[11:38 AM] jddaepicboss: Noon, 4th of February
Rumbling hooves approach the stables at the side of the Palazzo Scarlatto, as a white warhorse and its rider gallop in from a leisurely ride around the streets of Concordia. Little would passerby have known of the majestic cavalier's pounding headache from a few dozen too many drinks the previous night, however...
"Ho there, Seth...slow...!"
The horse stops having reached its shelter, and Bedivere promptly hops off and begins stretching his sore legs with a yawn. Patting the horse, he takes a few steps forward into the sunshine with a refreshed smile.
[2:26 PM] Amasuro: Her arms outstretched and resting behind the back of her head as she leaned against the brick wall of a shaded building, the white haired Queen of Freyzenwald stood resting as she commenced the casual pastime of people watching.
Though, an approaching rider catches her eye. Turning her head, the male parking his horse almost seems quite familiar.
It was hard to believe Joshua when he had said that the boy came here all the way from Ashelande to visit her. But, well, I suppose there's the proof.
...Now...Let me just make sure that's him...
Luna left her post, darting quietly to the side until she stood a distance behind Bedivere.
[2:38 PM] jddaepicboss: "Aaah...goodness, my legs hurt like hell...but hey, at least you don't seem too hurt after that battle, Seth!"
He spins back around to look at the horse, relatively unblemished, before resuming gazing straight forward for a few moments, pondering what to do next.
[2:50 PM] Amasuro: Luna waits for a moment, before walking up to Bedivere's side, trying to be as light as possible. When she gets close enough, she reaches out and pokes his shoulder.
"Fancy seeing you here."
[2:56 PM] jddaepicboss: "AHH!"
His usual reaction of yelping and jumping about a mile into the air takes place again, and he turns round, breathing heavily for a few moments.
"God...damn it...Luna...every...time, hah...!"
He takes a deep breath in, before placing a hand on his hip, and smiling...before looking at her face, and raising an eyebrow quizzically.
[3:02 PM] Amasuro: Luna starts to laugh, holding a hand to her mouth.
"Ahaha-, geez Bedi it's like you saw a ghost or something! What, did you remember about the money you owed me or something?"
[3:07 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere's eyebrow raises further, threatening to disappear into his hairline.
"...when did I owe you money?! No no no, I'm just looking at. That. Hair. Colour. ...Gods."
He very obviously hides laughter.
[3:09 PM] Amasuro: Her look changes to a startled one, running a hand through the side of her hair before bringing it up in front of her eyes.
"...W-what's the issue with it?"
[3:14 PM] jddaepicboss: "Multicoloured?! Purple streaks?! You look ridiculous!"
He rolls his eyes, and shrugs dramatically, chuckling as he speaks.
"So, is crazy fashion a ritual for Freyzenwaldian royalty? Or did Salv just get bored of white hair?"
...man, I've missed this.
[3:19 PM] Amasuro: "I-I...y-you-!"
Her face puffs up, turning a slight shade of red as Luna stamped her foot once against the floor.
"Now you listen here you...dumb...kid-! You stand here insulting the one and only Queen of Freyzenwald. My power extends beyond the bounds of what your small mind can possibly comprehend."
[3:24 PM] jddaepicboss: Despite usually finding Luna's threats rather intimidating, the obvious fact she's flustered causes him to giggle hysterically.
"Ah yes, your remarkable power, of course. You're right, I should be scared of someone who got beaten by the legendary warrior of Ashelande, Ness!"
[3:28 PM] Amasuro: "W-w-what?! Tch, I let him win that battle you fool. I was the very best in that entire company. Did you think I would lose like that unintentionally?!"
Luna continued to pout, stomping her foot one more time.
"Hey! Are you even listening to me?!"
[3:33 PM] jddaepicboss: "You just keep telling yourself that, Luna~"
He reaches out and pats her head in the most condescending manner possible, before proceeding into a final giggling fit.
"OK, I'll stop, ahah...It's nice to see you haven't changed too much, at least."
He gives an honest smile, trying to move past his teasing.
[3:37 PM] Amasuro: Her head had probably reached a boiling temperature, and if you focused hard enough, you might see steam rising out of it.
Luna simply says nothing as her head gets patted, scowling menacingly at the rider before his hand retracted.
"You're lucky I didn't just snap your wrist there," she seeths, glaring at him before crossing her arms and flipping her head away, "hmph-!"
[3:41 PM] jddaepicboss: "I'm sorrrryyyyyy~! Hey, d'you wanna go inside, or something? I'd rather talk to you in...a place that doesn't smell like horse crap. Whew."
[3:44 PM] Amasuro: "Oh, does it? I barely noticed. I simply thought that was just you, and was being polite."
She still doesn't turn her head back towards Bedivere.
[3:48 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere opens his mouth to retort, before smirking and putting on a sweet tone.
"...y'know, I could buy you something to eat if you're hungry, that hotel has awfully nice meals...or cakes~!"
[3:52 PM] Amasuro: "Well if you're paying I don't see why not..."
[4:01 PM] jddaepicboss: Yep, she hasn't changed a bit.
"Great! I guess this'll make up for...whatever that debt was! Come on then!"
He begins walking ahead, and waits for her to follow.(edited)
[4:06 PM] Amasuro: Actually, there wasn't a debt before. I just made that up.
...Now, on the other hand.
"Hmph, fine. Which hotel do you intend to bring me to?" Luna asks, keeping up beside Bedivere.
[4:08 PM] jddaepicboss: "That Palazzo Scarlatto place most of us are staying at! Supposedly the best hotel in Concordia, and its bar lives up to that at the very least..."
[4:12 PM] Amasuro: "Oh yeah. Well, I suppose when we're already staying at the best hotel in Concordia, there isn't much reason to go anywhere else. Though, I admit I haven't seem much of it yet."
Luna shrugged, before directing a smirk over to Bedivere, "because, as you know, I am staying in the estate of a council member."
[4:17 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere's eyes widen in mock amazement.
"Ooh la la, how fancy. Then again, nothing seems fancy when you spend a month with the Aros family...and I suppose nothing compares to that...Tesamaaru place, hmm?"
