[8:24 PM] REWlego: After Chapter 4, in the new setting.
Leodin lays awake in the infirmary at the group's new temporary camp. He hasn't been able to look around the area at all, as he's been stuck here since they arrived. Feeling guilty and ashamed for his early fall on the battlefield, he stays quiet and doesn't interact with the others there. He just eats, waits, sleeps, and repeats. Thankfully his stay here isn't going to last much longer though, but he's not well enough to leave quite yet.
[8:33 PM] Amasuro: Luna dramatically pushes open the tent flaps away, walking straight into the infirmary. She takes a moment to smile at what soldiers were inside the room, while scanning the area, looking for one particular person. Upon seeing him, Luna walks directly over.
"There-!" She receeds quickly, realizing the loud volume of her voice in an infirmary, "...there you are. If it isn't the great Stormblade."
[8:35 PM] REWlego: "Hello Queen Lunarea."
He tries his best to sit up straight.
"Apologies for what happened earlier today."
[8:38 PM] Amasuro: She leans closer to him, her hands on her hips.
"Tch, apologies are right. I haven't seen someone fall that quickly in a battlefield since..."
Her eyes stare up towards the ceiling, before looking back down towards Leodin.
"...Well, I can't remember. You sure that sword isn't just for show?"
[8:39 PM] REWlego: He winces as he shifts in the bed.
"Once I get out of here, you can find out."
[8:42 PM] Amasuro: "Hah! Funny." She laughs. A sly smile on her face as she holds a hand up to hide it.
"Ugh, well regardless you will be together with us for a while. I guess a bit of combat practice won't hurt you much. I'll make sure I don't injure you again by accident."
[8:43 PM] REWlego: "This doesn't happen often milady. I was... distracted, is all."
[8:44 PM] Amasuro: "Well that was your fault for jumping into a flower bush!"
[8:45 PM] REWlego: "I know, it was my fault. I'm sorry."
[8:47 PM] Amasuro: Its not fun when you don't get angry.
Luna scowls, looking away from Leodin.
"Well, whatever. As long as you understand your mistake, I suppose."
[8:48 PM] REWlego: "I understand completely... But I'm looking forward to fighting with you... Contrary to what you saw today, I think I could put up quite a challenge."
[8:51 PM] Amasuro: Damn its like talking to my sister. Whats with these types anyway.
"Then I look forwards to it! Just...recover first, alright? Like, actually. An injured body isn't very useful."
[8:53 PM] REWlego: "I'm actually already doing a lot better. Why don't we go now?"
[8:54 PM] Amasuro: "Yea-, wait what, seriously?"
[8:55 PM] REWlego: "Sure! I'm never going to get better if I don't push myself."
[8:57 PM] Amasuro: "I'm not one to give such a disadvantaged opponent another disadvantage, but...if you insist I suppose." Luna spoke as she shrugged.
[8:59 PM] REWlego: He jumps out of the bed to show he's ready.
"You're pretty confident I see."
[9:01 PM] Amasuro: She flicks her hair with a hand.
"Just stating facts."
[9:02 PM] REWlego: "So, where to? I don't know my way around this place yet."
[9:04 PM] Amasuro: "Mmmgh, there's some makeshift fight arena somewhere around here that some guys are setting up, but...mmm...too many people watching. If I'm sparring, its gotta be somewhere a bit...quieter."
She suddenly turns towards Leodin, her eyes wide.
"How about one of those bridges way up top?"
[9:07 PM] REWlego: "Um... sure! I'll follow you, milady."
[9:09 PM] Amasuro: Luna just laughs at Leodin.
"Seriously? Hell, if my life wasn't so valuable, then maybe. I don't think people will be very happy with me if I were to accidentally push the great Stormblade down to his death."
She gestures to him with a finger, before walking out of the tent.
"Come, I'm sure there are better places on ground level."
[9:11 PM] REWlego: Is it even possible to tell when she's joking?
He follows the queen to wherever she's taking him.
[9:13 PM] Amasuro: Luna wanders the camp, snatching two practice swords before wandering around until the people around them begin to disperse and thin out. Eventually, she finds a relatively quiet clearing near the outskirts of camp.
"This might be a good a place as ever. Oy, Stormblade, what'ya think?"
[9:16 PM] REWlego: "This seems good."
[9:18 PM] Amasuro: She fingers the practice sword in her hands, before flipping one over her shoulder towards Leodin.
"Catch!"
[9:21 PM] REWlego: He reaches up and catches the hilt. He then removes Morderrand's sheath and leans it against a tree.
[9:23 PM] Amasuro: Luna flips the practice sword in her hand, feeling the hilt before glancing back towards Leodin.
"Alright then, Stormblade. Come at me."
[9:33 PM] REWlego: He approaches slowly towards the queen, not knowing anything about her fighting technique. He eventually starts with by feinting a thrust and then slashing the blade horizontally.
[9:38 PM] Amasuro: Standard.
Leodin might notice a faint shift in Luna's foot, before she dashes off to his right. His blade not even coming close to hitting anything but wind.
The woman was now nowhere in sight.
[9:40 PM] REWlego: Leodin quickly removes his mask and tosses it next to Morderrand to improve his peripheral vision. He looks around for Luna and stays in a guarded stance.
[9:43 PM] Amasuro: There is a slight laughter in the trees. It is barely audible, but its definitely there.
"Be afraid, Stormblade."
