[7:41 PM] Lawls: Just outside the prison. One could see a quite fluffy wyvern a person wielding a tome, Casting what seemed to be a normal looking spell as he chants a spell finishing with one last...
"Hah!"
Valentinus said as he looked to the his palm and dampens as he sees the spell did not work
"...That was supposed to make a small flame in my hand... You feel any different Nero?"
He said looking down to his friend
[7:45 PM] Rompastomp: Thankfully, I believe that had no effect upon me. Then again, perhaps it is simply less obvious than usual.
Nero yawns, scratching at the ground with one claw.
Time will tell, I suppose.
[7:49 PM] Lawls: Inspecting his wyvern carefully, the male looks back up and smiles.
"Alright that's good."
Looking back to his book, he starts flipping through his book
"I'll try another spell, alright Nero?"
[7:55 PM] Rompastomp: Very well. I shall hope you succeed. It is best for the both of us.
[8:03 PM] Lawls: "Elleka... Num ah num uh..."
The male finally gets the fire to grow in his hands and he smiles
"Hey! I did it Nero."
Moving the small fire in front of Nero so he can see
[8:05 PM] Rompastomp: Hmhmhm. Admirable work. A respectable effort, Valentinus.
Nero keeps a fair distance from the fire, content to simply observe.
[8:39 PM] Psychic Loser: Surveying the area, a man mounted atop a Pegasus can be seen in the distance. He waves.(edited)
[8:41 PM] Lawls: Valentinus does not notice this as his attention is on the flame
"...Hey, watch this."
The male clicks...
Nothing happens.
[8:46 PM] Psychic Loser: Noticing the man ignore his gesture, the rider cautiously draws his pole-arm, a Naginata, and gallops forth.
He darts over in seconds, his mount kicking dust into the air.
[8:49 PM] Rompastomp: Valentinus. We have company.
The dust clouds up in front of Nero's face, causing him to snort rather undelicately.
A simple "greetings" would have sufficed.
[9:03 PM] Lawls: The males fire shoots up into the air as he gets startled and starts coughing
[9:03 PM] Lawls: "Uh... Hello there?"
[9:03 PM] Lawls: The male looked up to the sky and saw the miniscule fire ball flying up
[9:04 PM] Lawls: "...Whoops. You think it'll come down Nero?"
[9:05 PM] Rompastomp: No idea. If it does, let us hope it lands elsewhere.
[9:10 PM] Psychic Loser: The man talks to his mount, likewise "I should have guessed it just be a couple travelers. Thank you for keeping me on guard though, Kaguya."
The mount does not react or respond in any meaningful way.
"So," the rider said lowering his guard, "what's a dragon rider like you doing all the way out here?"(edited)
[9:17 PM] Lawls: "Wyverns rider there's a difference."
[9:18 PM] Lawls: The male said with an upbeat tone and smile as he looked onward to his friend "
[9:18 PM] Lawls: "Were out here practicing magic."
[9:19 PM] Lawls: Val says with a smile as he holds up his tome
[9:21 PM] Rompastomp: Hmph. Dragon. Well, it is closer than "lizard", I suppose.
Nero eyes off the rider and the mount in turn.
...A pegasus. Hm. Not often I lay eyes upon such beings.
[9:29 PM] Psychic Loser: The rider adjust himself to the right slightly.
"Magic?" He eyes the tome recognizing it as a type of fire spell. He lowers his voice, "Don't go burning down any buildings."
The Pegasus nods its head, seemingly in agreement with its rider.(edited)
[9:31 PM] Lawls: "Alright? I wasn't planning on burning any villages anyway."
[9:32 PM] Lawls: The rider chuckles and looks to the pegasi
[9:34 PM] Rompastomp: Valentinus, something strikes me as... odd, about this human.
Nero turns his head-side on, his reptilian eye peering at Akira with a wild curiosity.
Of course, it is straight into the questions, as they all are, but this one asks strange queries.
[9:40 PM] Psychic Loser: The rider nodded, "I guess we're in agreement then."
He glares at the tome and looks at the accompanying rider's Wyvern, "I consider fire a bit of a bad omen. So you best watch yourself."
He sighed, talking to himself quietly, "Especially on days like this."(edited)
[9:45 PM] Rompastomp: Nero's eyes narrow, and he grunts with disapproval.
"Best watch yourself?" I believe that was a threat. How unpleasant... and disrespectful.
