so he goes over them.
"Excuse me, are you feeling alright?"
[9:26 PM] Rom: Silence
"Hey you!" called out the barkeep
"You wanna take her to her room? this is the second time she's done this today"
[9:27 PM] REWlego: "I don't know her, but okay. Where's her room?"
[9:27 PM] Rom: "Up the stairs, room at the very end of the hallway"(edited)
[9:28 PM] REWlego: "Alright."
Leodin touches her arm in an attempt to wake her up.(edited)
[9:29 PM] Rom: "Le...ave...him...al..o..ne"
[9:29 PM] REWlego: "What was that?"
Leodin leans in to hear what she's saying.
[9:30 PM] Kwakado: Meanwhile, Sula watches the tavern from high above, judging the flow of the people passing around it. As hesitant as he was to return to this place, Sula had left something very important on the roof - his only clue regarding the identity of the Dragonslayer.(edited)
[9:30 PM] Rom: "Get...back...beasts"
[9:31 PM] REWlego: "Okay... I'm going to help you up to your room."
Leodin puts an arm around her and lifts her up, but doesn't see her face due to the hood.
[9:32 PM] Rom: "Before you go mate, take the key" yelled the barkeep as he tossed it at leodin
[9:33 PM] REWlego: Leodin catches it in one hand and begins to take Ariana up to her room.
[9:34 PM] Rom: "Please...no...stop"
[9:34 PM] REWlego: "Huh? What's wrong?"
[9:34 PM] Kwakado: The Dwabi rider pats Shimi's ebon wings, and they still themselves, moving from swaying flaps to a sharp glide as the pair descend straight down toward the roof. It was still so far beneath them, he couldn't be sure yet whether or not it was still there.
[9:35 PM] Rom: "what...did...we...ever...do...you?" Ariana whispers before passing out again(edited)
[9:36 PM] REWlego: "Uh... okay..."
Leodin continues and carries her up the stairs.
[9:37 PM] Rom: Silence
[9:37 PM] REWlego: He reaches the door and unlocks it, bringing her into the room and setting her down on a bed. That's when he sees her face.
[9:38 PM] Kwakado: It's closer now. Not too many people looking up, either. Sula lazily lets his arms drag the reins to the side, and Shimi spirals outwards, flapping erratically to slow her descent to the roof. He allows it.
[9:38 PM] REWlego: He draws Morderrand and holds it against her neck.
"Wake up! Now!"
[9:38 PM] Rom: Still nothing
[9:39 PM] REWlego: The sword is pushed closer to her neck untill it's touching the skin.
"Heh... If you don't want to wake up.... that's fine by me."
[9:41 PM] Kwakado: Shimi veers past the edge of the roof, in front of their window, as Sula pulls up on the reins. He looks in and sees Leodin assaulting....someone? Genuine shock jolts through his face - has he truly sunk this low?(edited)
[9:42 PM] Rom: She opens her eyes slightly
"Is that you? have you come back to me?" She says, still delirious
[9:43 PM] REWlego: "Sure, if that's how you want to interpret this."(edited)
[9:44 PM] Kwakado: Sula reaches into his robe, and tosses a small good luck charm into the window. It makes a sharp Clink against the glass.
[9:44 PM] REWlego: Leodin turns his head and sees Sula before shaking his head.
[9:45 PM] Kwakado: "Leo-e!" Sula nods grimly, calling into the room. "Have you truly become one of them?!"(edited)
[9:46 PM] REWlego: Leodin sheaths his blade before pulling Ariana's head up to show Sula who he's with.
[9:47 PM] Rom: "ow...that...hurts"
[9:47 PM] Kwakado: Sula's eyes widen. His hand snaps to his Ox Spirit. "..What are you doing with her, Leo-a...."
[9:48 PM] REWlego: "She hurt Vivianna. She needs to be taken to the guards. They're looking for her."
[9:49 PM] Kwakado: Shimi's wings, accelerating their stasis, are causing the window to rattle on its latch with their breeze. "...And what do you think they will do with her?"
[9:50 PM] REWlego: "I don't care. That's their problem."