[4:21 PM] Amasuro: She doesn't seem to have noticed he was mocking her.
"Well, clearly. My castle is among the greatest across the entire continent, so its only natural that nothing compares to it. A simple deduction, do you agree?"
[4:27 PM] jddaepicboss: "Only among? Goodness, that doesn't sound good enough for the Queen of Freyzenwald. I'm disappointed."
He giggles, turning a corner.
[4:30 PM] Amasuro: "Hey now, a Queen has to be modest and humble, you know. I acknowledge that there are other magnificent castles on our continent, and that my castle ranks among them as one of the best."
She does a spin, ending up slightly in front of Bedivere, where she turns and smiles.
"Now see, doesn't that just sound elegant of me?"
[4:36 PM] jddaepicboss: "Modest and humble. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. All you need is a fancy dress and some curtseying and you'll be the perfect, elegant rul--"
Walking behind her, the cavalier stops suddenly with a jerk, and turns to notice his cape having gotten stuck to a sharp indent along the wall. With a sigh, he steps back to detach it.
[4:42 PM] Amasuro: "Why yes, I do acknowledge that a fancy dress might look very nice on me. Thank you for noticing..."
She walks a pace forwards before she notices Bedivere had suddenly fallen behind.
"Eh, you noticed someth- oh. Now, you should have better awareness for your cape, you know?"
[4:45 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere finally gets it free, and walks past her stubbornly.
"Look, I only got it a few weeks ago, it's hard to remember it's there sometimes, OK? Hmph..."
[4:48 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, what kind of fashion statement are you supposed to be making with that thing anyway?" Luna asks as he passes her, before jogging slightly to return to his side.
[4:56 PM] jddaepicboss: He pouts a little, flicking his cape, causing it to billow slightly in the wind.
"Hey, it makes me look more...intimidating, or heroic, I guess. I'll admit, the "boyish charm" I referred to back in Ashelande...doesn't help a lot in those categories. And besides, I told Sonia I'd get one!"
[4:59 PM] Amasuro: "You told her that? Like, she tried to get you to buy one? And since when was listening to fashion advice from Sonia considered a good idea?"
But she made you your assassin outfit.
...Yeah I guess she did.
Well it did look nice.
[5:03 PM] jddaepicboss: "Oh no, I just...I don't know, I thought hers looked cool and said I might get one one day! It was on a whim, I didn't think it through all that much..."
He looks behind himself, the smile he's had all along finally wavering a tad.
"...it doesn't look that bad, does it?"
[5:05 PM] Amasuro: Weakness spotted.
"Ooh, gee, mmm I don't know, Bedi boy. Kinda makes you look like a dork, y'know?" Luna responds, a smile along her face.
[5:11 PM] jddaepicboss: ...Bedi boy. For the love of the gods.
Bedivere's eye twitches, before he responds nervously.
"...............it does, doesn't it? ...ack, but I really like it...!"
He groans uncertainly, looking again at the cape.
[5:14 PM] Amasuro: "Well! You know, if you like it, I'm sure you can wear whateeeeeever you like. Its just...I don't know about the image it gives off to your enemies, y'know? It's like, wow, look at that dweeb on the horse there with the cape. So refined."
She stiffles a laugh, turning her head away from Bedivere.
[5:18 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere scowls briefly, before letting out an "aha" of realisation.
"I know what this is about, you're just getting back at me because I insulted your hair! For the record, I don't think it's really all that bad. Just...odd to see."
[5:25 PM] Amasuro: "Why, me getting back at you? What an utterly petty thing to do! I'll have you know that royalty such as myself do not partake in such frivolous activities."
Luna tilts her head up slightly, putting a hand on her chest.
[5:28 PM] jddaepicboss: "...just take the damn compliment, jeez."
Bedivere rolls his eyes yet again, though goes back to smiling despite his apparent exasperation. With the front entrance to the hotel within sight, he speeds up his walking, eager to head inside.
[6:29 PM] Amasuro: "I'll accept no two folded compliment from the likes of y- hey-! Don't you run from me now!"
Luna speeds up in turn, keeping pace as they approach the front entrance. Though, upon getting closer, she slows down.
[6:35 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere giggles.
"I thought you were the fast one, do try and keep up Luna!"
He dashes the last few steps to the door, and opens it for her, smiling.
"Ladies first, and all that. I suppose I do have to mind my manners around you now, don't I? Ahaha!"
[6:49 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, nonsense. It was to simply allow you to be a gentleman, as you are doing right now."
Luna did a small bow to the boy, before entering the Palazzo Scarlatto.
She didn't really know what to expect from the highest rated hotel in all of Concordia. After passing through the doors opened for her, Luna was greeted by a lavish decor sprawling out towards a wide open foyer. A breathtaking sight she had seen once before when her guard were first admiteded into the building.
Though, she never really did go past it, and on further inspection, Luna noticed numerous different hallways branching out in various directions, among a few larger staircases. While the design was certainly impressive, Luna quickly became confused by the unmarked layout.
"So, uhh, I know there's supposed to be a restaraunt somewhere in here, but..."
[6:53 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere follows her in, closing the door behind him in a rather carefree manner.
"It's a terribly designed place as far as finding your way around goes, yeah. I think I remember where the dining hall was..."
He takes a few steps towards a staircase, before stopping to think on it for a bit longer.
[6:54 PM] Amasuro: "You, uhh, don't seem very certain."
Luna stops behind him, looking around at the walls and decor for some kind of hint.
[7:04 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere gasps, recalling seeing the restaurant in question suddenly.
"Oh! Right, I'm fairly certain I remember now! Follow me, Luna!"
He beckons her with a hand, and starts striding up the staircase, two steps at a time.
[7:07 PM] Amasuro: "Hey, hey now. Don't make me run after you. There might be people watching..."
Luna lightly hops up the stairs, one at a time, as she keeps a relative pace behind Bedivere.
[7:13 PM] jddaepicboss: "Fiiiine. I'm just starving myself, honestly...I haven't eaten anything apart from some slices of gods awful toast a few hours ago. Eugh."
Upon reaching the top of the staircase, he waits patiently for her to catch up.
