[8:32 PM] Amasuro: Cooking RP boys
Joshua entered the massive kitchen deep inside the prison walls, ready to start organizing the cooking efforts for their army.
Hmm, I asked some people to bring their own ingredients here. I hope that wasn't a poor decision.
[8:33 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: Auriel enters the room, a bag full of pork meat over her shoulder.
Own ingredient? Let's go.
[8:35 PM] $Bemoney$: "Um..hello?" Claire peeks her head in with a knock on the door. "I recieved this from one of the rebels...said it was something used usually as a side dish..." She holds a small basket of strong smelling kimchi.
[8:37 PM] Tori: Tori followed in behind Claire.
"I got these onions from some locals for helping them with some stuff. Where should I put these?"
[8:39 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean poked his head into the kitchen as he suavely walked in with a bag full of freshly caught shrimp.
"Hello dear ladies and Joshua, a nice local woman gave me this bag of shrimp so hopefully we can use it for something grand!"
[8:42 PM] Amasuro: Joshua turned towards the group after they had all entered, "yeah, just put the ingredients on the counter here."
"Ah, good to see you all. Is this what we'll be using to make our dish today?"
He takes a look at all the ingredients brought inside the kitchen. A large slab of pork, a basket of kimchi, some onions, and a bag of shrimp.
...We're supposed to cook with this...how?
"Well...alright. How should we get started..."
[8:43 PM] $Bemoney$: "Well...uh...well we should cook the pork..no use in serving it raw.."
[8:43 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Cooooking isn't haaaard........ then again, what are we supposed to maaaake with this...."
[8:44 PM] Tori: "A surf and turf with a side of vegetables looks feasible here."(edited)
[8:44 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean nodded.
"It does indeed Tori. Not only intelligent on war tactics but Tori is even an expert on cooking. Truly a model wife she would be!"
[8:45 PM] Amasuro: Joshua takes the slab of pork, giving a strange look over to Jean.
[8:45 PM] Amasuro: "Well, yes, I don't think you should ever serve this raw..."
[8:46 PM] $Bemoney$: Claire pulls out a chunk of kimchi, wincing at the strong smell. "Hmm...we should try to cut this up too..." She brings it over to an empty spot on the counter and lays it on a cutting board
[8:47 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Creeeeeeeeeeeeep."
Auriel looks dissaprovingly over to Jean, before concentrating on the cooking again.
"So............ guess im taking theeese then..."
She grabs an onion, wondering what way she could cut it
[8:48 PM] Tori: "Yeah sure whatever pretty boy."
Tori scans the kitchen for a pot she could boil water in
[8:48 PM] Amasuro: Joshua begins to light a massive fire beneath what seemed to be a long grill surface.
[8:49 PM] $Bemoney$: After a bit of cutting, a Thunk comes from Claire's side. "....whoops..."
[8:49 PM] Tori: Tori looks over to Joshua who started up the grill.
"I've never really worked with anything more than a pot and an open fire."
[8:50 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean shrugged as he began to peel the shrimp he looked back to Claire.
"Be careful Claire, the cutting board isn't the enemy."
[8:50 PM] Amasuro: "Yeah, they've got some pretty neat stuff in here. I suppose its to help mass produce food for the inmates here."
[8:51 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "I meeean.... I doubt they maaaade much for these people..."
[8:51 PM] $Bemoney$: "...." she meekly nods, getting another cutting board out. "I've mostly done grills with my father..and even then he wouldn't let me do too much..." She takes a breath before starting again, taking much slower cuts
[8:51 PM] Abyssal John John: "Hmph wouldn't had killed them to make us some food for our stay...."
[8:52 PM] Amasuro: "Last I heard, most of the cooks were injured in the recent disaster."
[8:53 PM] $Bemoney$: "Goodness...everyone's suffering from the turmoil it seems."
[8:54 PM] Amasuro: "It was necessary."
Joshua places the slab of pork on top of a larger cutting board and begins slicing huge slices off of it.
[8:54 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Huuuuh....."
Auriel finished the first onion, having a stack of rings at the side of the cutting board.
[8:54 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean shrugs as he begins placing the shrimp on a pan.
"Whatever, what matters is that its here for us now and that we're able to use it for ourselves."
[8:55 PM] Amasuro: "Hmm, I suppose grilling all of these individually would make a sufficient meal. Although..."
Joshua looked over to the kimchi.
[8:56 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Maaaaking a bigger singular meaal almost always tastes better...."
[8:56 PM] Tori: "Sufficent yes, but we shouldn't waste food."
[8:57 PM] $Bemoney$: Claire's hands, all the way up to her elbows were painted with red. Her cutting board only showed what could be described as a messy massacre. Despite the mess, the pieces were somewhat evenly cut....in their own uneven way
[8:57 PM] $Bemoney$: She wiped her forehead, not knowing that left a red smear across her forehead
[8:58 PM] Abyssal John John: "Exactly! We only use what we nee-I don't know what impresses me more Claire the damage you've done to that cutting board or the fact that the meat is evenly cut...."
