[9:09 PM] bREWlager: A few hours after getting back from the mountains, Leodin went out towards the forest and sat down alongside a stream. His clothes were now dry, and he decided to wash off. After finishing, he just laid down along the side of the stream and closed his eyes to rest.
[9:10 PM] M I K A™: A few giggles fill the air as cold air brushes Leo's cheeks.
[9:12 PM] bREWlager: He sighs as he feels the breeze, but upon hearing the giggling, he opens his eyes and lifts his head slightly to look around.
[9:13 PM] M I K A™: A girl is looking down at him grinning. "You snore."(edited)
[9:16 PM] bREWlager: Leodin rolls to the side and quickly scoots backwards away from her.
"Is this a dream? Am I dreaming?"
[9:19 PM] M I K A™: "Am I dream..no stupid! You're awake, I mean I know I look dreamy but I'm real."
[9:25 PM] bREWlager: "....How long have you been here?"
[9:28 PM] M I K A™: "I don't know, like 400 years..give or take or do you mean looking at you..like a minute or so."
[9:29 PM] bREWlager: He stares in silence for a while, partially in disbelief, partially in curiosity.
[9:30 PM] M I K A™: "Don't stare, makes you look even more like a weirdo."
[9:31 PM] bREWlager: He breaks his gaze and closes his eyes for a moment.
"Ah...uh, who are you?"
[9:33 PM] M I K A™: She tugs one of her braids. "You can call me Kokyo, blue eyes."
[9:36 PM] bREWlager: He tries not to think of the implications of how she knows what his eye color is.
"Kokyo... you can call me Leodin."
[9:38 PM] M I K A™: "Leodin..strange name..but I've heard stranger." She pokes his mask. "What's this for anyway..it's looks dumb."
[9:39 PM] bREWlager: "It's uh.. to protect my identity..."
He takes it off. "But you've already seen my face, so I guess it doesn't matter."
[9:41 PM] M I K A™: "Handsome..though I gotta say the mask makes you look manlier." She grins and takes it, hiding her own face. "It is I Leodin! Here to steal the woman and sake!"
[9:43 PM] bREWlager: He grins nervously and chuckles.
"Uh...what?"
[9:44 PM] M I K A™: "What, is that not what you do with this mask, rob and lead a band of thieves?"
[9:45 PM] bREWlager: "Oh, no... I'm with the rebellion."
[9:46 PM] M I K A™: "Ah that..what is that?"
[9:47 PM] bREWlager: I guess it's hard for someone 400 years old to keep up with current events...
"The rebellion is the group of people trying to overthrow the oligarchy."
[9:50 PM] M I K A™: "I know what it is stupid! I just don't know what it's for? The land seems at peace."
[9:52 PM] bREWlager: "The land is...but the people aren't. The oligarchy doesn't treat it's citizens well."
[9:53 PM] M I K A™: "Oh same ole stuff..sounds terrible boring. The poor become rich and the cycle starts again."
[9:55 PM] bREWlager: I won't get anywhere by trying to explain this to her...
"Perhaps."
[9:58 PM] M I K A™: "Not perhaps, it always happen, what do you think happens when those who rebelled got money..they got corrupt. You're pretty stupid if you didn't know that. Even kids know that." She sticks her tongue out at him.
[10:06 PM] bREWlager: He frowns.
"All I'm trying to do is make life better for future generations... Living under the oligarchy won't do that."
[10:08 PM] M I K A™: "Wakatta, Wakatta, but what are you going to do after that. People need leaders to govern them. Else you end up with tons of dead people."
[10:09 PM] bREWlager: "Any government would be better than the oligarchy."
[10:11 PM] M I K A™: She rolls her eyes. "You're a dummy but girls like that."
[10:11 PM] bREWlager: "Excuse me?"
He tilts his head, confused.
[10:12 PM] M I K A™: "I said you are stupid but girls like that. Do you want me to say it slower?"
[10:13 PM] bREWlager: "I heard what you said... but why?"(edited)
[10:13 PM] M I K A™: "Why what..why are you stupid? Or why girls like that because that;s because stupid boys are nice."
[10:15 PM] bREWlager: "I just don't get why you told me that."
He shrugs.