[7:17 PM] Amasuro: And she catches up to him before long.
"Thanks for being understanding. Image is everything, y'know? And this place isn't just your run-of-the-mill hotel. I'll walk a little faster for you, though," she smirked, waiting for him to continue.
[7:22 PM] jddaepicboss: "Mm, I guess we can't have it look like the caped dweeb is ordering around the Queen, now can we?"
He sets off down a hallway to their left at a much more leisurely pace.
[7:23 PM] Amasuro: "Oh hush now. You had that coming to you."
Luna keeps up with his pace, still continuing to observe her surroundings.
"Uhh, none of these hallways seem marked. And they're all...they're not even symmetrical or anything. This hallway we're walking in doesn't even go straight!"
[7:30 PM] jddaepicboss: "Another astute observation from the Queen of Freyzenwald! From what I've heard, it's to help prepare servants in training for big, confusing manor layouts and what have you. But honestly, I think they overdid it. This is plain ridiculous..."
[7:32 PM] Amasuro: "Geez they shoulda' just let 'em train in a different wing or something. Bleagh, isn't a hotel, like, the worst place for a tourist to get lost in? At least let them get lost in the city instead..."
[7:41 PM] jddaepicboss: "...wouldn't a city have muggers and such? I feel like getting lost in a well protected building is way better than getting lost in some dark, dank alleyway."
[8:25 PM] Amasuro: "Come now, Bedi. Just because you can get lost in a dark, dank alleyway doesn't mean normal tourists can't avoid obviously sketchy places."
Luna shrugged, "hotels should be where you relax, not where you have to think again, y'know?"
[8:36 PM] jddaepicboss: "Yeah, I'll give you that one, in fairness."
He turns down a small incline to the left, and vague ambient noise of some sort echoes from down the hallway.
[8:38 PM] Amasuro: "Well hey, seems we found something. Hope its actually the restaraunt, and not the pool or something."
Though, in hindsight we probably could have just asked someone for help.
...Nah. That'd be totally weak.
[8:42 PM] jddaepicboss: "Mm...hopefully."
Bedivere keeps walking, and turns to Luna curiously.
"Say...come to think of it, you didn't seem awfully surprised to see me. Did somebody tell you I was here, or...?"
[8:48 PM] Amasuro: "That some hyped up kid from Ashelande came here looking for me on a horse? Yeah. Joshua told me. There aren't many people that fit that description, you know?"
[8:51 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere seems ever so slightly peeved by her phrasing, scoffing a little.
"I think I'm kind of past being called a kid by now, you know...but the rest of your description fits quite well, I suppose."
[8:53 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, are you now? Well, fine, I suppose the performance I saw of you back in Ashelande was rather impressive."
She gives him a slap along the back, "but-! Since you're always younger than me, you're gonna be a kid to me. Unless, of course, you can prove me wrong. Now wouldn't that be a sight to see?"
[8:55 PM] jddaepicboss: The eyebrow darts up again, intrigued by her proposition, though not expecting anything particularly...plausible.
"And how would one go about proving they're, ahem, 'not a kid?'"(edited)
[8:59 PM] Amasuro: "Nothing special. I hear you served my army well in my abscence. I'd...simply like to see that for myself."
Another smirk in his direction, "now, now, aren't you excited for your new superior?"
[9:03 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere smirks proudly, placing an idle hand on his hip.
"Well, of course I did! If I wasn't a good fighter after everything two years ago, I'd be hopeless. So don't worry, you'll see me pulling my weight. All jokes aside, I will do my utmost to keep you and yours safe--I am a member of the--"
He makes speech marks in the air, and puts on a posher tone of voice.
"--Royal Guard of Freyzenwald, after all!"
[9:06 PM] Amasuro: Luna stopped in her tracks, holding a hand up to her face before breaking out in a loud fit of laughter. She walks over to a nearby wall, leaning on it with one hand while continuing to laugh.
"Oh. Oh my goodness. You ARE a dweeb! Ahah, ahahaha-!"
She shook her head, quickly composing herself with a smile.
"Ahaha...ahem. Well, at least you didn't do that in the restaraunt."
[9:11 PM] jddaepicboss: The Mategausian's expression goes from genuine confusion to slight annoyance at her laughter.
"Look, I'm being serious, alright? If I didn't care sincerely about all of this, I wouldn't have rode from Gallaran to catch you all. I'm just...ugh, never mind..."
He sighs, and continues walking down the hallway, the distant noise getting louder as the steps go by.
[9:13 PM] Amasuro: "Aww, lighten up Bedi, it was funny. Come on, you gotta acknowledge that statement was totally-...hey, hey wait up! Come ooon, don't be like that."
Luna does a light jog up behind him.
[10:27 AM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere's head droops downward, before raising again to look back at her with a mildly improved expression.
"I'm sorry, OK, I just...maybe I do sound like a dweeb or whatever, but I just want to show I'm being sincere. The past few days have...put some things in perspective for me, y'know?"(edited)
[2:48 PM] Amasuro: "Mmm, yeah, perspective, sure. Ya don't gotta show me that you're sincere, y'know. If you are, I can just tell."
Luna puts a hand on his shoulder, shaking it while grinning at him.
"Now besides, there is noooothing wrong with sounding like a dweeb. I'm sure there are girls that like that sort of thing."
[3:01 PM] jddaepicboss: The cavalier snorts, amused that her first comfort is in the romantic department.
"Puh-lease, you do know I'm a rising star of an actor back home, don't you? The talk of Mategaus, apparently! I don't need dweebish appeal if I want a girl, not that I particularly do."
...that might be a slight exaggeration, but I shouldn't worry about that considering who I'm talking to...
[3:07 PM] Amasuro: "Right, right, you were an actor now or something like that. Tell me all about it after you feed me, alright?"
Luna removed her hand from Bedivere, looking forward.
"I hear...something anyway. Seems like there's a crowd whatever it is."
[3:12 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere nods, and dashes forward a few steps, squinting to read something in the distance.
"Aha! Yep, that's the restaurant! See, why did you ever doubt me?"