[9:50 PM] Kwakado: "Ha ha ha ha! Klafi!" Sula reaches into a saddlebag, pulling out a dog-eared Freyzenese tome. It opens to a picture of a female Freyzenese military officer.(edited)
[9:51 PM] REWlego: Leodin pulls Ariana off of the bed and back over to the door.
"You hurt Vivianna as well Sula. You should be getting the same treatment."
[9:52 PM] Kwakado: "You've seen her clothing, uu?" Sula points a finger to the outfit. "You hand a Frey-zen dog back to its owner, just for doing her job?!"
[9:53 PM] Rom: "Who...are...you?" She says grabbing onto leodin(edited)
[9:54 PM] REWlego: "W-what?" he says to Ariana
He looks back to Sula, "Attacking me isn't something a guard would do, Sula."
[9:55 PM] Kwakado: Sula guides Shimi closer to the window, trying to keep her from colliding with the side of the wall. "And I am no guard of Khlin. She's an assassin, you fool! There were five of them!"
[9:56 PM] Rom: "h-h-have you...seen...my...uniform?" she mumbles
[9:56 PM] REWlego: "I don't care. She hurt Vivianna and me, so I have to do something."
[9:58 PM] Kwakado: "Are you pretending you do not know that Ellis-o commands the Mana-kete? Does Kaza-mo have such little trust in you, boy?"
[9:58 PM] Rom: "I have...lost it...somewhere"
[9:59 PM] REWlego: "The guards are looking for her. Vivianna, Kazama and I discussed this."
[9:59 PM] Kwakado: "You are being played, Leo-a!" Sula leans in. "I am not asking you to believe me. I will show you the proof that she is Kin-shi!"
[10:00 PM] Rom: "Ahhh...Look out.. for the blood"
[10:01 PM] REWlego: Leodin pulls Ariana close. "Stay quiet. I don't want to hear anything from you."
"If I'm being played then so be it. I trust Kazama to do what he must."
[10:02 PM] Rom: "Let...go of me" Slowly she is starting to gain her sanity back
[10:02 PM] Rom: "Don't...touch me beast"
[10:03 PM] REWlego: "I said stay quiet!"
[10:04 PM] Kwakado: Sula shakes his head, fuming. "Is he the lord, and you the retainer? Ba-ba, you kingdom thugs!"(edited)
[10:04 PM] Rom: "Don't tell me...what to do"
[10:05 PM] REWlego: "I don't need to take this from you Sula! You know what will happen if you try to stop me!"
[10:06 PM] Rom: "leave...me alone...you children"
[10:06 PM] Kwakado: Sula loosens the reins, and jumps to the wall. He whirls the scroll onto his wrist and tries to unlatch the window. "No man is Shatu until he receives the taste of death. I...do not fear you."(edited)
[10:07 PM] REWlego: "And what are you going to do with her? Just sit around and do nothing? Just like you plan to do with Khlin?"
[10:08 PM] Rom: "I'll make you... all pay... for what...you did...to me"
[10:12 PM] Kwakado: "...I will never let you hand them freely to Ellis-u like a snack." Sula cannot get his fingers through to the latch, and leaps back to the saddle. "Now get out of this inn."
[10:14 PM] REWlego: "For what purpose? So that you can stop me? Heh. I'd like to see you try."
[10:16 PM] Rom: "Let go!"
she has finally gained all her sanity back
"Touch me for a second..longer and i'll kill you"
[10:16 PM] REWlego: He pushes her away.
[10:17 PM] Rom: She falls on her ass, too weak to stand up properly on her own
[10:17 PM] Kwakado: Sula jerks the reins up for a moment, raising Shimi's hover upwards as he moves out of sight of the window. From there, he climbs onto the roof and spots a jet-black knife.(edited)
[10:19 PM] Kwakado: He frantically drags himself a few feet over until it's within reach, sliding the knife into the strap normally reserved for his scroll.
[10:19 PM] Rom: "Get back you vile creature" she says as she points at leodin
[10:20 PM] REWlego: "You've called me that before... saying that doesn't mean anything."