[10:16 PM] M I K A™: "Because you just said Any government would be better than the oligarchy and thats dumb. Even a dictatorship is better then?"
[10:16 PM] bREWlager: "I... didn't mean that literally."
[10:17 PM] M I K A™: "Yeah you did, because if you didn't you would have said something else you dummy! I swear are all blonds stupid like you. I've never seem to know one with a good head on their shoulders."
[10:19 PM] bREWlager: He shakes his head.
"Alright then, any more criticisms?"
[10:21 PM] M I K A™: "Yeah, but I don't want to hurt you feeling more then I have..I don't think you could take it." She darts off now, laughing waving his mask in the air.
[10:22 PM] bREWlager: He sighs before standing up.
"I kinda need that!" he calls out.
[10:22 PM] M I K A™: "Then come and get it Leodin! Unless you can't keep up!"
[10:23 PM] bREWlager: He rolls his eyes before chasing her.
[10:24 PM] M I K A™: She laughing now. "See I knew you could catch up." She dancing around the forest grounds, slipping out of his reach.
[10:25 PM] bREWlager: He realizes that she's just trying to have fun, so he lightens up a little.
"Alright, have it your way!"
[10:27 PM] M I K A™: "Finally mister serious! I thought you forgot how to smile."
[10:30 PM] bREWlager: He continues to run after her, trying to get his mask back.
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say!"
[10:32 PM] M I K A™: She stops and pouts. "Ah well you're no fun!" She turns back to him and smile. "You've got a cute smile."
[10:32 PM] bREWlager: He stops as well and chuckles.
"Uh, thanks... you too."
[10:33 PM] M I K A™: "Is it? Aw I had hoped it was scary."
[10:34 PM] bREWlager: He gives a confused look.
"Why's that?"
[10:35 PM] M I K A™: "No reason Leodin" She tosses his mask back at him.
[10:36 PM] bREWlager: He catches it, but doesn't put it back on yet.
"Come on, there's more to it then that. Why would you want a scary smile?"
[10:37 PM] M I K A™: "Because the dead should be a little scary."
[10:37 PM] bREWlager: "...Dead?"
[10:38 PM] M I K A™: She nods. "Pretty scary right."
[10:39 PM] bREWlager: "Not scary, just... surprising. I knew something was off, but in all honesty, you don't look very dead."
[10:40 PM] M I K A™: "Well to someone as dumb as you yeah but I'm sure someone who can look pass this could tell."
[10:42 PM] bREWlager: "What makes you think I'm so dumb? I mean, compared to 400 years, I guess I could see why you'd think that..."(edited)
[10:42 PM] M I K A: "You just answered you own question dummy."
[10:45 PM] bREWlager: "I was saying that from your point of view. I'm asking from an objective standpoint why I'm dumb."
[10:49 PM] M I K A: 'I guess not dumb..naive...yeah naive."
[10:50 PM] bREWlager: "Well... that's fair. I give you that."
He laughs and crosses his arms, leaning on a tree.
[10:54 PM] M I K A: She swings her arms watching him. "I like naive boys..they always have the nicest smiles."
[10:56 PM] bREWlager: "Heh... uh, thanks?"
He says with a smile.
[10:58 PM] M I K A: "For a rebel, you're way to nice..it..weird." She's smiling though. "Hey Leodin..where is this place?"
[11:00 PM] bREWlager: He stands up straight again and looks towards the direction he came from, pointing.
"There's a prison right over there. That's where we have our camp set up."
[11:01 PM] M I K A: "No..No I mean..this isn't hoshido is it?"
[11:02 PM] bREWlager: "Oh, no... you're far from Hoshido, I'm afraid. You're in the Khlinese Oligarchy."
[11:04 PM] M I K A: She sighs. "How terrible...I couldn't even be dead in my home country..what a foolish girl I was."
[11:04 PM] bREWlager: He walks closer to her.
"W-what do you mean? What happened?"
[11:07 PM] M I K A: "I meet a boy..someone whom I thought was naive like I was..I should have known, his smile wasn't warm and sweet like your is..I ran away with him..pretty far it would seem. I thought I was something special to him but I guess I was not."
[11:10 PM] bREWlager: "I... I'm sorry..."