He stops himself, and raises a finger at her hurriedly.
"...don't answer that."
[3:26 PM] Amasuro: Luna shrugs.
"I said nothing. Your faith in me is disturbingly low."
[3:31 PM] jddaepicboss: "...right. Sorry."
Feeling slightly awkward now, Bedivere stays silent for the final few steps between the pair and the restaurant.
[3:41 PM] Amasuro: "Geez you concede quickly. Oh well."
Luna looks towards the restaraunt door. The design of it exhibiting a rather refined decor matching the hallway the pair stood on. Outside, a menu was displayed.
"Well, can't tell if this is a bistro or a fine dining establishment, to be honest."
[3:54 PM] jddaepicboss: "I mean, look around us, it's most certainly the latter. Wonder what's on the menu..."
Bedivere takes a step closer to said menu, inspecting it closely.
"I presume we should just get a main and a dessert? Wouldn't want to risk getting full before the best part, after all!"

[4:01 PM] Amasuro: "What's the food like?"
Luna peers over Bedivere's shoulder to look at the menu he has begun inspecting.
"Huh, seems like a cross to me, honestly. Hey the prices aren't...that...uhh...eeeagch. You were paying right? Right? Great!"
Like, as if I don't have an entire countries treasury at my disposal. Oh well, he offered.
[4:07 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere sighs dejectedly, rubbing his neck in discomfort.
"Well, I'm sure as hell only getting a main and a dessert. Probably just the "trio of meats with assorted vegetables" thing for main...aaaaand...ooh! Black Forest Gateau for dessert! For old time's sake, ahaha. ...how about you?"
[4:16 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, double up the BFG and I'll have one too. I'll just pick my entree when we get inside."
Ooh, all the things I could saaaaaample...eh, I should be mindful of Bedi boy's wallet.
...Or I shouldn't.
...Nah he'll just try some dumb shit to get back at me if I did that.
[4:21 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere sighs contentedly, happy she isn't being too harsh on him as far as expenses go.
"Alrighty, let's head in then!"
He opens the door for her once again.
[5:09 PM] Amasuro: A change from the crammed confines of the mansions corridors, the door opens to a rather spacious area with a long window lining the entire wall. Outside, the view stretches out to see a massive, green field.
While it seems like the restaurant is usually a finer dining establishment, it appeared that in the middle of the day, a more traditional restaurant style was utilized. Instead of white tablecloths, regular wooden tables lined the floor of the spacious restaurant.
"Well, I certainly like the atmosphere here." Luna remarked, gesturing to a waiter that she wanted a table for two.
[5:17 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere simply stares for a few moments, enthralled by the view, before nodding lazily.
"Wow, me too...I was afraid it would be horribly stuffy, but in actuality, it's really open and nice!"
He stays fairly still, waiting for Luna to make some sort of action out of unsureness as to what to do next.
[5:19 PM] Amasuro: Luna follows the waiter over towards a table for two by the window, as he places two menus on top.
"Stuffy? Hey comeon, the top restaraunts are top for a reason." She says, taking her seat.
[5:27 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere follows quickly, and sits down, careful to drape his cape over the back so as to avoid choking himself in front of royalty--a situation bizarre enough to ideally not happen once, never mind twice.
"True...but eh, I've never been the greatest in very uptight places. There's a reason I spent a lot of the time before the wedding in pubs or a sparring hall, y'know?"
He grabs a menu, and quickly mutters his choices of meals to the waiter, pointing to them as he goes.
[8:26 PM] Amasuro: Gee, someone picked fast. I mean I guess he already looked at it from the entrance but still.
Luna takes a moment, staring at her own menu quickly while Bedivere lists off his own choices. The quickness of his motions surprising Luna when it gets to her turn, but she doesn't show it.
She quickly selects a safe option, a hot beef sandwich with gravy on the side, along with the Black Forest Gateau, before handing her menu to the departing waiter.
[4:10 AM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere sits further into the back of his chair, taking a rather lax posture, and throws a glance at the waiter before turning to Luna curiously.
"Sooo, what'd you choose in the end then?"
[4:04 PM] Amasuro: "Beef dip. I enjoy eating it where available. What did you pick? I couldn't quite hear you over there mumblin'."
[4:18 PM] jddaepicboss: "That trio of meats thing I mentioned earlier! It's...ham, beef, and turkey. A bit of a plain choice, admittedly, but a lot of the other options were a little too far on the exotic side for me to fancy them."
[4:20 PM] Amasuro: "Hey now, you could get real fancy with that sort of thing. Like, can you imagine chunked ham cubes sliced fresh from a whole slab of meat? Or, or, fresh sliced T-Bone steak cut and cubed medium rare."
"...I can have some, right?"
[4:24 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere chuckles openly at her proposition, still finding amusement out of her old habits, before shrugging to himself.
"...eh, sure. I probably wouldn't be able to finish it all anyhow. Just...not the whole thing, obviously."
[4:25 PM] Amasuro: "Suh-weeeet~. Don't worry, you can have some of my food if you want. I, uhh, can't guarentee it'll all be there by the time you get to it..."
"...Well you can share my gravy though."(edited)
[4:29 PM] jddaepicboss: He rolls his eyes again.
"...sure. Anyhoo...oh, you mentioned you wanted to hear what I've been up to since we last met, right? The acting, and all?"
[4:30 PM] Amasuro: "Ooooh, yes, yes, yessssss. Ain't that something outta left field."
Luna leans forward, resting her head in her hands, as her elbows plant themselves firmly on top of the table.
"Whatcha do? War plays? Did they make a musical on the fall of the demon king? ...Can you sing?"(edited)
[4:37 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere nods at all her suggestions until the last one, when he stops nodding, and trips over his words a bit.
"Well...y'see, I played the Demon King, who wasn't in many songs anyway...and the ones he was in, I was just putting on a really deep, weird voice. Fit the character, but it was more performed with emotion than actually sounding nice. So, yes, I can sing, buuut...not necessarily very well."
Before allowing her to respond, he stares her down and raises a finger.
"Don't. Ask."(edited)
[7:03 PM] Amasuro: Luna raises her hands.