[10:21 PM] Rom: "Vile beast, vile creature, disgusting man-spawn"(edited)
[10:22 PM] REWlego: "Just because I was born to a different species doesn't make me a lesser person."
[10:22 PM] Rom: "Yes it does"
[10:22 PM] REWlego: "If you believe that to be true, then you are the vile creature."
[10:23 PM] Kwakado: Sula crawls to the edge of the roof, sliding back down to Shimi-e. Giving her a congratulatory pat, Sula stops to clear his heart with a droning hum.
[10:23 PM] Rom: "i've seen how pathetic your species is"
[10:24 PM] Rom: "when you've lived as long as me you've seen all the vile acts humanity is capable of"
[10:24 PM] REWlego: Leodin kneels in front of Ariana on the floor.
"And now I've seen how pathetic a manakete can be."
[10:25 PM] Rom: "heh, make fun of me all you want. still doesn't change anything. you're still a vile human and your entire species deserves death"
[10:26 PM] REWlego: "That's not your call to make Ariana. You aren't a god, even if you think you are."
[10:26 PM] Rom: "never said i was"
[10:27 PM] REWlego: "Then you have no right to decide who lives and who dies."
[10:28 PM] Rom: "i helped make you what you are today, it's up to me to fix that mistake"
[10:29 PM] REWlego: "Genocide isn't the answer. It never is."
[10:30 PM] Rom: "wish you people had of......." *she trails off, slowly falling unconscious again"
[10:31 PM] REWlego: Leodin scoffs and picks her up, carrying her to the enterance of the inn.
[10:33 PM] Rom: "OI! where you taking that girl?!" yelled the barkeep
[10:33 PM] REWlego: "I think she needs to go to a hopsital... she keeps passing out."
[10:34 PM] Kwakado: "KIDNAPPER!" shouts a bellowing Dwabi voice. "Stop him!
[10:34 PM] Rom: "What?! what is goin' on 'ere?"(edited)
[10:35 PM] REWlego: "Sir, that man doesn't know what he's talking about. I need to take this woman to a hospital, now."
[10:35 PM] Kwakado: Sula sits atop his pegasus in the entryway. "I saw him! He held that sword to her throat!"
[10:35 PM] Rom: "You 'ave any proof?"
[10:36 PM] REWlego: Leodin looks at Sula, awaiting an answer.
[10:36 PM] Kwakado: Sula nods, praying silently to Ayida. "The girl saw it herself. She can be the judge here."
[10:37 PM] REWlego: "Would you rather wait for her to wake up, or let her get to the hospital?"
[10:37 PM] Kwakado: "Neither, neither, good sir!" Sula twirls a wooden vial in his hands. "I am a Saushatu, Dwabi man of healing. Perhaps you have heard of us, Mister Inkeeper?"(edited)

[10:38 PM] REWlego: "I don't have time for this."
Leodin starts heading towards the exit.
[10:38 PM] Rom: "...But if you are a healer then there is no need for a hospital"
[10:38 PM] Kwakado: "I just worry for what happens if that fugitive criminal from Khlin escapes with her!"(edited)
[10:39 PM] Kwakado: Sula motions for Shimi to step forward, blocking the door.
[10:39 PM] Rom: "Criminal? GUARDS STOP HIM AT ONCE!"(edited)
[10:39 PM] REWlego: "Ha! fugitive? You have no proof!"
[10:39 PM] Rom: "i knew something was fishy about you"
[10:39 PM] REWlego: "Ask the head guard! Ask the princess! I am no criminal, Sula!"
[10:40 PM] Kwakado: "Let me wake up the girl, sir! She will explain everything!"
[10:40 PM] Rom: "Stop talking, the lot of ya"
[10:40 PM] Rom: "Put the girl down, and get on your knees"
[10:41 PM] REWlego: "Sir, how can you believe this man?"
[10:42 PM] Kwakado: Sula slides off the pegasus. "The Dwabi cannot lie when a life is on the line. It is not our way."
