[9:20 PM] Sabanrab: Soon after she reported the results of the raid, Claire made her way down to the medic ward to see how Versailles was doing. Oddly enough, the two hadn't really found the time to spend time together, which Claire is beginning to regret considering she has gone on two rescue raids without him, despite what they talked about.
[9:22 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: Versailles sat at a bed bandaging a patient's leg. "Its not so bad. You'll probably be able to walk in a week. Just rest for now." He smiled and finished, putting his supplies in his bag.
[9:23 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He stood up and noticed Claire. "Claire! How are you?"
[9:25 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He looked at her in her armor and gave her a quizzical look.
[9:28 PM] Sabanrab: Noticing the quizzical look, Claire tries to hide the subject, until she can find out how to tell him. "Hey, I've been well! What about you? I don't think we've really spoken much, or even seen each other at all recently..."
[9:30 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Yes, its unfortunate but we've both been busy, I did hear about you helping around from the other nurses." He smiled. "Oh I got to talk to Vivianna a little. That was an interesting conversation." he sighed.
[9:33 PM] Sabanrab: "Oh was it? What did you two talk about?"
[9:35 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Well first I learned that she and Sula were betrothed which was exciting but then she said she wanted to leave him. She said that she loved him and knew she would continue to love him but at that moment, she wouldn't mind leaving him..." He shook his head. " I told her that that was okay, but she needed to tell him. She eventually agreed but I have yet to hear the result."
[9:44 PM] Sabanrab: "Oh..." She sounded concerned. "Well, I'm sure they'll work it out, but..Betrothed already? I..I'm happy but... I can't help but feel anxious about our relationship when I think about it"
[9:48 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Yes, Vivianna did ask if I thought it was too soon for her and Sula but I think its different for everyone. Though in our case, I suppose you did meet my mother already."
[9:50 PM] Sabanrab: "eheh..I guess I did" She said as her cheeks turned a little rosey. "But you didn't meet mine yet, and with our current situation, I don't think that will happen any time soon."
[9:51 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He nodded. "I assume there hasn't been any messages received with the ongoing invasion?"
[9:52 PM] Sabanrab: "Things have calmed down out there...I'm sure things will be getting back to normal once all the survivors have been found."
[9:53 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "I hope..." he gave a tired look.
[9:53 PM] Sabanrab: "Are you alright?" She stepped closer.
[9:55 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "I just want it all to end. The suffering, the fighting." He sighed. "I just want us to go back to spending time exploring Amaterasu..."
[9:57 PM] Sabanrab: "I know..Me too, but, I guess at the end of the day, That's why we're fighting, for the day where we can all just spend time with the ones we love."
[9:58 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He smiled at her. "Yes, you're right. And I'd gladly fight through as long as I'm with you."
[10:01 PM] Sabanrab: "and especially at times like these, where little victories, like the rescue raids, remind you of why we fight."
[10:02 PM] Sabanrab: "Are you busy right now? I was thinking we can just walk around together..."
[10:03 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "I'm done for now, so, I'd love to."
[10:05 PM] Sabanrab: "Really?" Her voice raised in excitement. "But, uh, I haven't really thought of where we could go..."
[10:07 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Anywhere's fine. I don't mind wandering."
[10:10 PM] Sabanrab: "OK!" She said, grabbing his hand and leading the two out to the ground floor.
[10:11 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He lets her lead, clasping his bag in his other hand.
[10:12 PM] Sabanrab: She slows down to walk beside him. The two walk around the castle grounds
[10:15 PM] Sabanrab: "I, I knda have to tell you something..."
[10:15 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Oh? What is it?"
[10:16 PM] Sabanrab: "I ... I went on a rescue raid...s, I went on 2 rescue raids." She said, looking away.
[10:17 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "You what?! And you didn't tell me?" He squeezed her hand. "What if you got injured? I thought we were doing this together..."
[10:19 PM] Sabanrab: She winces. "I-I know that we talked about this...but-I, I still didn't want to risk you being injured!"
[10:20 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "I know but..." He frowned, holding her hand close. "Its my fault for not being with you, I got too focused in other things..."
[10:22 PM] Sabanrab: "No don't blame yourself...I just got impatient. It's been a week and there still was no sign of Alisa...I couldn't just sit still anymore, but I was still feeling conflicted as to whether to go with your or not..."
[10:22 PM] Sabanrab: She holds his hand with both her hands
[10:24 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "But if I was around, we could have gone without wait. I guess I just stalled because I didn't want you to go either..."
[10:27 PM] Sabanrab: "No! stop saying stuff like that..." She stops and looks down... "I think it's safe to say we were both kind of at fault..."
[10:28 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "I..." He just looks at her, disappointed in himself.
[10:30 PM] Sabanrab: "Well, on the bright side...I found Alisa..."
[10:31 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Thats good." He mumbled. He pulled her into a hug.
[10:33 PM] Sabanrab: As her face was in his chest, images of her beaten friend flashed through her mind, causing her to slowly whimper into a light sob
[10:37 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: Surprised by her sudden crying Versailles held her tight and petted her head. "How is she?"
[10:39 PM] Sabanrab: Claire took a bit to calm down. "sniff She's beaten all over. we-we found her in the side of a building...I-i-it was horrible..."
[10:41 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He nodded. "I see... But she's tough, she can pull through..."
[10:42 PM] Sabanrab: She nods as she continues to wet his robes with tears
[10:43 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Shh... its okay, we can be happy that you found her." He tried consoling her, looking her in the eye.
[10:47 PM] Sabanrab: "I, I just felt so weak when I found her, like there was nothing I could do for her, even after all she's been through"
[10:48 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Yeah, but now that she's with us, you can protect her here."
[10:49 PM] Sabanrab: "R-right" She said as she held him close, her shivering slowed as she calmed down.(edited)
[10:50 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "How about we finish this walk?"
[10:51 PM] Sabanrab: "Can we just, stay like this for a while?"
[10:51 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Whatever you want." He smiled, squeezing her.
[10:53 PM] Sabanrab: After a bit, Claire begins to slowly pull back. "I guess I missed you more than I thought I did."
[10:57 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "I missed you too, getting to visit you everyday... Although I don't like you being bed-ridden."
[10:58 PM] Sabanrab: "hm" She chuckles. "How about we try to meet at the end of everyday, before we turn into our quarters?"
[10:59 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: He nodded, "I like that idea."
[11:00 PM] Sabanrab: "But where? maybe...The mess hall?"
[11:01 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Well, I know where that is so it should work."
[11:01 PM] Sabanrab: "Mhm, and in case we have to relocate, we can go to the general eating area."
[11:02 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Alright, its agreed."
[11:04 PM] Sabanrab: "Great!" She moves beside him, still holding his hand.
[11:05 PM] Iron Lord spikethe3rd: "Shall we?" He starts walking again, hand-in-hand.
[11:05 PM] Sabanrab: "Yup!"