"Whoa, whoa! I didn't say anything yet, geez. Come now, I am sure you are a very talented singer, Bedivereeee. All those...hehe...deep voice songs as the Demon King..."
She stiffled a laugh, "I was kidding about the damn musical, are you telling me that's actually what you do?"
[7:07 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere lets out a bizarrely dog like whine of frustration.
"Look, it's more of a play than a musical...and besides, it's not my only role. I do other plays! It was either that or stick with mercenary work, and I've had enough of that for a lifetime, beyond this. I haven't got much else going for me, have I?"
[7:10 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, well then. My apologies for involving you in some more...mercenary-type work. Though hey, at least you got a pretty cool title with this one. Royal guard, heeeeey? Maybe when everythings done and over, you can put a show up in a theatre here or something."
The Blades was a pretty cool title too, though.
[7:16 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere shakes his head firmly.
"Don't apologise. It's...a favour, I suppose. You didn't force me to help, did you?"
He pauses briefly.
"Anyway......where was I?"
[7:17 PM] Amasuro: "Something something musical. Eheh...heh..."
Luna coughed into her fist, "erm, yeah, you were talking about your roles other than the Demon King."(edited)
[12:39 AM] jddaepicboss: "Mm, right. Weeeell, I've become kind of known for being a great villain since that role, in a ton of plays around the country, which is somewhat ironic...and well, I suppose you of all people know I'm very well versed in playing a jerk now and then!"
He laughs again, signifying the jab at himself wasn't entirely serious.
[2:03 AM] Amasuro: "Mmm...yes. Quite. I do have quite a lot of experience with that, yes."
Her eyes narrow as she takes a sip of water.
[3:11 AM] jddaepicboss: ...OK, maybe that's still a sensitive topic. Ugh, I need to think before I speak.
Squirming slightly, he mirrors her actions with his own drink, looking evidently awkward.
"Sooooo...your s--...supposed 'best friend' introduced me to Solrin and Pasach while we were in Intetsu! I'll admit, those two are pretty adorable."
[3:17 PM] Amasuro: "Hmm...my supposed 'best friend', you say?"
Luna places her glass down, before she starts grinning again.
"I have a few people who claim to be that. Who was it? And...while we're at it...how were they? Aren't my children the absolute cutest things you've ever seen?"
[3:40 PM] jddaepicboss: Huh, she's just as arrogant about her kids. ...I don't know why I'm surprised.
Smirking at his internal comment, he nods a little more fervently than he would if anyone else had asked the same question.
"Oh, absolutely! Especially Solrin, I think he kinda likes me...either that or I just look silly to him. Which is very possible. It was a kitsune woman, named Auriel, I think. She's...odd. Not malicious in the slightest, but odd."
[3:53 PM] Amasuro: "Oh yes, perhaps he likes you, I don't know. He seems a lot more outgoing than his brother, but naturally, since they both came from me, they are both superior to other children. Heh, wait until you see how incredible they will be when they grow up."
Luna's grin almost seems like its directed straight at herself.
"...Oh, yes, and Auriel. She's weird. Very weird. I got used to her, though."
[4:01 PM] jddaepicboss: "Mm...this group is certainly filled with some...interesting people. I've already met a masked man who could pass for a supervillain and...Auriel, and I've only even talked to a handful of them...but eh. I don't think I have any right to judge comrades by their cover, so to speak. I...haven't exactly made the best of first impressions with some people myself, ahah..."
[4:07 PM] Amasuro: "...And what makes you say that? Oh, don't tell me you embarrassed yourself yet again, Bedi. You're quite good at that."
[4:16 PM] jddaepicboss: "Please, give me some credit, I'm excellent at that."
He puts on a jokingly superior smile, before reclining further into his seat.
"I wouldn't say I've embarrassed myself, just...had awkward first meetings with people. For example, I'm fairly certain Tori thinks I'm stalking you or something, and I managed to laugh at Claire hurting herself within five minutes of knowing her name, so...yeah. Not exactly proving smooth with the ladies, hehe...!"
[4:25 PM] Amasuro: "Tsk tsk, Bedi. As an actor, you shouldn't be struggling with the women. They love that kind of stuff...probably."
"Besides, when a guy sails to another continent to meet another person, reasonable assumptions could be made. Perhaps along the...stalking side of things. Of course, I'm not surprised someone would go to such lengths to see me, after all."
[4:48 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere seems mildly irked by her implications, responding quickly.
"Hey, I didn't sail here just for you! I wanted to see Salv too, and more importantly, I was planning to travel around Amia as a whole. I'll have you know you're not the only interesting thing on the continent!"
[4:59 PM] Amasuro: "Ahaha, relax, relax, I'm just kiiiiiiidding. As radiant as I am, I suppose it would take more than simply my presence to get someone to travel all the way to another continent."
She paused for a moment, "...well, actually, that is kind of what Salveon did. Oh well."
[5:04 PM] jddaepicboss: "Weeeelll, he did also have the prospect of riches and power...hmm~"
Bedivere raises an eyebrow with the most remarkably irritating smirk he can muster, resisting an urge to laugh.
[5:08 PM] Amasuro: "Hmph. I can see your attempts at riling me up. Not bad, but I can understand your jealously."
Luna replied with her own smirk.
[5:15 PM] jddaepicboss: "Goodness, you just recognised an attempt to annoy you?! You've matured so much Luna! I'm...sniff so proud of you..."
He enters a sarcastically weepy tone of voice for the last few words, and wipes a few fake tears from his eyes with a napkin.(edited)
[6:50 PM] Amasuro: "Mmm, yes, right. I see your clear attempt at mockery on me, but mind you that I'm not the person fake crying in the middle of a restaraunt."
[7:01 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere pauses, and looks around, noticing several people at adjacent tables staring at him like he's a lunatic, before responding in slightly hushed tones.
"...yeah, that...see, this is why I said don't like stuffy places! I've got about as much skill with proper etiquette as a rooster...!"
[7:02 PM] Amasuro: Luna places a hand over her mouth, hiding an evil grin while giggling quietly to herself.
"I must say, you are indeed excellent at that."
