[1:57 PM] Kwakado: Perched atop a small cliff was Goro the Cateyes, a ninja fighting to restore Khlin's former glory. He adjusted his green bandanna as he surveyed the area between the prison and the camp.
Damn...no sign of 'em. The old pigs sure know how to pick their targets...but I can't just report back with NOTHING....
[2:08 PM] Jaxx On: Might as well take a look at the prison, as horrid as they are.
Angel was walking.
More specifically Angel was walking, again, with his hood up, towards the prison area, to take a nice little peak at it and maybe help out. He didn't apply as much caution as before, though, knowing he could be accepted by these people fairly simply.
[2:11 PM] Kwakado: Hold on, that ain't one of them, is it? What's his hood up for?
Goro takes this as an opportunity to test out one of his ninja arts before the final battle for his country...and seemingly teleports behind Angel in a puff of smoke.
"Nothin' personal, kid..." Goro twirls a shuriken on his finger audibly. "But how about you lower that hood o' yours...slowly, now?"
[2:22 PM] Jaxx On: Damn it, how'd someone else get behind me?!
"Hail, stranger. What's your affiliation?"
[2:24 PM] Kwakado: "Heh!" Goro looked over his shoulder coolly, in order to hide the fact that he landed facing the completely wrong direction.
"I stand on the side of justice. What about you?"(edited)
[2:26 PM] Jaxx On: Angel still hasn't turned around because turning around's for dweebs it shows he's not hostile, as much.
"I stand on the side of the occupying group here."
[2:29 PM] Kwakado: "Thaaat would be me. Maybe we've met before, I dunno. The back of that hood ain't ringing any bells." Goro bit his lip, tilting his head in frustration. This guy was way more nonchalant than he expected.
[2:33 PM] Jaxx On: "I don't think we have, I just joined up. Well, as much as I can, can you help me get more well known that I've signed up? I don't fancy everybody sneaking up on me."
Angel turns around to look at the 'stander on the side of justice'
[2:36 PM] Kwakado: "Oh, uh..."
Turning to face him directly now, the green-garbed ninja ran an embarrassed hand through his brown hair.
"Yeah, guess that makes sense. We ain't exactly been winning up until now, so i guess I gotta help out all the new blood. Just remember!" Goro gave a thumbs up, pointing it into his chest.
"Goro the Cateyes joined the Rebellion, before it was cool!"
[2:40 PM] Jaxx On: "Fine by me. Why are you facing the other way?"
[2:41 PM] Kwakado: "Huh?" Goro, now facing Angel, looked the other way, then back to him. "I dunno. Hell, I don't even know who you are."
[2:42 PM] Jaxx On: "Angel."
[2:42 PM] Kwakado: "No, but what's your name? Like, what your family calls you?"
[2:45 PM] Jaxx On: "Angel."
[2:46 PM] Kwakado: "...oh. well, alright." Goro took a step back, sizing up the shorter man. "You're uh, not from around here are you?"
[2:47 PM] Jaxx On: "Nope."
[2:47 PM] Kwakado: "Okay."
[2:48 PM] Jaxx On: "Yup."
[2:49 PM] Kwakado: "You, uh..." Goro finally stops twirling his shuriken. "You seen a Dwabi around here? Or a guy in a black mask?
[2:50 PM] Jaxx On: "Huh?"
"No."
[2:50 PM] Jaxx On: "I've only seen one person in a mask, and they weren't a guy."
[2:51 PM] Kwakado: "Great!" Goro gave an encouraging nod. "You just did your first intel mission for the rebellion. Pretty easy, huh?"
[2:51 PM] Jaxx On: "Who wears a black mask even?"
[2:54 PM] Kwakado: "Ahh, looks like you've never heard of Godfried the Bold. He joined the Rebellion before there was a rebellion....went up against the entire army on his own." Goro gets a little misty-eyed, losing his focus as he reminisces a moment he was not even around to see. "That man was a true hero."
[2:59 PM] Psychic Loser: From around the corner light footsteps could be heard.
[3:01 PM] Kwakado: "Huh?!" Goro looks around the corner of the field for the source of the light footsteps.
[3:01 PM] Jaxx On: "Hmm? What is it?"
Angel does not move his head at all. Or anything else.(edited)
[3:04 PM] Psychic Loser: From behind one of the out cropping rocks. A man could be seen.
[3:11 PM] Kwakado: "Hey, you!" Goro's interrogation of this man lacks the flourishes and formalities of his current encounter. "Get over here an' identify yourself!"
[3:12 PM] Jaxx On: "Someone else? Really?"
Angel turns around as well to get a look at the new person.
[3:16 PM] Psychic Loser: The man was of short stature. He wore light armor and a scarf. "Akira. The man with the Pegasus."
[3:17 PM] Jaxx On: "Akira, huh? Wait, a pegasus?"
[3:18 PM] Kwakado: "Ohhhh! This guy!" Goro points to Akira in a redundant demonstration. "Yeah, he's with us. Good to uh, finally meet you, sir."(edited)
[3:21 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira brought his hand to his face. "For a ninja, you sure do like shouting."
[3:28 PM] Kwakado: "ooh- I'm sorry. I just figured, 'cause this area's been liberated by the rebellion, that, uh..." With every word, Goro's voice gets softer and softer.