[3:07 AM] Lawls: Recognising the sigh he places his tome away and puts the hand that held out the book on top of Nero.
"Will do. Can I ask for your name sir?"
The male responded with a large smile, looking down to his wyvern. His eyes could tell a million words.
[5:11 AM] Psychic Loser: "Akira." the Pegasus rider said, adjusting his weight in the saddle.
[6:50 PM] Rompastomp: ...I wonder, can the pegasus communicate?
Nero lets out a quiet, unassuming rumble, in an attempt to gain its attention.
[6:53 PM] Lawls: "Nice to meet you Akira."
The rider continues his quite large smile as pets his wyvern on the head
"And this is my friend Nero."
[7:23 PM] Psychic Loser: The Pegasus gives Nero a sarcastic look that could be interpreted as I can't speak Wyvern.
"This here," he points down to his Pegasus "is Kaguya."
[7:24 PM] Rompastomp: Nero stares at it for a moment longer, before turning back to Valentinus.
I do not like it.
[7:26 PM] Lawls: This causes Valentinus to laugh happily as he looks forward talking directly to the pegasi
"Well nice to meet you Kaguya."
[7:32 PM] Psychic Loser: The Pegasus shakes it's head, seemingly in response to the other rider.
The Sky Knight raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?"
[7:45 PM] Rompastomp: Hmhmhm. Well, they do not seem to share our amusement.
[7:52 PM] Lawls: "Hehe... Don't think so Nero."
The male said with a chuckle before looking back to the pegasi and his rider contining to hold his idle smile
"Nero just said something funny."
[7:56 PM] Psychic Loser: "Wait. You can talk to your Wyvern? I talk to Kaguya all the time but, we can't communicate."(edited)
[7:59 PM] Rompastomp: I still wonder what manner of magic it is you cast on that day. It seems nobody else has experienced such abilities.
[8:01 PM] Lawls: "Well yeah, Some magic mishap happened when I was trying to cast a spell and... Well... Now I can communicate with him."
Val scratched his head and wasn't sure how far he could delve into the subject of magic before it struck a nerve. The male was interupted by Nero as he listens closely to his friend
"I'll have to look into it more... Surely the spells gotta be written down somewhere... Right bud?"
He states as he gives the mount a side pat
[8:05 PM] Psychic Loser: "Say, what's your name rider?"
[8:12 PM] Lawls: "Hmm? Oh! Uh, Valentinus."
Realising he never actually said his name, the male got a little bit flustered as he looked towards his wyvern
Probably should remember to introduce myself next time.
[8:14 PM] Rompastomp: Hmhmhm. I was thinking of pointing that out. At least he knows, now.
[8:23 PM] Psychic Loser: "So, you've studied magic?" Akira asked Valentinus, a hint of concern riddled his voice.
[8:24 PM] Lawls: "Uh... Yeah. You could say that."
The male said as his smile dampened a tad.
[8:33 PM] Psychic Loser: "Could I ask you to see something or, at least borrow your collection of books?"(edited)
[8:40 PM] Rompastomp: Nero's eyes narrow, and his mouth opens slightly to display an impressive row of deadly teeth. He makes no noise.
...Ask him why, Valentinus.
[8:41 PM] Lawls: Looking down to his wyvern his head becomes clouded as he comes back to reality. Nodding at this friend
"May I ask... Why Akira?"
[8:49 PM] Psychic Loser: "I have a problem that needs magical assistance." he says grabbing his left sleeve.
[8:51 PM] Rompastomp: Ask him to elaborate.
Nero takes a slight step forth, not taking his eyes off Akira.
[8:53 PM] Lawls: Noticing the slight step forward he nods and after some slight hesitation takes out one of his books, As it is blank on the outside Akira would not know if it's a magical tome or just simple book.
"Would you... Mind elaborating?"
The male said with soft eyes, determined to help this male with his problem, comes with naivety
[8:59 PM] Psychic Loser: "I think it would be easier if I just showed you."
Akira rolled up his left sleeve, revealing odd shapes and runes that decorated his arm. It crawled all the way down to his fingertips and even decorated the inside of his palm.
[9:02 PM] Rompastomp: Nero's threatening posture is abandoned instantly, his neck poking upwards as he observes Akira's bizarre array of insignias upon his arm.
...Well, this is something I have never laid eyes upon before. This is... related to magic?