[7:22 PM] jddaepicboss: "Oh ho ho, I'm not even going to acknowledge jabs at behaviour coming from you, 'Lunarea, Queen of Petty Insults.'"
He smirks amusedly, peering at Luna over the rim of his glass while taking a drink.
"Though I suppose your insults aren't too nasty...but I still wouldn't exactly say they're befitting of a ruler... A queen's words should be more...honeyed, don'tcha think?"
[8:30 PM] Amasuro: "Yeah, yeah. Look, I'm still kinda getting used to it, alright?"
Luna punched a fist into her hand enthusiastically, "besides, maybe my people'll appreciate a Queen that's a little different from the norm. Shake things up a little, y'know? Like, two years ago I was still taking contracts and now I'm leading a nation. Now how often do Queen's like that come around, hey?"
[8:35 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere nods, smirk fading to a more gentle and serious smile.
"Oh, absolutely. In all seriousness. I do like how informal you are for a queen, it's so refreshing. I'm sure it'll cause the gossip mongers to have doubts about you...but over time, I think Freyzenwald will trust you more than they ever would have trusted any of the other candidates. ...but then again, I don't know the slightest thing about politics, so...don't take my word for it, ahah!"
[8:37 PM] Amasuro: "Hah! And does it look like I do either?" Luna responded with a laugh.
[8:46 PM] jddaepicboss: "Hey, you've managed to avoid any civil wars so far, haven't you? That's an accomplished in my book."
He giggles cheerily, signifying a lack of seriousness.
[8:48 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, ain't that a rather low bar to set."
As she speaks, the waiter returns with both dishes and places them onto the table. Luna thanks the man before continuing her sentence.
"You'll see. I'm going to go down in history as the very best Queen Freyzenwald has ever seen. It is only natural, for someone like me."
[8:56 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere eagerly grabs the cloche off his plate, setting it to the side, and picks up his knife and fork rather inelegantly.
"Y'know, you very well could be. Stranger things have happened~!"
With that, he begins cutting up his meats into smaller pieces, not actually eating anything at first.
[8:58 PM] Amasuro: Luna grabs her sandwich in both hands and begins to chow down enthusiastically, dipping it into the bowl of gravy on her plate every so often. There isn't much noise anymore from her side of the table.
[9:03 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere notices her rather apparent silence, along with the rapidly disappearing sandwich, and begins rushing to eat quite a bit faster than he usually would, stabbing at pieces of meat with his fork, acutely aware that his time before being asked to share is limited.
[9:05 PM] Amasuro: But the next time he lifted his head, her sandwich had completely disappeared. It was almost like a magic trick.
"...Mmm. Good." Luna paused, wiping her mouth with a napkin, "you think the desert is soon?"
[9:08 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere, only about a third of the way through his meal, only stares at Luna and her empty plate in...amazement? Disgust? Both? ...Both.
"gulp Pr, probbly' nauh--gulp not for a while, I'd say."
He continues eating hurriedly, though still at a pace laughable compared to Luna.
[9:14 PM] Amasuro: "Eeeeeh, I suppose you're right. ...Are you okay? You seem very, uhh, worried about something."
Luna just sits quietly opposite Bedivere, watching him eat intently.
[9:17 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere pauses briefly to regulate his breathing, having somewhat overdone it...aaaaand the plate is still about half full. Great.
"Hmm? Nope, I'm just eating my dinner! What do I have to be worried about?"
Aware of her roused suspicions, he returns to eating at a marginally slower pace.
[9:19 PM] Amasuro: "Just an observation. There isn't much else for me to look at, y'know."
Luna backs away as the waiter takes her plate from the table, and refills both glasses of water on the table.
"How's the food on your end?" She asks once the waiter walks away.
[9:23 PM] jddaepicboss: "Oh, y'know, it's--"
...wait a second. I can use this.
"--eeeeeh, it's not that great, in all honesty. I don't like it much, and I feel it wouldn't really be to your liking at all."
He halfheartedly pokes at his meal with the fork before continuing, trying to make his lie more believable.
[3:48 PM] Amasuro: "Eeeeeh, really? I'm kinda surprised. My food was pretty good. I...uhh...think? It disappeared really fast."
She looks down at the empty spot in front of her.
"So can I try some?"
[3:58 PM] jddaepicboss: Having managed to eat about two thirds of the dish by now, Bedivere is content with this offer, and nods, pushing the plate holding a fair few remaining chunks of ham and turkey between the two of them.
"Help yourself, I'm getting close to full anyway, sooooo I wanna have some room for dessert, y'know?"
[4:20 PM] Amasuro: She gives him a smile, before poking one remaining chunk of ham off his plate, and slipping it into her mouth.
"...Mmm. Mmm." She chews, thoughtfully, before her eyes light up slightly.
"Its...good. You...gonna finish that?"
[4:29 PM] jddaepicboss: Coming to the decision that doing her a favour is probably a better option than not after how stressful the past few days must have been, Bedivere pauses, and shakes his head with a mild smirk.
"...Ack, I don't think so, actually. I'm not quite as hungry as I thought I was. And you certainly seem to be enjoying it more than I did, so, yeah."
[4:37 PM] Amasuro: She was already in the process of pulling the plate closer to her anyway. And resumes eating.
[4:59 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere scoffs in what sounds like annoyance, but is really amusement. After a moment, he begins llooking around the room casually.
"...say, out of curiosity, where is Salv? I haven't heard or seen much about him since I've been here..."
[5:02 PM] Amasuro: She pauses for a moment, between bites, swallowing before she spoke.
"...Mmm...haven't seen him for a while. Probably ran off on his own to do something. He'll be back. That's so like him, isn't it?"
And returns to her food.
[5:08 PM] jddaepicboss: "...not the most responsible parenting, but eh, he must have some good reason for it. Though, honestly, I never knew him hugely well. I met him once at...well, that time you'll probably kill me if I mention, ehehe, and that was...mostly it as far as actual chats go. But he seems nice enough."
[5:09 PM] Amasuro: The remainder of Bedivere's meal seems to have been polished off neatly.
