73: Only Interesting Person Here

Featuring: Kalenzo, Auriel

September 15, 2016
[4:25 AM] ColdToiletSeat: Kalenzo's unconscious body laid there unmoving, highly contrary to the river that he would be found adjacent to. His entire self looked like a mess, the cloak that had covered him looked like a tattered mess and what one could see of his hair was a matted mess that was caked with drying mud. In one of his clutched hands was his signature weapon, the other was one of his arrows. It had seemed that death had finally claimed the artist, at first. Upon further inspection, one could tell that his heart still had a beat to it and that he was breathing quite faintly.
[4:41 AM] Z: River it is.... Tracks are so dilluted its almost impossible to catch. I hate this... Scouring another riverbank and swatting away bugs with her tail, Auriel was still searching for her lost ally. According to witnesses, he dissapeared into the rivers after being struck by a long ranged spell.(edited)
[4:44 AM] Z: Auriel swept away another bush from her face, exiting onto another end of the stream. The lake wasnt abundantly big, but the masked scent and natural camoflague of the unconscious man on the shore kept her from finding him immediately, until she spotted his bow.
[4:47 AM] Z: Pulling him back onto proper land, his heartbeats, even if faint were apparent to her due to her enhanced senses. Pulling out her old staff, she started channeling a healing spell onto him. "Can't die yet you bastard... You are the only interesting person here barring Luna..."(edited)
[5:06 AM] ColdToiletSeat: Gods above, is THIS what death is like? I'd imagine there'd be a bit of a delightful fanfare for my induction to the gates of hell... Kalenzo thought, feeling a shift in his position as he was dragged ashore from what would be his watery grave. Not soon after, life had seized him by the collar and violently threw him back into consciousness. His eyes twitched after a minute of channeling, and after another couple of seconds his eyelids fluttered open and his pupils dilated, starting to dart around. At last his glare settled on the glowing bulb that was pointed at him. "Wh-haugh?!" The artist panicked, jolting his body upright before grabbing the staff below the bulb and pointing it away from him as if it were a charging weapon. Fear filled his eyes as he thought his second chance at life would be taken away as quickly as he had received it.
[5:14 AM] Z: "So.... You'd rather die now artist?" Auriel kept her staff in her hand, seriousness apparent in her voice. "You are aaalmost dead. You are lucky to still be breathing." Auriel pointed the staff at him again, staring at him.
[5:31 AM] ColdToiletSeat: Kalenzo's breath was shallow and labored as Auriel berated him for refusing her aid. His terrified stare softened as he came to the quick realization of who was helping him, the man let go of the staff and let his hand fall to the ground. The artist's grim expression was cracked by a grin, from the grin came a low chuckle, from that low chuckle sprang forth a maniacal fit of cackling. The virtuoso threw his head back, using the same momentum to collapse right onto his back. "Aahahahah..." Kalenzo laughed on the ground, raising a hand to wipe away a tear as his bout of hysteria tapered off. "Ahah... Ah, Miss Auriel, you are the last person I would've expected to be here, healing me and with such a serious tone no less? Gods, you are just full of surprises aren't you?"(edited)
[5:48 AM] Z: Auriel grinned, realizing that he was alive enough to have a bout of hysteria, and in her book that was "alive enough". "Am I not? Sorry, but I can't let you die just yet. Now, will you hold still while i try to keep you alive?"
[6:09 AM] ColdToiletSeat: "Ahah, eheh... Of course." Kalenzo smirked, starting to calm his breathing as he relaxed on the ground, feeling the wonderful feeling of life flowing through his veins. He let out a sigh of relief, a smug look still planted on his face. "You know, I never really took you to be a staff user."
[10:48 AM] Z: "Hmph... Of cooourse... Not like I advocate staying alive." Auriel continued working on healing Kalenzo, his wounds taking more of her concentration
[2:40 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "Heh... a bit ironic, isn't it? Being able to give life as easily as you can take it?" Kalenzo asked, having the feeling of his wounds start to leave him, much to his relief.
[2:53 PM] Z: "Yeah.. That is part of what makes the job good i suppose.. You should reaaally learn these tricks yourself." Auriel slowly stopped the healing, removing most of the dangerous wounds. Even though some remained, they would have to stay until Auriel could get a new staff
[5:50 PM] ColdToiletSeat: Kalenzo took note of the tapering off of the healing magic's usual flow. Alongside the magic, the man's unusual giddiness subsided into an idle hum. "Heh, I know a thing or two of medicine, healing magic not so much. However, my father may have been a bumbling idiot, but he taught me what he knew about vulneraries and concoctions and all of that."
[11:11 PM] Z: "And you stiiiiill couldnt save yourself... Isnt that pretty useless then?" The orb of the staff blackened, and was almost gone completely dark. This staff wouldnt have much use anymore.