[8:58 PM] $Bemoney$: "...."
"It's not meat..."
[8:59 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Magicaaal..... Control your cutting more.."
[8:59 PM] Amasuro: Joshua walked over, looking at the cut slices of kimchi.
"Do we...grill these too...?"
[8:59 PM] Abyssal John John: "Sorry what was it Kimchi right? Seems like it'll be interesting..."
[9:00 PM] Tori: "Let's start by grilling the pork and the shrimp while we think about what to do with the ...kimchi was it...?"
[9:00 PM] $Bemoney$: "It's different from meat! It's just...so....." She stops speaking as she finishes cutting her current strip. "the rebels mentioned that we can just eat it as is...but they did say it can be fried..."
[9:01 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean nodded.
"I agree with that Tori."
[9:03 PM] Amasuro: "I can agree to that."
Joshua moved back over to where he had sliced the pork, and begins placing slices on top of the grill.
[9:04 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean followed him by also placing the shrimp on the grill trying to keep the great multitude of shrimp from touching the pork slices.
"Gods, Rika gave me a lot more then I realized...."
Maybe she give me this to feed Angard the more I think about it....
[9:04 PM] $Bemoney$: "Hmm..." She takes a piece. "Here, Tori, try a piece and tell me how it tastes.."
[9:07 PM] Tori: Tori takes the piece of kimchi from Claire and eats it
"Hmm it's a bit spicy but otherwise it's okay. I've never had kimchi before."
[9:07 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Wheeere did you eeeveeen get that...."
Auriel took a look at the pieces, curiously inspecting the.... messy cutting
[9:07 PM] Abyssal John John: "I don't think many of us have had kimchi before. But then again my culinary palette is pretty lacking in my mind...."
[9:08 PM] $Bemoney$: "Hm...they said they use it as a side dish for every meal...they kinda went out of their way to prove that too..." She shrugs. "Oh, some of the rebels gave it too me after I trained with them for a bit.."
[9:09 PM] Amasuro: I haven't even heard of this particular food dish before. I should visit Khlin more often.
[9:12 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: Cooking across the world. I have never heard of anything like such a dish before...
Auriel finished the last onion, clapping her hands together
"Soooo..... did we have any plaaan apart from 'see what stiiiicks'?"
[9:12 PM] Amasuro: "Uhh...no, not really."
[9:12 PM] Abyssal John John: "I think Tori suggested a surf and turf. The Steak, Onions, and Shrimp can go well with it but I have no idea on the kimchi..."
[9:13 PM] Tori: "The Kimchi can just be added on the side."(edited)
[9:13 PM] $Bemoney$: "Mhm...it is apparently used as a side dish...so that seems fitting..." She takes out the next bit of kimchi and begins hacking away.
[9:13 PM] $Bemoney$: I mean cutting not hacking
[9:13 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean shrugged.
"Touché my dear Tori."
[9:15 PM] Amasuro: "Dear lord. Claire, you don't need to kill that poor kimchi, it's not an enemy!"
[9:16 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean nodded.
"Sometimes its hard to remember how kind-hearted you are with how rough you are...."
[9:16 PM] $Bemoney$: "I can't help itt....." She groans, trying to control each cut. "I'm not used to cutting vegetables...cutting through armour and animals is different...." She pouts as she continues to cut more carefully, or rather as carefully as she could
[9:19 PM] Amasuro: Joshua stares at the grilling slices of pork, wishing that he had found some sort of spatula first.
[9:19 PM] Amasuro: He instead just takes a sword and begins flipping the pork slices with it.
[9:20 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Cuuutting something in a controlled manner isnt haaaaaard..... and what the hell are you doing...."
[9:20 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean smiled as he waved a spatula in Joshua's face as he used his own to flip the shrimp.
"You know I had two of these for a reason."
[9:21 PM] $Bemoney$: "It's not that it's too...trickkky..." She growls a bit as the knife gets lodged in the board. "It's just......okay it's a little tricky..." She said after she holds up a now bent knife.
[9:21 PM] Amasuro: "Oh, this would make it easier. Thanks."
Joshua takes one of the spatula's away from Jean.
[9:21 PM] Amasuro: "Well now I have to wash this sword."
[9:21 PM] Tori: "Uh...I'm impressed Claire"
[9:23 PM] $Bemoney$: "..." She glares at the knife, before taking out her own knife. "Hopefully this will fare better..."
[9:24 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean nodded.
"Perhaps you should pick a god and pray before you start cutting again Claire!"(edited)

[9:24 PM] $Bemoney$: "Nooo..." She stomps a little, going back to dicing. "I'm...just...putting a knife through this....and it's a counter not a table...."