"Nice? Well yes, of course. He's the best, obviously. Only such men deserve me." She speaks, wiping her mouth again.
[5:13 PM] jddaepicboss: Unable to think of a witty retort, Bedivere merely looks at her with an ever so slightly raised eyebrow, and looks to his plate.
"Right...anyway, I take it you liked that then?"
[5:16 PM] Amasuro: "Thoroughly satisfying," Luna replied, before looking up at Bedivere, clapping her hands together, "so, you said you weren't hungry anymore right? You too full for your desert?"
[5:21 PM] jddaepicboss: "Hahaha...nope! I said I wasn't as hungry as I thought I was, not that I'm full! Come now Luna, that's fairly basic listening comprehension."
[5:29 PM] Amasuro: "Hey now, you're the one that couldn't finish one entree. Don't blame me for a few assumptions," Luna spoke, as her plate was removed from the table.
[5:43 PM] jddaepicboss: "Fair enough, I suppose. Soo..."
He pauses, thinking of a new conversation topic.
"Um....ah, out of curiosity, have you heard anything else about me beyond what you've mentioned from Joshua or anyone else? I...just like to know if there's any gossip going round, that's all."
[8:29 PM] Amasuro: "Are we just returning to this embarassing stuff again? Maaaaan, you're real self conscious about this, y'know?"
Luna rests back in her chair, staring off to a corner while stroking her cheek with a finger.
Well maybe it could be funny to make something up, but it'll just come back to me.
"Nah, I don't think so. I haven't talked much with the others though, so if its something small I'm sure it'll come up with time. You...aren't hiding something juicy, are you?"
[8:33 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere can't help but let out the quietest of immature giggles at her phrasing, before shaking his head.
"Not...particularly? I suppose there might have been one or two things, but...I can't think what they are. So...I don't think so."
[8:36 PM] Amasuro: Her eyes narrowed, "you seem to have a rather small smile upon my last statements. Is there something you're not telling me here, Bedi...?"
[8:42 PM] jddaepicboss: ...gods damn it, Bed.
"Um...again, beyond forgetting something, I don't believe so."
He pauses, and resumes speaking in a marginally faster and more casual tone.
"I suppose...I had a bit of a moment in our last battle, but that's...not really worth gossiping about, so...nope, nothing I can think of!"(edited)
[8:49 PM] Amasuro: "Your last battle? Oooooh, now that sounds like..."
Oh wait, his last battle was...that...
Luna suddenly cuts herself off, before shaking her head.
"Man, wonder when that desert is coming huh? I can't wait to see it!"
[11:24 AM] jddaepicboss: Her extremely sudden and obvious cutoff doesn't go unnoticed by Bedivere. He tilts his head to the side, concerned.
"...Sorry. I didn't particularly want to bring it up, for both our sakes, but...I just figured I should give you...some context. Rather than hearing people say I'm a lunatic without any acknowledgement from me. I don't know if anyone will say that, but...oh, I don't know."
He ruffles his hair in frustration at his awkwardness, and speaks a syllable that sounds quite similar to the beginning of another "sorry" before cutting himself off and looking down at the table.
[7:03 PM] Amasuro: "Eh? Well, its fine, I suppose. I guess burying my head in the sand about that battle won't do much good. Its just...its just a bit too soon to talk about it, y'know?"
Luna looks off to the side, "though, if its something you need to tell me, go ahead."
[7:28 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere slowly looks back up and nods in understanding, regaining his composure.
"Well... Look, to put it simply, I had a bit of an...outburst at your sister. Not...directly, but she heard regardless...anyway, that's not the point. I said some things that...well, you'd probably just...laugh...and call me more of a dweeb or stalker than ever if you heard them..."
A hint of slight anger seeps into his tone at the end of that sentence, and disappears as fast as it came.
"So...look, what I'm saying is, I lost my temper. Quite violently, in the middle of a bunch of allies. So I doubt I'm seen as a particularly nice person right now. That's all."
[9:29 PM] Amasuro: Her face still turned to the side, Luna remains emotionless as she spoke her next words.
"Is that all you were embarrassed about?"
[12:41 AM] jddaepicboss: The cavalier's expression remains fairly blank beyond a slightly furrowed brow, surprised by her almost uncharacteristic lack of visible reaction to his statement.
"Well...yes...?"
[2:50 PM] Amasuro: Her eyes closed for a brief moment, before her head turned straight back to Bedivere. Though, instead of the emotionless face he thought he would see, a grin had surfaced instead.
"Well then, there is no need to worry, now is there? A reaction like that is to be expected, wouldn't you say? I doubt any of us would frown upon you for it, y'know?"
[3:44 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere can't help but smile back upon seeing that his statements bringing up the topic of the battle with her sister hadn't upset Luna.
"Yeah...yeah, you're probably right! Maybe I am worrying a tad too much..."
[6:37 PM] Amasuro: "Of course you're worrying too much. Geez, Bedi you don't change after all this time, do you?"
She sighed, "well its almost comforting."
[7:07 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere smiles cheerily, and nonchalantly places an elbow on the table so as to rest his head on a palm.
"Oh, come off it, you know that a Bedivere Leifsson without his signature glimpses of idiocy would be so much less charming!"
Finishing in a slightly sarcastic tone, he laughs openly.
"Besiiiiides, I'm still a dang teenager. I've got plenty of time to change if I need to."(edited)
[7:13 PM] Amasuro: Luna shrugged, "I forget about that sometimes. I remember I was way older than you by a bit, but...how old were you again?"
...Oh yeah, I reminded myself. Ugh, man, I'm getting older.
[7:19 PM] jddaepicboss: "Nineteen, and...twenty in about a month's time, actually. Wow, I'd almost forgotten about that."
[8:12 PM] Amasuro: Ah crap he's six whole years younger than me? Dammit wh-
As Luna frowned to herself slightly without even knowing it, both of their deserts arrived and were placed on the table.
"Nineteen..." she muttered to herself, before suddenly blinking, "oh, your birthday is soon? How interesting!"
[12:34 AM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere nods while grabbing a spoon from his side and lifting another cloche from his plate.