[10:42 PM] Rom: "I don't believe him"
[10:43 PM] Rom: "I don't believe you either"
[10:45 PM] Rom: "So you both of you get on your knees or i'll have you both arrested"
[10:46 PM] REWlego: "I can't be arrested for this sir. I know the head guard, and he knows this woman."
[10:46 PM] Rom: "I think ye a liar"
[10:47 PM] Kwakado: Sula shakes his head. "That much is true. He's fooled the guards into letting him do as he pleases in the streets!"
[10:49 PM] REWlego: "Then why don't you call for the guards? You can ask them yourself."(edited)
[10:50 PM] Rom: "Hmm..." The barkeep strokes his beard
"Tell ya what, The girl can stay here. You grab the captain and bring him here, if he says he knows ya then you can take the girl"
[10:56 PM] REWlego: "That sounds reasonable."
He points to Sula.
"Make sure this man doesn't get a hold of her."
[10:57 PM] Rom: "Sure"
[10:57 PM] Rom: "You got 10 minutes"
[10:58 PM] REWlego: "I'm on it."
Leodin sets Ariana down near the bartender and runs off to the plaza.
[10:59 PM] AOMRocks20: Kazama is busy patrolling the plaza diligently. Guards are posted at all avenues people are entering from.
[11:00 PM] REWlego: Leodin reaches the plaza and sees Kazama.
"Kazama! It's... It's Ariana.... I've found her."
He says, breathing heavily.
[11:02 PM] AOMRocks20: "Really? Where?"
[11:02 PM] Kwakado: "That man...dressing like a demon..."
[11:02 PM] REWlego: "She's at Vivianna's inn..."
[11:02 PM] Kwakado: Sula clutches his back. "Humbug! Ba Humbug!"
[11:02 PM] Kwakado: And Shimi breaks out into a sudden gallop, letting out a fell scream.
[11:03 PM] AOMRocks20: "Bring me there." Kazama signals a group of guards to follow him.
[11:04 PM] Kwakado: "M-my Shimi-e! Sir..." Sula looks to the Innkeeper. "Can you promise me you will not let that demon touch her?"
[11:05 PM] Rom: "Why? you a crim too?"
[11:06 PM] Kwakado: Sula holds his head in his hands. "My Pegasus is a priceless treasure of Khlin! I can't let her run off!" He rushes to the side, out of sight of the inn's occupants.
[11:06 PM] AOMRocks20: "...fine, I'll go myself." Kazama and his troop of guards march to the inn Vivianna is staying in.
[11:08 PM] Kwakado: The Dwabi soothsayer lets out a melodic "Shimi-eeeeeee~", and Shimi turns the corner. Wincing in pain, he grips the loose reins and mounts her, galloping down into a side street.
[11:08 PM] REWlego: Leodin starts running towards the inn.
[11:08 PM] Rom: Ariana still unconscious is lying on the bench(edited)
[11:09 PM] AOMRocks20: Kazama enters nonchalantly. He turns to the innkeeper. "We have reports of a wanted criminal in here."
[11:09 PM] REWlego: Oh boy.... why did you need to say that...
[11:10 PM] Rom: "Who is this wanted criminal you speak of? is it the old man wit the funny accent?"
[11:10 PM] AOMRocks20: "No. A woman." He gives a description of Ariana.
[11:11 PM] Rom: "'ere she is" he points at a table near the bench
[11:12 PM] AOMRocks20: "Ah, delightful." Kazama takes out a pair of shackles, cuffing her hands. "...why is she unconscious?"
[11:12 PM] Rom: "Wouldn't have a clue cap'n"
[11:13 PM] Kwakado: The old man with the funny accent soars off southward into the night, stowing both the knife and his vial of flaming oil into a robe pouch. He was not sure whether to thank the wrothful gods for preventing him from taking revenge on a god, or whether to curse his own cowardice for letting the monster live.
[11:14 PM] AOMRocks20: "...Would you have any idea who did this?" He turns to Leodin.
[11:14 PM] REWlego: "No... She was like this when I found her."
[11:15 PM] AOMRocks20: "I see." He gently shakes the woman. "Miss."