"..look, I gotta report back anyway."
[3:30 PM] Jaxx On: "Report back to where?"
Angel says, still facing Akira.
[3:35 PM] Kwakado: "The Queen and a...a couple of her men, still haven't left the prison, I think. Gotta let command know they're missing."
[3:37 PM] Jaxx On: "That sounds like you should definitely inform them of that."
[3:40 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira let out a sigh, "I suggest we make it quick. If you want that information to get to her on time."
[3:41 PM] Kwakado: "Welp! In that case..."
Goro promptly drops a smoke bomb. Nothing happens.
He walks off towards the fort.
[3:42 PM] Jaxx On: "So, Akira was it?"
[3:45 PM] Psychic Loser: He shook his head at Goro's failure then turned to the other man. "Yes. Hello."
[3:45 PM] Jaxx On: "Good to meet you. So you are also a part of the camp here?"
[3:49 PM] Psychic Loser: " I've been stationed at the fort although I do occasionally scout out this far. Mind I ask who are you?"
[3:53 PM] Jaxx On: "Angel. Are you talking about Fort Ikkigane?"
[3:54 PM] Psychic Loser: "Yes. Indeed I am." He said crossing his arms.
"Pleasure meeting you Angle."
[3:56 PM] Jaxx On: "It's Angel. So you know this area well?"
[3:59 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira let out a cough. "My bad. As for knowing the area, like the back of my right hand. But you can thank Kaguya for that."
[4:00 PM] Jaxx On: "Kaguya? Who is that?"
[4:03 PM] Psychic Loser: "She's my Pegasus. Quite the wonder really."
[4:06 PM] Jaxx On: "Oh really? Yeah, Pegasi sound really cool."
[4:09 PM] Psychic Loser: "They can be when they want to be. Other times they steal your food."
[4:10 PM] Jaxx On: "I'd say they're just hungry."
[4:22 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira slightly smiled at Angel's remark. "You don't know the half of it. Kaguya's a bit spoiled."
[4:23 PM] Jaxx On: "Where is Kaguya at the moment?"
[2:16 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira pointed at the base of the incline that formed the cliff. A vague horse shape could be seen. It shown a pale white. "That's her over there."
[2:21 PM] Jaxx On: "She looks intriguing."
[2:23 PM] Psychic Loser: "You can go say hi to her if you want. I see no harm in it."
[2:25 PM] Jaxx On: "That would be much appreciated, but it seems she's a long way away."
[2:32 PM] Psychic Loser: "No problem." Akira brought his left and right fingers to his mouth, forming a whistle. The Pegasus came galloping over.
[2:50 PM] Jaxx On: "That's...pretty good hearing."
[3:03 PM] Psychic Loser: "I'd hope she could hear. I nursed her back to health after all."
[3:06 PM] Jaxx On: "Really? How badly was she hurt?"
[3:15 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira's head slumped down." Pretty badly. It's a wonder she can even run."
[3:35 PM] Jaxx On: "What hurt her?"
Angel tries to touch Kaguya.
[3:37 PM] Psychic Loser: "Her old owner. A Khlinese noble."
[3:38 PM] Jaxx On: He then tries to stroke the pegasus' main, or at least move his hand across her.
"That's horrid."
[3:42 PM] Psychic Loser: "It is. I can't imagine what would dive a person to do such a thing. Especially to such an elegant animal."
[3:43 PM] Jaxx On: He continues stroking or petting or whatever Kaguya.
"Horrible creatures can do horrible things, especially to the most beautiful of creatures."
[3:48 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira nodded. "It's a good thing she's with me now and not her old owner. We've helped eachother a lot these past few years."
[3:53 PM] Jaxx On: "That's really good of you."
[3:56 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira looked genuinely flattered. "Thank you. Too bad the Oligarchy thinks otherwise."
[4:02 PM] Jaxx On: "Huh? What do you mean?"
[4:08 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira rolled up his left sleeve, revealing band upon band of various writing. "The Oligarchy isn't very just in its punishment of others."
[4:10 PM] Jaxx On: Angel turns to Akira and takes a look at the writing.
"You too, huh? Governments aren't normally very just in their punishments."
[4:54 PM] Psychic Loser: "That's why I joined the rebellion."
[4:55 PM] Jaxx On: "That's a good reason."
[4:57 PM] Psychic Loser: "What about you?"
[2:00 PM] Jaxx On: "Me? Well, I came to train and gather supplies."
[2:02 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira raised an eyebrow. "Gather supplies. For what?"
[3:02 PM] Jaxx On: "To gain even more strength."
[3:21 PM] Psychic Loser: "And what is you plan to do with all that strength? Everyone has an end goal."
[3:30 PM] Jaxx On: "I can't tell you right now."
[3:34 PM] Psychic Loser: Akira nodded. "I see." He then turned to Kaguya, "Well, I've got some errands to run."
[3:43 PM] Jaxx On: "Could you inform some people of me?"
[3:52 PM] Psychic Loser: "Sure thing. I'll tell them all about you once I head back to base." He said climbing atop his mount. "Nice meeting you Angel. I'm off." And with that the pair of Akira and Kaguya flew off, into the sky.
[3:54 PM] Jaxx On: "Alright."
Angel continues to walk the way he was going before.