"Yep, it's on the seventh of March, so pretty soon! ...wow, this looks deee~licious, my goodness!"
[2:43 AM] Amasuro: "Huh. Well, perhaps something can happen to make that a good...birthday...mmm this does look good..."
Her eyes seem suddenly fixated on the dish in front of her, as she grabs for the fork beside the plate. Then she slowly slips a bite into her mouth.
[4:13 AM] jddaepicboss: "Weeell, I'd appreciate a colossal party if you're ask--"
He begins in a sarcastic tone with a well hidden hint of genuine hopefulness, but realises his words while she's busy eating will probably just go in one ear and out the other. Therefore, the cavalier remains silent apart from several contented hums upon his first few bites of the cake, gradually speeding up his spoon action as the mouthfuls go by.
[3:56 PM] Amasuro: His thoughts are correct, as she continues to devour her food quietly. There is not much word from her side of the table besides some mild hums of enjoyment.
Also, everytime he looks, Bedivere might notice the meal disappearing about a quarter at a time.
[4:21 PM] jddaepicboss: However, that would imply that Bedivere bothers to look rather than simply focus on his own gateau with newfound ravenous pace almost rivaling Luna's. Almost.
Ahh, it's so sweet but not too sweet, has a kick but not a strong one, practically melts in the mouth...there's a reason I get this cake every damn time it's available to me, it's sooo gooooood...!
[4:35 PM] Amasuro: Her meal nearly finished, Luna takes one look upwards, nearly surprised at what she sees.
"Geez, seems you like that a lot more than your other meal, huh?"
[4:43 PM] jddaepicboss: "Mm hmm! Iph--gulp it's really great. I presume you enjoyed yours too, then?"
He looks down at the ravaged remains of the gateau on her plate, deciding not to make a witty remark considering his is...just the same.
[5:13 PM] Amasuro: "It was worth my money and time, lets put it that way. I'm rather more impressed at how vibrant you looked compared to earlier."
Luna sat back into her seat, wiping her mouth, "mmm, yes, I can come back here sometime. Haven't tried any of their soup selections yet, after all."
[5:32 PM] jddaepicboss: Gathering the last few pieces on his spoon, he finishes the meal with a large gulp.
"Well, I don't particularly like soup, but I share the sentiment otherwise. And hey, it's...well, probably my favourite meal full stop, of course it'll make me more vibrant!"
[1:10 AM] Amasuro: "Huh. Well, the more you know. You, uhh, do remember that you are paying for this favourite meal of yours, yes?"
Man I should really pay for it. Its not like I can't afford it.

[2:52 AM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere returns to rolling his eyes in amusement at this comment.
"Of course I do! I'm not so poor as to be incapable of paying for a meal or two. Remember, rising star and all that?"
[2:57 AM] Amasuro: "Hey now, being rich doesn't mean you just blow the money so freely. Though, I suppose this is a special occasion, so I thank you for your generosity!" Luna speaks with a wave of her hand.
[3:17 AM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere makes an attempt at an overly posh bow within his seat, ending up looking more silly than anything.
"You are most welcome. Though in all seriousness, it's fine, least I can do seeing as we haven't talked in a couple years. I'll admit..."
He pulls his sleeve up somewhat to reveal the pulsing blue gem encased in a bracelet of sorts.
"...I mostly forgot about this thing, which is why I barely sent any letters, ahaha, but I'll try to remember from here on out."
[3:24 AM] Amasuro: Luna leaned closer towarwds the bracelet, giving a small 'ooh' sound as she looked.
"Ooh, huuuh. I forgot your gem was blue. I do like that colour quite a lot, though red is the colour of royalty."
She leaned back, pulling the ruby necklace out from under her shirt. The shine of the gem radiating brightly in its center.
[3:32 AM] jddaepicboss: "Understandable. I do prefer mine personally, blue's more...carefree and lighthearted as a colour so I suppose one might say it fits me! Though after the boat trip here, I've seen enough of the colour blue to last a lifetime..."
He grimaces, remembering the horribly dull months at sea.
[8:52 PM] Amasuro: "Seems like that memory was painful," Luna replies, tucking the gem back inside her shirt.
"What, you afraid of water?" She grinned towards him, as the waiter arrived to place a check on the table.
[2:01 PM] jddaepicboss: "(No, I'm more afraid of this bill than that...)"
He mutters under his breath so that the waiter doesn't hear him, before digging his wallet from his pockets begrudgingly upon checking the price, and withdrawing plenty of coins.
"That...should cover it! Give my compliments to the chef on that gateau, by the way. Scrumptious!"
[7:19 PM] Amasuro: "I agree. The food was quite delicious. I believe I will return here sometime," Luna said in turn to the waiter, who smiled and bowed at the table before taking the check and money away.
Once the waiter was out of earshot, Luna turned back to Bedi, "yeah, scrumptious for the guy who didn't finish his entree."
[7:32 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere taps his forehead as though about to explain some sort of ingenious logic.
"Hence why I complimented the gateau, and not the entree! Simple, no?"
He sighs absentmindedly, trailing his finger back down to the table and tapping it there.
[7:36 PM] Amasuro: "Hah, fine, fine. I'll give you that one. Your ego could use the boost, anyway."
Luna shrugged, "now, I hope you're ready to walk me out of this place. Hell, I don't think I can even eat back in this restaraunt if I have to walk through 'that' everytime."
[7:47 PM] jddaepicboss: Bedivere nods, standing to his feet, and unfurling his cape from the seat before smoothing it out behind him.
"Can do. Though, before we go...sorry if I've seemed a bit...off today. I'm tired, and nervous, and...well, you know me. I am glad to see you again, even if my constant jabs didn't...represent that all too clearly, ahah."
Looking off to the exit of the restaurant, he smiles, seemingly getting over his brief moment of weakness almost immediately, and jerks his head in its direction.
"Now, come along then! I'm a busy man, ya know~!"
[7:52 PM] Amasuro: "Yeah, you sappy idiot. I'm pretty happy to see you too, again." Luna replied, sliding off the chair and standing up, prepared to follow him.
"Though, 'busy man', I sure hope you're aware that you still look like a dork."