"Why did you stay here?"
[11:12 PM] M I K A: "I can't leave..my body is still here and so I am stuck."
[11:14 PM] bREWlager: "How would the body still be here after all this time?"
[11:16 PM] M I K A: "My bones dummy! Gosh..and who knows where my skull is."
[11:16 PM] bREWlager: "So... you're not able to move your body then?"
[11:19 PM] M I K A: "No I can't. A pain." She sighs and floats up.
[11:20 PM] bREWlager: "Well... why don't I help you then?"
[11:21 PM] M I K A: "I would like it but I don't even know where my bones are. It's been a long time."
[11:22 PM] bREWlager: "I'm sure if you think about it, you should remember it... It can't be too far from here, right?"
[11:25 PM] M I K A: "Maybe..or maybe they are in the creak..or..oh I don't know Leodin!"
[11:26 PM] bREWlager: "That's okay Kokyo... I'll help you."
[11:28 PM] M I K A: "Leodin you could be out here all night searching..I'd rather have fun memories of being with you. Come, a little farther up is this cool little field of deep red flowers."
[11:29 PM] bREWlager: Leodin would do as she asked for now, but knew that he had to help her. Otherwise she could be stuck here forever, never able to return to her home.
He nods. "Okay, let's go."
[11:33 PM] M I K A: She grins and dashes off. "Come on slowpoke."
[11:34 PM] bREWlager: He chuckles for a second before running after her.
[11:36 PM] M I K A: The forest parts for this field as Kokyo falls into the flowers. "Isn't it pretty! I usually just come here alone so its nice to have company."
[11:39 PM] bREWlager: Leodin walks up to her and looks around, the rare occurence of flowers in Khlin delighting him, and reminding him of the flowers Ellis had showed him back in Amaterasu.
"It's beautiful." he says simply.
[11:42 PM] M I K A: She undos her braids. "There are some berries over there, I think you can eat them..the deer do." She places some flowers in her hair and laughs when they fall through it.
[11:49 PM] bREWlager: Leodin sits next to her and leans back on his hands.
"It seems you got a bit lucky. Most places in Khlin aren't quite this beautiful."
[11:51 PM] M I K A: "I don't care..I wish I could have seen more.." She sighs.
[11:58 PM] bREWlager: He tries to put his hand on her shoulder, finding that it just sinks through. He looks at the ground, sympathetic about her unusual fate.
[12:05 AM] M I K A: "You can't touch a ghost dummy.."She frowning. "But...we can touch you." She lays her cold hand on his.
[12:12 AM] bREWlager: His hand shivers a bit. "...How did this happen to you?"
[12:13 AM] M I K A: "What do you mean..I died Leodin. That is how one become ghost."
[12:19 AM] bREWlager: "Then why don't I see more ghosts around?"
[7:52 AM] M I K A: "Perhaps they don't want to be seen or maybe not a lot of people died with terrible regret in their heart in this place..."
[7:56 AM] bREWlager: "...What is it that you regret?"
[8:00 AM] M I K A: "That I died so far from home...that my family will never know what became of me..that I was never loved back..."
[8:02 AM] bREWlager: "If you were to...go back to Hoshido...what would happen?"
[8:27 AM] M I K A: "I don't know..I'd be much happier.."
[8:28 AM] bREWlager: He nods. "Then I'm going to help you get there."
[8:29 AM] M I K A: "Leodin..you said that my home was far from here..and don't you have some type of rebellion..look you don't have to help..I know I'll be stuck here forever."
[8:30 AM] bREWlager: "No Kokyo... after we finish our quest, I promise to take you back to Hoshido."
[8:31 AM] M I K A: She laughs. "You'll forget by then."
[8:32 AM] bREWlager: He shakes his head. "I mean it Kokyo. I'm going to help you."
[8:33 AM] M I K A: She sighs. "I..I'll hold you to that..I'll wait for you ok. Don't forget me..please."
[8:36 AM] bREWlager: "I won't forget you..."
[8:38 AM] M I K A: "You better not, else I have one more regret keeping me here." She lays her head on his shoulder, chilling it. "Will you also..find out what happen to my family..it's been a long time.."