A figure suddenly emerges from the side, slashing her sword towards Leodin's back.
[9:44 PM] REWlego: He doesn't notice her quickly enough and takes the hit, but retaliates by slashing the sword backwards, and then turns to face her.
[9:47 PM] Amasuro: Luna doesn't expect the retaliation, the sword striking her against her face as she passes by. Stumbling from the impact and her own momentum, she rolls on the floor before quickly recovering herself.
"Tch," she growls, her body low to the floor with one hand against the earth.
[9:49 PM] REWlego: "Thought it was going to be easy, huh? I'm self taught. My fighting style won't be seen anywhere else."
He backs up a few steps and readies himself again.
[9:51 PM] Amasuro: She darts towards him again, her cold white figure almost flickering as she darted side to side. Finally reaching Leodin, she aims her sword towards his stomach, making a horizontal slash.
[9:52 PM] REWlego: He was expecting the attack, but not the speed. He raises his sword but it's too late and before he knows it, he's on the ground.
"Touché"
[9:53 PM] Amasuro: "Heh."
Luna doesn't finish the battle, dashing away until she vanishes from Leodin's sight yet again.
[9:55 PM] REWlego: Leodin gets up and scans the trees, and sees a small amount of movement. He reaches for his dagger and throws it at a nearby branch.
[9:57 PM] Amasuro: Luna darts out immediately seeing the dagger headed towards the branch. Another strike aimed at his back.
Where was that going? Amateur.
[10:00 PM] REWlego: Unfortunately for Luna, that's what Leodin had planned. He brings his sword behind his back, blocking the strike, and pushes her back.
[10:02 PM] Amasuro: Caught offguard by the parry, Luna loses complete balance as the push stumbles her. She slams into the ground, to weakened to try another rolling recovery.
[10:04 PM] REWlego: Leodin decides to stay put, not knowing what kind of retaliation she has planned. He readies himself for another attack.
[10:06 PM] Amasuro: She stands up slowly, her sword still readied in front of her. A slightly more serious look on her face as she inches slowly towards Leodin.
[10:08 PM] REWlego: I see... Here comes the real fight.
Instead of slashing with his sword, he kicks his foot straight towards her.
[10:09 PM] Amasuro: She sidesteps the kick, bringing her sword in a downwards arc simutaniously.
[10:10 PM] REWlego: Leodin uses the kick to his advantage and drops to the ground before rolling to the side, and then stands back up.
[10:12 PM] Amasuro: She doesn't allow Leodin to recover, swiping horizontally again towards his chest as he tries to stand.
[3:00 PM] REWlego: He stops halfway through standing up in a kneeling position and blocks the attack, then pushes back again before standing up the whole way.
[3:02 PM] Amasuro: Luna takes a short leap back, before charging forward again. A thrust aimed at his chest, followed by another horizontal slash if he were to deflect it.
[3:05 PM] REWlego: Instead of deflecting the sword thrust, he sidesteps it and puts some distance between them.
[3:06 PM] Amasuro: She remains on the offensive, aggressively stepping forward with a few more quick jabs towards Leodin.
[3:07 PM] REWlego: Leodin parries the attacks and retaliates with a quick vertical slash.
[3:10 PM] Amasuro: Luna parries the attack. Her sword held horizontally. Surprised by the strength in his attack, her stance is pushed back slightly.
[3:12 PM] REWlego: He keeps attacking quickly, not leaving his opponent much time in between strikes. A horizontal slash, followed by another vertical slash and a thrust.
[3:16 PM] Amasuro: Feeling suddenly pressured by the barrage of attacks, she parries both slashes in a slightly frenzied matter. The thrust, however, catches her square in the shoulder. Luna winces, leaping backwards again with a slight pained expression on her face.
"Ngh, enough! ...I acknowledge your...skill, Stormblade."
[3:18 PM] REWlego: He lowers his weapon and nods.
"And I acknowledge yours as well, Queen Lunarea. Shall we call this a draw?"
[3:21 PM] Amasuro: "Hmph, know that I could easily beat you if I decided to. I'm just...a bit tired from the earlier battle. Not really up to my usual standards, y'know?"
Luna rotates the shoulder Leodin had earlier prodded, a hand on it as she did.
"Fine, a draw is a passable result."
[3:22 PM] REWlego: "Ha! You're talking to the person that just got out of the infirmary... Maybe we should have a rematch when we're both at full strength."
[3:24 PM] Amasuro: Hmph, don't start talking to me like we're equal.
"Fine. I look forward to it, Stormblade."
Luna turns away from Leodin, starting to walk away before she paused in her tracks.
"...Say, that bouquet of flowers back at the castle. That...that didn't happen to come from you, did it?"
[3:25 PM] REWlego: Leodin retrieves Morderrand, his mask, and his dagger before hurrying back to Luna.
"Um.. yeah. I left them there for your sister..."
[3:26 PM] Amasuro: "Hmph. As I figured."
She stands there for a moment, not glancing back towards Leodin.
"Don't think I've accepted you yet."
[3:28 PM] REWlego: "...Then that's something I'll have to work on over the course of our expedition."
[3:30 PM] Amasuro: Luna says nothing further, before walking off back towards camp.
[3:31 PM] REWlego: After a moment of brief silence,
"Thank you for the duel, Queen Lunarea."
[3:34 PM] Amasuro: ==End RP==