[11:16 PM] Rom: Ariana now
"Wh...at...do...you...want" she whispers, eyes still closed
[11:17 PM] AOMRocks20: "...you sound ill. Are you injured?"
[11:18 PM] Rom: "i'll...live...for...now"
[11:19 PM] AOMRocks20: "I'd like to inform you of a couple things, if you'll stay awake."
[11:20 PM] AOMRocks20: "Firstly: you are under arrest for unsolicited assault of another man."
[11:21 PM] AOMRocks20: "Secondly: I have recognized that you are a victim of some other crimes, and I assure you this perpetrator will be brought to justice."
[11:21 PM] AOMRocks20: "Can you walk, Miss?"
[11:22 PM] Rom: "No... i don't... think i... can"
[11:23 PM] AOMRocks20: "Right, then. I shall carry you to a healer and then to a nearby prison." He tosses Ariana over his shoulder.
[11:24 PM] Rom: "Heh... you remind me... of..."
[11:24 PM] AOMRocks20: "...of?" Kazama heads out the door, signaling to the troops to head back to the plaza. He begins to head towards there as well.
[11:25 PM] Rom: "not.. in looks...but in...spirit..."
[11:26 PM] AOMRocks20: "May I ask who? This will not go into a report."
[11:27 PM] Rom: "you remind me... of..." she starts to lose consciousness
[11:28 PM] AOMRocks20: "Stay with me. I have a vulnerary if you need it."
[11:28 PM] Rom: "of... my son..." she finally passes out
[11:29 PM] AOMRocks20: "Ah. I see."
[11:29 PM] AOMRocks20: Kazama, after a while, brings Ariana to a healer located in the plaza. He taps her head with a Restore staff, using it to heal her.
[11:31 PM] REWlego: "Alright. Do you still need me Kazama?"
[11:32 PM] AOMRocks20: "Yes. Could you find Yavae for me, please?"
[11:34 PM] REWlego: "I will keep a lookout for her... Why do you need to find her?"
[11:34 PM] AOMRocks20: "I hear she was involved with Ariana."
[11:35 PM] REWlego: "Oh... I had no idea. Well, I'll get started searching. Goodbye Kazama."
[11:36 PM] AOMRocks20: "Goodbye."
[11:36 PM] REWlego: Leodin nods before heading out.
[11:38 PM] AOMRocks20: Kazama heaps Ariana over his shoulder again, heading out of the plaza, into a nearby prison, and depositing her into a cell. Afterwards, he returns to patrolling, waiting for Yavae.
[11:41 PM] Kwakado: Sula descends slowly into the plaza, seeing Leodin heading out into the city proper. He brings Shimi into a slow trot in Kazama's general direction.
[11:42 PM] Rom: Ariana finally wakes up in her cell
"Huh? how did i get here?"
ahh shit, looks like I've been caught... now how do i get out of this?(edited)
[11:42 PM] AOMRocks20: Kazama turns, noticing him. "Kwemo. What is it?"
[11:44 PM] Kwakado: Sula bows from above. "Le Kwemo Kwemi, O Ayida. And a nice, dark night for riding."
[11:44 PM] AOMRocks20: "This doesn't answer my question."
[11:46 PM] Kwakado: "I have not seen you since the Frey-zen-Dwabi food cart, uu? You wanted more details about our...journey."
[11:46 PM] AOMRocks20: "Yes. How was that?"
[11:48 PM] Kwakado: Sula flexes his toes. "It was just as you warned us, milord." He grins. "There is no mine in the western mountains."
[11:49 PM] AOMRocks20: "Then what did you find?"
[11:50 PM] AOMRocks20: "Nothing more than insect bites, riding sores, and hostile animals, I assume?"
[11:53 PM] Kwakado: Sula shakes his ever-injured foot up at the ninja, somehow worse than last they met. "Of course, of course! And even if there was a mine, we would never be able to find it in only a day's ride. But Drew-i learned a lot, and Vivi-e brought....good food." Sula bit his tongue.
[11:53 PM] AOMRocks20: "Sula, what did Vivianna do?"