[9:06 PM] Lawls: "Is uh... This the result of magic?"
...What is this stuff.
The male inspected closely and opened up one of his books. Trying to cross reference he if found something even slightly similar to it
[9:11 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira nodded, "I have reason to believe it is."
He continually turns his arm over, palm up, palm down, so that Valentinus may inspect it.(edited)
[9:26 PM] Rompastomp: ...Does it have any... magical capabilities?
[9:27 PM] Lawls: "...What can it do Akira?"
The male stops on a page and read down it, scanning if he can see any similarities
[9:37 PM] Psychic Loser: "I'm not sure. Although, I do seem to be drawn toward any type of magical item. Sometimes it goes numb and gives me pains."(edited)
[9:48 PM] Rompastomp: Peculiar. ...Well, this is an interesting one. I believe I am stumped.
Nero nudges Valentinus with the tip of his nose.
No chance you would have happened upon mention of such an affliction at Awes, is there?
[9:53 PM] Lawls: "Hmm..."
A slight giggle comes out of Val as he gets nudged, his attention on the pages.
"I... I don't think so Nero... Not that I can remember."
Looking back up to it the male responses
"The best idea I've gotten is... A curse? Maybe?"
[10:06 PM] Psychic Loser: "Your guess is probably as good as mine."
Akira sighed, "Could I...get back to you if have any more questions?"(edited)
[10:43 PM] Lawls: "Of course."
The male scratches his mounts head in recognition
[11:01 PM] Rompastomp: ...You know, I will be thinking about this strange arm of his for days, now. What an odd predicament.
[9:19 PM] Psychic Loser: "Thank you. Both of you."
[9:25 PM] Lawls: "Not a problem Akira! We'll get down to the... I wanna say cursed arm."
The male gave an optimistic smile as he shut the book and scratches the males head
[10:11 PM] Rompastomp: Hm. Well, we have done nothing yet. Nevertheless, his gratitude is appreciated.
[2:28 PM] Psychic Loser: "I'll be on my way then. I have a few* errands* to run today."
[4:19 PM] Lawls: "Oh alright. It was nice meeting you and your arm Akira"
[4:19 PM] Lawls: The rider smiled as he looked towards the male.
[8:32 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira nodded. "I hope to meet you again."
With that said, he galloped off.
[8:51 PM] Rompastomp: Nero is silent as the man and his mount retreat, his attention fixed on them. As the sounds of galloping hooves fade to nothing, Nero turns to Valentinus.
...Altogether, not too unpleasant of a human. A human nonetheless, however.
[9:26 PM] Lawls: "...Wait was he in the queens group."
Looking up to the winged horse he cursed under his breath. Something quite unlike Val, as he used next to no curses in everyday life.
"I should of asked him that... Oh well. Hopefully we'll meet again."
The male said with a hopeful smile, as his hand continued to lay on Neros hair as he looked back to his wyvern
[10:02 PM] Rompastomp: If he is, then no doubt we will see him again soon. If not... well, no fur off our backs.
Nero pauses.
Or skin, I suppose.
[10:04 PM] Lawls: This causes the male to laugh and lie back on the fuzz smiling up to the sky
"But then we'll never find out about that cursed arm! Hehe..."
The smile clear as day as he looked to the sky(edited)
[10:07 PM] Rompastomp: We can worry about that another time. For now, let us simply acquaint ourselves with the group as well as possible.
[10:09 PM] Lawls: Valentinus nods and looks to his wyvern
"Yeah, we should."
Stretching out slight the male smiles, agreeing with his wyvern
But this is so comfy...
[10:11 PM] Rompastomp: Well, then. Let us be off. Up you get.
[10:13 PM] Lawls: A joking groan comes from the rider cracks his neck
"Alright alright, I'm up and ready."
He said with a chuckle
[10:34 PM] Rompastomp: Nero crouches, body low to the ground, awaiting Valentinus.
To the skies.
[10:37 PM] Lawls: Body also low and with a huge smile with uncomparable vigour. Val holds on carefully
"To the skies!"
Looking to the skies that almost gleemed like crystals, Vals teeth gleemed even brighter.
[4:28 PM] Rompastomp: The wings of the wyvern spread wide. Nero takes a few steps forth, gradually increasing in pace, before the wind falls beneath his wings. With a series of mighty wingbeats, Nero and Valentinus are airborne, passing just over the canopy of the forest trees, headed back towards the prison.