[5:54 AM] ColdToiletSeat: "Well, if you couldn't tell, it's quite hard to self-medicate when you're unconscious." Kalenzo responded, sitting himself upright as the staff's once brilliant light grew dim. He winced as he moved, reaching behind him and pulling out his vulnerary. "But, now I can finish your job."
[6:24 AM] Z: "Sounds good enough... I have a better weapon now after all."
[6:25 AM] Z: Auriel stood up again, the mud and dirt around the area annoying her. That's gonna be a pain to clean away
[11:24 AM] ColdToiletSeat: Kalenzo took a minute to properly patch himself up, applying the contents of the vulnerary to his more minor wounds. With the occasional wince and bout of cursing, the artist seemed like he was healed for the most part. The man got up, his knees a tad wobbly before he stood up straight, rolling his shoulders and stretching whatever limbs as a test of soreness. "You know, most of the people I know would've left me back there to become food for the animals. Which begs the question, why. Why did you come back for me?"(edited)
[4:10 PM] Z: "Isnt it obvious Kala? We have unfinished work to do... I did tell you i would surpass you the next time after all...." Doing some minor stretching excersises, Auriel returned her attention to the staff in her hands. It was a bit shorter, but it had a chilly aura. The shards created by it impaling and stabbing at the user's notice. It was the perfect weapon, matching her knives. Seeing the spikes fly and seek out their target was a satisfying feeling, one of control. This weapon would surely tilt their minor "competition" in her favour.

[5:54 AM] ColdToiletSeat: "Ohohoho" Kalenzo chuckled, bringing up a hand to cover his mouth as he did so before lowering it to let out a remark, "Well, you're certainly right about one of those things..." After giving off a bit of a smug look, Kalenzo turned towards the fort and took in a breath, letting out a hard sigh. He pointed his finger towards the approximate area of the encampment, turning his face to look at the maid before asking, "Well, miss Auriel, I believe that the camp is this way?"
[9:46 AM] Z: "Indeed... I imagine not many of them are still looking for you.... Also, you owe me now......" Auriel moved her tail in front of her, attempting to clean away some of the mud. It didnt go well. The things i do for fun i guess...
[2:49 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "Oh, I owe you now?" Kalenzo raised his eyebrows at his healer, starting to walk towards the encampment. The artist rolled his shoulders before letting out a groan and shrugging before placing his hands into his pockets. As the two walked together, the bowman concealed a snicker as Auriel tried to clean herself, only to have it cease when he had come to the realization that he himself was in a similar situation. "...Well, I suppose that's only fair."
[2:56 PM] Z: "Isnt iiiiit? Then... You help me get the mud out of my fur....." Auriel grinned lazily at Kalenzo, anticipating a response
[3:08 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "Tch." Kalenzo sneered, narrowing his eyes at the woman's offer. "You know, for a 'maid,' you are quite the lazy one."
[3:10 PM] ColdToiletSeat: "Are you sure you can't get it out by yourself?" He added, subconsciously starting to rake the drying mud out of his pony-tail.
[3:16 PM] Z: "Nah..... You can do it..... Its more fuuuuun that way." Auriel giggled, smiling at the artist. Having him back would be great, and there was more "art" to be made. Just the way it was supposed to be.
[3:16 PM] Z: =END RP(?)=