[11:55 PM] Kwakado: "Oh, nothing, ha ha ha." Sula shakes his head, his smile slipping quite fast. "Just a...disagreement, about our fates. It is...rather personal." Sula hummed to himself.
[11:57 PM] AOMRocks20: "Fine. What else happened?"
[11:58 PM] Kwakado: "I will say this!" Sula seemed to have instantly changed his mind on pursuing the difficult subject. "Vivi-e and I have nothing to do with each other any more. Her business does not concern me. At all."
[11:59 PM] AOMRocks20: Kazama's eyes narrowed. "Sula, what are you hiding from me?"
[12:02 AM] Kwakado: Sula sighed. "...She told me she had...romantic feelings about me, ha. It did not go well. And we will not be speaking to each other again - about anything." His misty grey eyes look into Kazama's. "Do I need to go on, or is that enough for you?"
[12:04 AM] AOMRocks20: He waved dismissively. "If you are to tell me only of petty heartbreak, then it is enough."
[12:06 AM] Kwakado: Sula shook his head. "No, no. I just wanted to thank you for keeping such a close watch. And for coming to the feast, at the Black Pearl."
[12:06 AM] AOMRocks20: "My pleasure." He responds coldly, scouring the crowd again.
[12:09 AM] Kwakado: His eyes blinked. "...Ellis-u seemed much more Kwemo than your humble words let on, milord."
[12:10 AM] AOMRocks20: "She is."
[12:13 AM] Kwakado: "Truly, I have found nothing but kind words to send to my...elders, to the south. She has quite the refined sense of...taste, ha ha."(edited)

[12:19 AM] Kwakado: Sula cradled his chin in his hand. "Hmm....You haven't lost track of her, have you? I thought she would stand out quite well."

[12:20 AM] AOMRocks20: "Incorrect. She was assaulted, and I am waiting to discuss it with her."
[12:22 AM] Kwakado: Sula's eyebrow raises at the man's candor. "Assaulted? Do you know who was behind it?"
[12:23 AM] AOMRocks20: "Yes. She has been imprisoned."
[12:25 AM] Kwakado: "Ohh....I see. Was it a...golden-hair woman?"(edited)

[12:27 AM] Kwakado: Sula clasps his hands together. "Then I wonder if you might have heard that this...Arian-na....assaulted me, as well."

[12:30 AM] Kwakado: Sula smiled at the ninja a bit too bright. "Well, Sula-o has no proof at all...but it is good to hear that the city is safe again, without creatures like her stalking the plaza."(edited)

[12:34 AM] Kwakado: "Of course, of course." Sula tightens the reins, feeding the restless pegasus a strawberry. She'd been giving Kazama spiteful stares the whole time.
[12:36 AM] Kwakado: "...but do know, milord, that my report to the Dragonslayer will have nothing but good memories!" He tightens his legs, preparing to take off.
[12:37 AM] AOMRocks20: "Stop."
[12:38 AM] Kwakado: Sula nods, relaxing a bit.
[12:38 AM] AOMRocks20: "What Dragonslayer? Did someone murder a manakete?"
[12:39 AM] Kwakado: "No, no, that is his name." Sula scratches at the right side of his robe. "Does he have that sort of reputation in Ama-terasu?"
[12:40 AM] AOMRocks20: "Just tell me what you know about him and be on your way."
[12:43 AM] Kwakado: "Well..." Sula dismounts. "...It is difficult to speak so freely about ones' master. But since you did just that during our bath..." Sula leans back onto Shimi-e.
[12:44 AM] Kwakado: "There have been...rumors, about his name. That he was not a friend of Ayida. But that was all before I learned about...Mana-kete, from you, milord. So I do not know how much of the tales are truth."(edited)
[12:53 AM] Kwakado: Sula clasps his palms together. "He gives all his orders in secret. None of his agents have seen his face. Most think he is hiding in Khlin...but truly, Dragonslayer lives somewhere deep within Galla-ran."(edited)
[12:57 AM] Kwakado: Sula nods. "All I know for certain, is he is planning something there. Something big. And he is...very concerned about the future of Freyzenwald."