[8:40 AM] bREWlager: "I'll do the best I can to find out."
[8:43 AM] M I K A: "You know in life I was a dancer, thats how I first met that man. I danced for him and he said he fell in love. Which now sounds pretty stupid but I was 17 and silly."
[8:46 AM] bREWlager: "I have to admit, something similar happened to me...but I then realized that it wasn't actually love. Now that woman is one of my best friends."
[8:47 AM] M I K A: "I'm glad it ended well for you.." She stands. "Would you like to see me dance?"
[8:50 AM] bREWlager: "Oh.. of course! That would be great."
[9:03 AM] M I K A: She smiles. "It might be outdated but..bear with me ok Leodin." She begins her dance..which is slow and percise..more like actions instead of dancing..but there is a grace to it and she looks happy.
[11:09 AM] bREWlager: Leodin watches as she goes through the movements and claps when she finishes, smiling.
[11:11 AM] M I K A: "Ah thank you..I bet it was boring to you."
[11:12 AM] bREWlager: "No! no, it was great!"
[11:34 AM] M I K A: "Oh really I'm glad!" She grins. "I haven't danced in a long time."
[11:36 AM] bREWlager: He nods.
"I loved it. You were wonderful."
[11:37 AM] M I K A: "Ah..he said the same..."
[11:38 AM] bREWlager: "Oh... well, he's right."
[11:46 AM] M I K A: She sits back down. "You should be getting back,,the night will come soon."
[11:46 AM] bREWlager: He shrugs.
"I don't really mind... It's quite peaceful out here."
[11:47 AM] M I K A: "Yes but what if something scary comes out..I mean all the weirdos comes out at night."
[11:47 AM] bREWlager: "I think I can handle myself, Kokyo. Thank you though."
[11:51 AM] M I K A: She shrugs. "You are stubborn. It's cute in a way."
[11:52 AM] bREWlager: "Heh... uh, thanks."
He grins awkwardly.
[11:54 AM] M I K A: She laughs and scoots closer to him. "Will you really come back for me?"
[11:54 AM] bREWlager: "Of course."
[12:02 PM] M I K A: "I hate having to trust a stranger so I won't. Only if I see you come back will I trust you."
[12:03 PM] bREWlager: He frowns.
"I understand... but I promise that I'll come back."
[12:07 PM] M I K A: "Ok..ok.." She sighs.
[12:08 PM] bREWlager: "I wish there was a way to get you to believe me..."
[12:11 PM] M I K A: "No I just..I..I just don't want to be hurt again."
[12:12 PM] bREWlager: "You don't have to worry."
He gives her a reassuring look.
[12:15 PM] M I K A: "I know..you seem like a good man Leodin.."
[12:16 PM] bREWlager: He closes his eyes and lays down in the grass, smiling.
[12:17 PM] M I K A: She grins and lays over him.
[12:19 PM] bREWlager: He opens his eyes and looks at her, unsure of what he's getting himself into.
[12:20 PM] M I K A: "I wish I had meet you when I was alive."
[12:20 PM] bREWlager: "Hm? Why's that?"
[12:21 PM] M I K A: "Because I wouldn't have fell for that man.You would have stopped me..protected me."
[12:22 PM] bREWlager: "I...can't stop someone from feeling a certain way..."
[12:28 PM] M I K A: "Maybe but..maybe not.."
[12:31 PM] bREWlager: "The past is behind us.. All we can do is look forward to the future."
[12:34 PM] M I K A: "The one I don't have?"
[12:36 PM] bREWlager: "What are you saying? Of course you have a future."
He looks up at the sky as it darkens, and the stars begin to show.
[12:37 PM] M I K A: "Not really dummy, I'm dead my future diseapeared long ago."
[12:38 PM] bREWlager: "But you still have plenty to look forward to.. you'll get to go back to Hoshido."
[12:42 PM] M I K A: She looks away. "I wonder what its like back home."
[12:43 PM] bREWlager: "I've never been to Hoshido so I couldn't tell you..."
[12:58 PM] M I K A: "Never?"
[12:59 PM] bREWlager: He shakes his head.
"No, but I'm willing to make the trek there to help you."
[12:59 PM] M I K A: "But..what about your friends?"