[9:25 PM] Amasuro: "...And how much kimchi are you even slicing anyway? Are you dicing that, or something?"
[9:26 PM] $Bemoney$: "I dunno...I'm just putting it on the board thingy and cutting it." she shrugs at Joshua
[9:26 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "My granny could doo better, and sheee is dead......."
[9:27 PM] $Bemoney$: "Well- I don't cook often.." She shoots back.
[9:27 PM] Abyssal John John: "Angard could probably do better and she doesn't even have any hands!"
[9:27 PM] $Bemoney$: She slams the knife into the board, pausing to glare daggers at Jean
[9:28 PM] Tori: Tori looks at the cutting work Claire's done so far.
"I think I can fix this"
Tori grabs a second cutting board and a knife and begins making neater cuts on the kimchi.(edited)

"Why do I get the glare and not the maid over there? I feel like I'm being targeted here."
[9:28 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Because I aaaam correeeeect......"
[9:29 PM] Amasuro: Joshua decides that offering his opinion here would be fruitless, and returns back to grilling the pork slices.
[9:31 PM] $Bemoney$: Claire continues to pout as she continues to cut, following Tori's actions closely
[9:32 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean just chuckles as he continues grilling the shrimp.
Man I cannot wait to eat this.
[9:33 PM] Amasuro: Hmm, I could have diced the pork into smaller pieces. It could have fit better with the shrimp like that.
[9:34 PM] $Bemoney$: "Is this better?" She turns to Tori, presenting improved cuts, although it looks as if she chopped a live forest animal on that cutting board
[9:36 PM] Tori: Tori paused and looked over at Claire's work
"It's certainly better than before. Keep at it."
Most importantly, she's not trying to split the cutting board anymore.
[9:37 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean smiled.
"See, I told you if she picked a god and prayed she would do better. Now it's just a question of which one she prayed too."
[9:37 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Or she juuuust.... decided that weeell, the cutting table isnt the enemy...."
[9:38 PM] Amasuro: "Well, as long as we don't have to pay for the cutting table we should be fine."
[9:38 PM] Amasuro: "...Not like anyone really owns this place anymore."
[9:38 PM] $Bemoney$: She gives Jean another cold glare before going back to finishing what she started
[9:39 PM] Abyssal John John: "Why does she only give me those glares..."
[9:39 PM] Tori: Without turning or stopping

[9:40 PM] Abyssal John John: "I haven't hit on her at all though! Isn't she still dating that one monk? I only go after unchained fishes."
[9:40 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Jeeeeeeean going after unchaaaained fish..... what a joooke..."
[9:40 PM] Abyssal John John: "Even then Claire isn't my type she's too...pure for lack of a better term..."
[9:41 PM] $Bemoney$: "I don't get it..." She tilts her head as she continues to glare at Jean
[9:41 PM] Amasuro: We should probably use that other ingredient to give this meat some flavour.
"Hey, uh, could someone bring the onions over here?"
[9:42 PM] Abyssal John John: "Sure why not?" Jean grabbed the onions as he brought them over to Joshua.
"That reminds me Joshua I haven't seen Bahamut anywhere after we escaped? Did he end up getting sold off?"
[9:43 PM] Amasuro: "Ah, yes, my wyvern. I haven't seen him since we escaped. I...heard that we had lost some of our mounts while inside the prison."
[9:44 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean went quiet for a bit. What happened to Bahamut could have easily happened to Angard as well.
"Well I'm sorry for your loss Joshua. Hopefully he's alright..."
[9:44 PM] $Bemoney$: "Oh gods...that's horrible..."
[9:46 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Whateeever..... crying over it wont bring hiiiim back..."
Auriel shrugged, leaning slightly against the counter while looking over the others' work
[9:47 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean nodded.
"Of course but still it is truly heartbreaking to lose one's mount. I don't know what I would've done if Angard was gone..."
[9:47 PM] Amasuro: "No, don't be mistaken. I am rather glad that the others who had a stronger bond to their mounts managed to keep theirs."
[9:48 PM] Tori: Tori tunes out of the conversation
[9:48 PM] $Bemoney$: "Still...." She frowns, before focusing after a soft thunk was heard, indicating she's ran out of kimchi to massa- I mean cut
[9:51 PM] Abyssal John John: "Yes of course. I guess you can say we got lucky." Jean looked at the shrimp happy with their condition.
"I think this is good for now. This is more then enough for everyone and some leftovers." Jean took out some salt and pepper to lightly put on the Shrimp.
[9:53 PM] Tori: Tori finishes cutting the last of the kimchi as well
[9:53 PM] Amasuro: Joshua, in turn, began sprinkling the onions on top of the slices of pork, grilling the two ingredients side by side.