[1:00 PM] bREWlager: "My friends will understand."
[1:04 PM] M I K A: "That you're helping a ghost..."
[1:05 PM] bREWlager: "That I'm helping a person."
[1:07 PM] M I K A: "Ohh Leodin you're not going to tell them I'm dead hmmm"
[1:07 PM] bREWlager: "That's not what I mean... I mean that being a ghost doesn't make you any less human."
[1:12 PM] M I K A: "...It kinda does.."
[1:15 PM] bREWlager: "It doesn't have to though. You treated me like a human and I treat you the same. You're a person Kokyo..."
[1:17 PM] M I K A: "Leodin.."
[1:18 PM] bREWlager: "...Hm?"
[1:25 PM] M I K A: She pokes his face hard.
[1:25 PM] bREWlager: "What was that for...?"
[1:26 PM] M I K A: She blushes. "For being a weirdo."
[1:26 PM] bREWlager: "Heh... what's weird about it?"
[1:28 PM] M I K A: She just shoves a few flowers into his face.
[1:29 PM] bREWlager: "No fair! I'm not able to put flowers in your face!"
[1:30 PM] M I K A: She smirks. "Don't be such a kid."
[1:31 PM] bREWlager: "Well you have a few hundred years on me, what am I supposed to do?"
[1:33 PM] M I K A: "Oh hush!" Sh floats up and giggles. "I don't look that old do I?"
[1:35 PM] bREWlager: "You know that's not what I mean!"
[1:38 PM] M I K A: "I know, you're just easy to tease."
[1:38 PM] bREWlager: Everyone always says that...
"I guess so."
[1:39 PM] M I K A: "It's the good in you..nice naive boys get flustered so easily." She floats in front of him. "Do you have a wife?"
[1:40 PM] bREWlager: "Oh, no... I probably won't for a while."
[1:44 PM] M I K A: "Oh..ohhh the rebellion.."
[1:45 PM] bREWlager: He nods.
"I wouldn't want to settle down and raise a family until the country is safer."
[1:47 PM] M I K A: "That makes sense. Leodin don't you think it's time to head back now. The moon is almost in the middle of the sjy now."
[1:48 PM] bREWlager: "I don't see any reason not to sleep out here under the stars..."
[1:48 PM] M I K A: "You will get cold."
[1:49 PM] bREWlager: "Oh believe me, I'm used to sleeping outside."
[1:49 PM] M I K A: "..Did you not have a home?"
[1:50 PM] bREWlager: "I did...but I don't really talk about it much."
[1:52 PM] M I K A: "Ok then..lets talk about this place..Khlian..when I came here it didn't have a name..or so the man told me."
[1:53 PM] bREWlager: "That must have been a long time ago..."
[1:56 PM] M I K A: She nods. "We were going somewhere..I don't remember where.." She frowns. "I had taking all my dowry with us..I think 600 or so gold.."
[1:59 PM] bREWlager: "Why did he want you to come here?"
[2:00 PM] M I K A: She looks at him. "...T-To..to start over here..make a nation for ourselves..to me this was just him joking."
[2:02 PM] bREWlager: "And...did he kill you?"
[2:05 PM] M I K A: She nods. "Yes..he did. I had just finishes washing off when he caught me off guard and pinned me down..luckily since I was still a little wet I slipped out from under him and ran. Unluckily I tripped before I could make it out of the forest..it hurt..how I died."
[2:06 PM] bREWlager: "I'm sorry... you didn't deserve that."
[2:08 PM] M I K A: "I..I wish I knew what happen to him..did he go on to live happily..I could have lived if someone had found me in time..but he took me to this awful place! This land with no name and now I'm stuck here!"
[2:09 PM] bREWlager: He wanted to hug her but knew he couldn't.
"Kokyo..." he says, not saying anything more, but just saying her name to calm her down.
[2:10 PM] M I K A: "I hate this place! I hate hate this place!"
[2:11 PM] bREWlager: He closes his eyes and sighs.
"We all do..."
[2:15 PM] M I K A: She sobs. "I want to go home! I want to see the cherry blossoms! I want to eat Nikujaga! I hate that man!" Her form twist now, wounds coming back to her as her tears turn black.
[2:15 PM] bREWlager: "I'll help you Kokyo. Please don't cry..."
[2:16 PM] M I K A: 'N-No! Leave me ALONE!" She disappears.
[2:18 PM] bREWlager: He sits there, looking at the space where she just was. He doesn't leave, because he doesn't want her to return and find him gone. He simply lays down and stares at the stars.
[5:48 PM] bREWlager: ===2 hours later===
[5:49 PM] M I K A: Kokyo lays limp on the creak bank, trying not to cry. How she hated when she got like this. She slowly makes her way back to where the flowers were..falling among them to hide her sorrows.(edited)
[5:52 PM] bREWlager: Leodin sees her come back to the clearing and walks over to her, then sits next to her.
"Are you okay Kokyo?"
[5:53 PM] M I K A: "No."
[5:53 PM] bREWlager: "I-is there anything I can do to help?"
[5:55 PM] M I K A: "No..I don't think so..I just want to see my family again."
[5:58 PM] bREWlager: "I really don't know how to help you right now... I'm sorry."
[5:59 PM] M I K A: "Why are you still here?"
[5:59 PM] bREWlager: "Because I can't let you go on like this..."
[6:08 PM] M I K A: "You could."
[6:09 PM] bREWlager: "I won't ever abandon you, Kokyo."
[6:10 PM] M I K A: She hugs him, crying, "Why did he kill me Leodin!"
[6:11 PM] bREWlager: He knows he can't hug her back, but tries anyway.
"I...I don't know. I wish I did."
[6:11 PM] M I K A: "I thought he loved me!"
[6:12 PM] bREWlager: Leodin has no answer. He just sits there and lets her grieve.
[6:19 PM] M I K A: She sniffles. "I wanted to be loved."
[6:20 PM] bREWlager: "No one will fault you for that Kokyo..."
[6:21 PM] M I K A: "I..I just want to rest..I'm tired of being here."
[6:22 PM] bREWlager: "I'm going to help you. I promise."
[6:26 PM] M I K A: "You better, else I'll curse you."
[6:27 PM] bREWlager: "Um... you didn't need to say that, I was going to help either way..."
[6:30 PM] M I K A: "It's just a warning."
[6:31 PM] bREWlager: "You have nothing to worry about Kokyo."
[6:31 PM] M I K A: "Good..thank you Leodin." She kisses his forehead.
[6:32 PM] bREWlager: He looks at her for a moment before laying back down again.
[6:33 PM] M I K A: She grins and pecks his lips.
[6:34 PM] bREWlager: He blinks a few times.
"W-what was that for...?"
[6:38 PM] M I K A: "Because I wanted too."
[6:39 PM] bREWlager: "Uh... okay..."
He doesn't really know what to say, and just closes his eyes.
[6:43 PM] M I K A: She watches the stars. "Maybe this land isn't so bad..it let us meet."
[6:43 PM] bREWlager: "Yeah... I suppose so..."
[6:46 PM] M I K A: "Did you not want to meet..well that make sense..most don't want to meet a dead girl."
[6:47 PM] bREWlager: "No! No, that's not what I meant at all. I just wasn't expecting to meet you."
[6:52 PM] M I K A: "But aren't you glad you did."
[6:52 PM] bREWlager: "Of course." He says simply.
[6:55 PM] M I K A: She moves closer to him, smiling. "Do you mind if I held your hand?"
[6:56 PM] bREWlager: "I.. I guess not."
[7:00 PM] M I K A: She links their fingers.
[7:07 PM] bREWlager: I don't know what she's trying to do... I like her, but as a friend. I could never betray Ellis like that.
He sighs and relaxes in the grass, feeling himself get tired.
[7:12 PM] M I K A: She watches the sky grow darker. For a moment she could almost believe they were together. It was a nice feeling..for being fake.
[7:17 PM] bREWlager: "I.. think I'll just spend the night out here. If that's okay with you."
[7:21 PM] M I K A: She nods and lays down next to him. "I don't mind at all."
[7:31 PM] bREWlager: He sighed and slowly drifted off to sleep.
[7:32 PM] M I K A: She cuddle up and fades away, making sure to leave a few flowers on his face.