[9:55 PM] Amasuro: "So what was the plan again? Are we going to plate these three cooked ingredients together, and include the kimchi on the side?"
[9:56 PM] $Bemoney$: "That sounds about right...I think..."
[9:56 PM] Tori: "May as well put them all on each plate so everyone gets their fair share"
[9:57 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean nodded as he finished putting some garlic on the shrimp.
"I can certainly agree with that. Fine idea as always lady Tori!"
[9:58 PM] Amasuro: "Yes, this food smells quite...good. Ah, what did you call this again, surf and turf...?"
[9:58 PM] $Bemoney$: "What's...a surf?" She asks, washing her hands under a sink
[10:00 PM] Tori: "It's a steak-and-seafood dish. Though we had to make do with pork in this case."
Tori made her way to another sink to wash her hands too
[10:01 PM] $Bemoney$: "So...is...surf another way of saying steak...and turf is that for seafood?"
[10:01 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "The translaaaation does not haaaave to be literal you knoow....."
[10:02 PM] $Bemoney$: "W-well what woul-wh..."
[10:03 PM] Abyssal John John: "Well the surf refers to the waves of the ocean and the turf refers to the land. It's called a surf and turf since its a dish that combines food given from the sea with food given from the earth."
[10:04 PM] Amasuro: "Well that'll be the best explaination I might hear on the phrase surf and turf."
[10:04 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Prooobably...."
[10:05 PM] $Bemoney$: "But....what's a surf? I know that turf can usually be used to describe...like...a certain kind of ground...but what's a surf exactly?"
[10:06 PM] Abyssal John John: "A surf is what you call a line of foam that shows up on a beach after a wave comes in."(edited)
[10:08 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean looked back on the shrimp with pride.
"I've read about it in a book about geography I used to read back home."
[10:09 PM] $Bemoney$: "oohh....I see...."
[10:09 PM] Amasuro: Joshua begins removing the pork and onions from the grill, and begins putting them inside a massive bowl along the counter.
[10:09 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean does the same with the finished shrimp.
[10:09 PM] Amasuro: "Well, seems like all we have left to do is plate each dish. Good job, everyone."
[10:09 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Wonderfuuul..... What rewaaards do we get?"
[10:10 PM] Amasuro: "You get to...eat your own cooking?"
[10:11 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean shrugged.
"More then enough for me! Hopefully I can woo some ladies with this delectable shrimp!"
[10:11 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Whooo will belieeeve you maade it though."
[10:11 PM] Amasuro: "Heh, I will...ah, inform the ladies that the shrimp was your doing."
[10:12 PM] Tori: Tori muttered under her breath
"Not me that's for sure"
[10:12 PM] $Bemoney$: "Smells delightful.." She hums happily
[10:12 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean bowed to Joshua.
"Thank you Joshua. I can always count on you."
[10:13 PM] Amasuro: "Anything for a fellow rider, friend. But, I will go gather up our friends and bring them here for a meal."
Joshua begins to walk towards the door.
"Thanks again for your work here today, everyone."
[10:14 PM] Tori: "Right then, looks like we are done here."
Tori washes the knife and cutting board then walks out
[10:15 PM] $Bemoney$: "No problem." She smiles as she goes to wash her cutting board, which promptly falls to pieces as she picks it up
[10:16 PM] Abyssal John John: "No problem Joshua. I'm happy to help anytime." Jean washed his hands and the pan as he walked off but not before stuffing some of the shrimp into a small sack for him and Angard to have for later.
[10:17 PM] CrystalsintheSkies: "Hopefully it will be goood...... pfft."
She giggles to herself as Claire breaks the cutting board.
"Seeeee youuuuu!"
[10:17 PM] $Bemoney$: "...." She stays frozen, eyes fixed on her failures as a chef
[10:18 PM] Amasuro: Joshua turns off the lights as he leaves, forgetting Claire was inside.
[10:18 PM] $Bemoney$: Claire becomes that much more depressed
[10:19 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean comes back into the kitchen after noticing Claire didn't leave.
"Claire are you alright?"(edited)
[10:19 PM] $Bemoney$: "I am...."
[10:19 PM] $Bemoney$: "Cutting board isn't...."
[10:20 PM] Abyssal John John: Jean just patted her on the back.
"It's fine, it's fine. It was a noble sacrifice for the wonderful meal we're going to have. Look I'll go and buy a new cutting board and we can pretend like this never happened okay."
[10:21 PM] $Bemoney$: "But it did...." She looks at the freshly diced cutting board
[10:22 PM] Abyssal John John: "Don't worry, don't worry it's all fine." Jean helped lead the stunned Claire out of the kitchen as he payed his respects to the bravest warrior of Luna's little ragtag army.

[10:23 PM] $Bemoney$: Claire remained in silence for the rest of the day as she thought about how she brutally chopped the helpless thing
